Save the Cheerleader..Uniform
Nothing's hotter than crime-fighting supergirl heroes. We've had Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Catwoman, Elektra & now Hayden as cheerleader/hero Claire Bennett from the hit NBC series "Heroes".
Now I've seen many a post, almost complaint, "how come Claire's always wearing the uniform?" or "how many cheer uniforms does she have?" or just "enough already", but I say leave it in tact, because it now is her trademark, her hero costume. And what red-blooded male dislikes cheerleaders?
It gives Claire that sexy crime fighting edge and a costume to identify her by like other superhero fems before her, such as Wonder Woman or Supergirl. It sets her apart from the other heroes, in that they all wear plain clothes, she has a costume. Matt Parkman as a cop is a costume, and we identify many cops as heroes already. Nathan in business suit, is almost Clark Kent like, but he doesn't rip out a big "N" uniform and fly off to save the day (obviously that would be corny). Claire is indestructible and the uniform is her symbol of power. Seeing her rescue a man from a burning train wreck in cheer uniform not only showed her heroic side, but also saved her life (as Jackie later claimed responsibility, and the uniforms look alike). Not only is Claire invincible to most accidents, burns, stabbings, murders, suicide attempts and attacks, but she is hotness and on the verge of 18.
So to the writers of Heroes, leave Claire in uniform. It gives her that edge over her foes and has come to be a costume we all identify with her, setting her apart from the rest of the characters. And the male Heroes demographic not attracted to her friend Zach appreciates it as well.
