Ando urges Hiro to use his power and travel back in time to stop certain catastrophic events. Hiro refuses to, and then the precog asks Hiro if he'll choose his own path or have it chosen for him. Hiro and Ando look at one painting on a rock of Matt Parkman marrying Daphne.

An angry Suresh confronts Tracy and Nathan for "ruining everything". Suresh says he needs just one more sample from them to find a cure for removing abilities. Nathan says no way, and Suresh leaps up towards where he has Maya in a web. Suresh undoes the web, then crashes through a glass pane with her escaping the lab.

We see a vision of Peter and Nathan discussing their father's death. Peter has a nightmare recollection of his father Arthur Petrelli taking away his powers, then awakens handcuffed to a gurney. Arthur says he's trying to make sure the future Peter saw never happens. Peter tells his father he will find a way to shut him down and make him pay for everything he's ever done. Mr. Petrelli tells Peter he's grounded until he changes his attitude.

Claire and Sandra Bennet arrive home discussing their incident with Doyle. Claire says it's weird they just starred in a puppet show, her father's working with a serial killer and now she can't feel any pain. As they enter their home at night, they notice the lights/electricity are acting strange. Inside they find Claire's brother Lyle down on the ground from an apparent attack. Claire finds Elle sitting at their computer, and asks her why she's in her home. Elle says she's not leaving until she gets what she came for. Elle begins trying to electrocute Claire, but Claire smiles as she feels no pain from it. Claire grabs Elle by the hair and prepares to throw her out, but Elle knocks her down and increases the voltage. Just then, Claire's brother tosses a bucket of water onto Elle causing her to scream out in pain. Elle sinks into a corner in the kitchen and tells Claire she needs help and didn't know where else to turn.

Suresh meets with Arthur Petrelli at Pinehearst, where Maya is strapped down in a hospital bed. Suresh asks why he would put his children and family through thinking he was dead. Arthur tells Suresh he is among friends. Suresh says he's been trying to find a way to help Maya get rid of her abilities. Arthur tells him to just watch, then walks in and puts his hands on Maya, causing her to convulse. Shortly after, Maya's powers are removed and Arthur's eyes gloss over completely black. Suresh is amazed by what he sees happen. Suresh goes in to greet Maya and she tells Arthur to get Suresh away from her. Arthur takes Suresh into a big Pinehearst laboratory where Suresh sees formulas written up similar to his own. Arthur says they've taken it as far as they can and need Suresh's help to finish it. He says then maybe a fresh injection will reverse the side effects Suresh is getting yet allow him to keep his powers. Suresh asks for test subjects.

Angela Petrelli is still in a coma and goes to talk to Gabriel Gray aka "Sylar", in what appears to be a visionary state (possibly an illusion made by Matt Parkman's dad). Angela tells Sylar he needs to go help Peter. Sylar says he belongs in this cell. Angela tells Sylar to show everyone how he's her favorite and make her proud. Sylar is able to use his powers to undo his straps and move the cell door open. He goes in to kiss Angela on the forehead and says he'll save Peter.

Elle tells Claire that her abilities are uncontrollable now and its causing her not to eat and making her feel a lot of pain. Claire tells Elle she's feeling similar effects, except she can't feel pain and feels it's a matter of time before she can't feel a thing. Elle reveals a card to Claire for Pinehearst and says she thinks they can help but wanted to ask Mr. Bennet first. Claire and Elle decide to team up and head to Pinehearst to see if the people there can help them.

Arthur Petrelli, Knox and Maury (Parkman's dad) confront Daphne over her mess up in not fully recruiting Parkman. Daphne says he wasn't buying the pitch. Arthur asked if she thought thoughts that would convince Parkman not to join. Daphne says no, but Knox senses her fear level rising and says she's lying. Mr. Petrelli asks Daphne to revisit Parkman, only this time to kill him. Maury gets in Arthur's face saying he won't allow this. Arthur strkes Maury causing him to fall to the ground dead. Daphne asks if there's any other way to do this.

Claire prepares to head to Pinehearst. Sandra Bennet urges her not to leave or trust Elle. Claire begs her mother not to contact HRG because he can't fix her. Claire says both her and Elle need help so they have to go. Sandra ok's the trip.

Matt Parkman calls Suresh to leave a message about the crazy week he just had. Just then, Daphne shows up at Parkman's apartment pointing a gun at him. Daphne says they think she's not one of them because she told him not to come to Pinehearst. Matt tells her to shoot him if it will save her life. Matt turns her back on her and says they will eventually get married and love each other. Daphne drops the gun crying, saying she's sorry there's nothing she could do. Matt reads her mind and realizes that his father was killed.

Arthur and two guards go into Peter's room to find him missing from the bed he was cuffed to. Peter comes running towards Arthur with a side of the bed, ready to hit him. Arthur uses telekinesis and flings the metal away from Peter. Arthur tells Peter he will help him get this done one way or the other. The two guards strap Peter back on a gurney and wheel him to the lab for Suresh.

In the lab, Peter realizes it's his old friend Suresh and tells him of the future he saw. Suresh says he needs to experiment on Peter because he has a high metabolism for abilities. Peter says in the future Suresh asked him to help. Suresh asks what he looked like and Peter says like a monster. Suresh tells Peter he's too late then, and prepares to inject him. Just then the syringe flies out of Suresh's hand and Sylar appears. Sylar flings Suresh against a back wall and kills the other lab technician. Peter's shocked by Sylar helping him. Sylar unstraps Peter and says he came to save him since that's what brothers do. Just then, Suresh leaps down with his superior strength and pummels Sylar. Arthur enters the lab as Peter manages to start running down the hall. Suresh is pounding Sylar's head against the floor causing him to bleed massively. Arthur tells Suresh to stop because it's his son who he's been waiting for a long time.

