Glimpse of the Future: Speculations

Another great episode of Heroes ended with what looks like we will see next week; a glimpse into the "darker" future for the heroes.

It's tough to call but the "Future Hiro" we saw in the apartment just might be Sylar? The way he said "You" seemed sinister, when I heard that line it made me think Sylar, and possibly he has managed to kill Candice and more heroes...

It also looks like from the previews and painting that Sylar kills Nathan to become president. Or he impersonates Nathan. That would definitely make for a dark future. It also looked like Peter was kicking some butt Neo/Matrix style in the future, that should definitely make for a cool show. He appeared to be in the Oval Office, or maybe the Pentagon? He also seems to have DL's power, at least.

The big question that really lingers, is will the explosion in New York actually be stopped? Heroes is part drama/part sci fi, and there's no reason to believe that they wouldn't create a futuristic world for the upcoming seasons. Of course the buildup has been for the Heroes to come together to save the world, so I doubt the writers/creators would let us all down.
