Time to Save the World!

This is what we've all been waiting for! The culmination of season 1 of the best new TV show on the planet, "Heroes". Here's some speculation and commentary:

1)We're due more of an epic battle between Peter & Sylar. Problem with that notion is, they both have the radiation thing going on, and that would probably nuke the city. I felt the second battle was definitely one of the more kick-ass scenes on the show, in Suresh' apartment, but coulda been so much more. My guess here is Peter and Sylar prepare to face off and Hiro comes in to save the day before Sylar can destroy Peter.

2)Most surprising to me on the "Landslide" episode was the untimely death of Linderman. Now its possible any Hero can make some sort of comeback, and Linderman's got the give life power, but after DL took a chunk out of his brain, its hard to imagine. Then again, with Hiro's time travel, who knows. Linderman seemed like that perfect "Lex Luger" type villain for the show. With Linderman gone, Thompson shot down, and a possible Sylar death at the hands of Hiro, it will be very interesting to see how that villainous void is filled.

3)I read somewhere that not everyone will make it to the next season. It's hard to determine who might bite the bullet on the finale. Peter (Milo) confirmed on Regis and Kelly he will be in season 2, beyond that, it's anyone's guess. The big questions is whether Sylar makes a return. Some sources say he turns good in season 2. This remains to be seen. Sylar might get to Candice, and make himself look like anyone else to fool the others.

4)Will the world blowup? Who will really save it? The dream vision Peter had, showed Nathan walking straight at whoever was the bomb. Whether it be Peter or Sylar, it's quite possible Nathan's destiny is to fly away with the bomb into the stratosphere, exploding with it. Besides, Peter has just about everyone's powers, so flight might not be so necessary for 1 person to have.

5)Expect to see Simone and her father reappear in this episode. Maybe it will be part of Peter and Nathan's mother's power. She may be able to talk to the dead, or contact them in a dream state.

It's going to be a great showdown and episode to conclude the first season and will probably make us only appreciate it that much more. It is also said that on this 2 hour finale, we will gain insight into what the upcoming season has in store for the Heroes. A strong guess might be some new villain or agency manages to kidnap Molly Walker, giving them the ability to track down Heroes..Heroes' season finale airs Monday Night on NBC, please check local listings for time.