Nathan and Tracy await the arrival of someone from the Company at Suresh' lab. Tracy comments about the people who are suspended against Suresh's wall in a web-like substance. Tracy walks over and tries to free one man, but finds the substance is too tough to break through. The man suddenly reaches out and grabs Tracy around the throat. Nathan goes over to try to break the hold. Just then, a stun gun shoots into the man in the web. HRG is there with Meredith who comments that Nathan still has a weakness for blondes.

Elle and Claire are on board a plane heading off on their trip to Pinehearst. Elle tells Claire she's an anxious flier, as her electricity seems to be out of control. Claire starts to remark how Elle messed up and let all the villains escape from Level 5. Elle becomes more upset and her electricity starts to shake the plane uncontrollably. The pilot comes on the PA asking all passengers to shut off electrical devices. Claire yells at Elle to take her hand and dump all her electricity into her. After doing so for several moments, Elle is able to calm the power down. The two smile at each other then let go of each other's hands.

Daphne tells Matt they're sending someone to make sure she killed him. Knox shows up outside the apartment and overhears Daphne warning Matt saying she's scared. Knox grows stronger off her fear and kicks the door in. Daphne's fear continues to build in Knox. Daphne tries to run, but Knox puts out an arm and clotheslines her down. Matt gets in Knox's face saying he'll dig dip inside his head to find out what scares him, then make it eat him alive. Knox tells Parkman he's the one who's scared, then punches straight through Parkman's guts. Parkman falls to the ground next to Daphne.

After Knox leaves the apartment, the scene of Daphne and Matt lying on the floor dead disappears. Matt and Daphne rush in from the kitchen and Daphne tells Matt what he just did was amazing. Daphne gives Matt a kiss on the cheek and says now they have time to escape. Matt tells her again he's not running. Daphne says no matter what Matt does he won't be able to bring his dad back. Matt says he's a cop and bringing guys like Knox down is his speciality. Daphne says they'll need help to do this and Matt suggests Primatech.

One of the villains tells Arthur that Peter is long gone. He asks the thug to bring Peter back to him alive. Arthur has Sylar suspended in the air so he can talk to him. Sylar says he's going to get revenge on him for what he did to his mother. Arthur tells Sylar the truth about Angela. He says she was so horrified of her vision of what Sylar would become in the future, she tried to kill him. Arthur says he got to the bathtub just in time to stop her. Arthur dropped Sylar from the air and reached out a hand.

Peter was shown escaping from Pinehearst, ducking down a hall just as Suresh turned a corner. Peter got into an elevator as Suresh spotted Maya on a lower level about to leave. Suresh went down and told Maya his feelings and intentions with her were real. Maya says maybe one day she'll be able to forgive him. Maya says she needs to make amends for what she did, and so does he. Maya tells Suresh to get well, and walks off on him.

Claire and Elle arrive at Pinehearst. Claire admits to Elle she was scared about finding out what is going on with her. Claire thanks Elle for this. Meanwhile inside Pinehearst, Peter finds Sylar sitting in a chair in one room. Peter tells Sylar he's not leaving without him. Sylar says their mother did terrible things, and their father is trying to help. Peter tells Sylar not to trust him because he manipulates people. Just then, Arthur enters the room. Peter tells Sylar not to listen to him and just use his abilities to beat him up so they can leave. Sylar says he's not going anywhere, then uses telekinesis to fling Peter through a glass building. Peter falls several stories to the ground below.

Claire and Elle see Peter crash to the ground and rush over to him. Claire tells Peter they came to get help with their abilities and issues. Peter warns them that they stole all his abilities, so they need to leave immediately. Elle tells Claire she can't go and apologizes, then turns to head into Pinehearts. Claire helps Peter walk, and asks why he didn't die if they took his abilities. Peter says he doesn't know.

HRG, Meredith, Nathan and Tracy discuss what Suresh did. Nathan says they were injected and HRG tells them they need to come to Primatech for testing. As Nathan gets a phone call from Claire, Meredith warns Tracy to watch out for Nathan. Tracy says they're not together. While talking on his cell to Claire, Nathan says he won't tell anyone.

Arthur and Sylar look through the broken glass window that Sylar tossed Peter through. Sylar tells him that Peter won't ever give up. Arthur remarks it's because Petrelli's have that in their blood. Arthur mentions it's strange Peter fell so far down and survived the fall. Just then Arthur gets a call from Daphne. Daphne tells Arthur that the plan worked and Parkman believes her. Arthur tells Daphne not to screw things up or she'll be back where he found her.

Claire tends to Peter who's badly injured from his fall. He tells her that he didn't fall as far or hard as he should have, so he believes Sylar must have saved him. Just then, Nathan and Tracy show up. Peter reveals to Nathan that their father's alive and stole his powers. Nathan asks where he is. After more questioning, Claire tells him Pinehearst. Peter warns Nathan not go because it's too dangerous. Nathan says he'll call the Justice Department to shut Pinehearst down. As Tracy and Nathan leave, Nathan reveals he's going to Pinehearst. Tracy informs him she has been taking a consultant fee from them for a year, and will come along to help.

Ando and Hiro sit with the precog. The precog serves up a special recipe he mixed up in a wooden bowl. Hiro asks for another way to learn his enemy's weaknesses so he can stop them. The precog tells him about taking a spirit walk. As Hiro eats the food the precog serves him, the precog tells him what he needs to do to start his journey. All of a sudden, Hiro's eyes gloss over completely white and Hiro falls back knocked out. Ando yells at the precog for tricking Hiro. The precog says he warned him and he didn't choose his own path. Ando tries to revive Hiro as the episode ends.
