Season 1: Episode 15 - "Run!"

A recap of the latest episode of Heroes, which aired Monday 1.12.07 on NBC..

Ando and Hiro are entering a casino hotel in Vegas, on their quest to retrieve the real sword from Linderman. Along the way they are walking through a kitchen area of a restaurant and discussing destiny and hope. Ando notices a pretty blonde girl in medieval costume sobbing away. Ando goes up and asks if everything's ok. She tells him she doesn't want to bother them, then ends up bringing the two back to her dressing room to tell her story. She tells Ando her name is Hope and his eyes widen. She tells them that her boyfriend hit her and she left him, but that she left her purse behind in his hotel room and can't get it back now. Ando volunteers that he and Hiro will retrieve it. Hiro is reluctant, but Ando asks why whenever Hiro wants to do something its destiny, but when Ando does it's meaningless. Finally Hiro and Ando dress in room service uniforms and go up to the man's room. Ando pushes a cart into the room covered in cloth. The man tells Ando to leave, as he goes to the showers. Hiro, who is under the clothed cart, comes out and lets Ando back in the room. The two start to look for the purse, and find a large gun in the man's closet. Hiro leaves the room, but Ando stays in to look for the purse. Ando finds it under the man's bed as he leaves the shower. And hides under the bed with the purse. Hiro then goes back down to meet with the woman to tell her what's going on and overhears her talking about how she convinced two Chinese guys to go get her purse back. Hiro approaches her about it and she tries to lie about the call, then punches Hiro in the face to knock him out. She then locks Hiro in a back storage room. When Ando returns with the purse, he asks her where Hiro is and she said she introduced him to the people she knows how know Linderman and that Hiro left without him. She asks Ando to come on a trip with her and they leave together. Hiro locked in the storage room is pounding away at the door yelling for help. Eventually a man opens the door and he is the same man who had the purse up in his room. He shows Hiro a badge and says he's with the gaming commission.

Nathan has been contacted by Claire's real mother who informs him of meeting their real daughter. He asks why the timing of this news 2 weeks before his election. He asks Claire's real mother how much money she wants. She says $100,000 will be fine and they can meet. Meanwhile, Claire is back home and her adoptive mother doesn't remember the family dog, Mr Muggles, or even Claire and is acting strange. HRG comes up to Claire's room at one point to call out Claire on skipping school and using fake tickets printed from her computer to fool her mother about the aquarium trip. HRG tells Claire shes grounded for at least a week. Claire uses the classic line "you're not my real father". Claire also takes a trip out to meet with her real mother and tells her she wants to meet her real dad too, and she isnt leaving until she does. Claire's mom tells her that her father doesn't really care to meet her and just wants to pay them off. She takes a picture of Claire on her cell phone to show Claire's dad. Claire is disappointed but still hides out near her real mother's home. Nathan visits with the check and presents it to Claire's mom. Sarah, shows Nathan the picture of Claire on the phone. She tells Nathan she told their daughter that he didnt want to meet her. Nathan is hesitant when asked if that's ok, and that says she said the right thing. Claire is listening outside the window. As Nathan gets in his car to be driven away, Claire picks up a rock or baseball and tosses it at the back window. It hits the back window causing a large crack in it. Nathan tells the driver to continue on, thinking it was some kids.

Niki/Jessica has received a fed-ex envelope at home. She opens it to find out instructions from the big boss Linderman on a hit she has to make. The target happens to be Moskey, the same man who DL paid all the cash that was owed to Linderman to. Meanwhile, Moskey has hired a special bodyguard to transport him to make a deal for some diamonds. The bodyguard happens to be Matt Parkman, mind-reader/detective. Matt tries to make small talk but the man tells him to just drive and make sure he gets in and out of the building safely. As the get to the building Niki is waiting outside. While Matt is with Moskey who is making the diamond transaction upstairs, he overhears the man behind the counter thinking "Linderman's guy will be here to kill him soon". Matt tells Moskey they need to leave right away. Moskey throws the diamonds in a briefcase and dumps out the cash saying they have a deal. Matt and Moskey rush out of the room. As they get to the elevator, Matt hear's Niki/Jessica thinking in their about shooting Moskey. He tells Moskey "shes in there" , and draws his gun, aiming at the elevator. As the elevator opens, nobody is there. Niki gets out on another floor. Matt brings Moskey down the back stairway. Niki come out and begins to follow. Matt brings Moskey out on 1 floor but Matt overhears Niki and Jessica talking in the stairwell, so he believes there are 2 shooters involved. He gets Moskey away and eventually Matt opens the door into a stairwell behind Niki. Matt aims his gun at Niki and tells her to drop her weapon, so she drops it down the stair well. Matt cuffs Niki to the bannister. Matt then calls for backup and tries to get Moskey safe. He hears Moskey thinking about a spot to hide the diamonds at. Jessica/Niki is able to escape her cuffs and finds Matt and Moskey. She grabs Matt and tosses him out of the window, and then kills Moskey, leaving him bent in half.

Matt luckily lands on a large sign hanging right outside the window, he regains consciousness and gets back inside as backup has arrived. The main detective is bewildered by Matt's story and thinks hes gone crazy, talking about 2 women shooters and a super-strength woman. He thinks to himself that this guy is out of his mind and wants the opportunity to just get rid of him. Matt remembers where the diamonds are hidden. He goes back into the room and finds them up in a ceiling area. Matt is about to give the diamonds over to the detective but instead keeps them himself, so he won't appear crazy.

Meanwhile Mohinder has been attempting to contact names on "the list" but everyone hangs up on him when he explains his purpose. He finally receives a phone message from a man named Nathan Vale. Nathan explains he really needs to see him soon. At Nathan's home, there are puddles all over the floors. Nathan is sitting shaking on his couch as someone knocks at the door. It is villain, Sylar, who Nathan asks if he is Dr. Suresh. Sylar says he is and Nathan lets him in. Nathan proceeds to show Sylar his power and asks him to stand back as he puts a metal pot on the floor. Later, Mohinder shows up to the same home, but Sylar answers the door, pretending to be Nathan Vale. He lets Mohinder in and asks if he wants to see the power. Mohinder agrees, and Sylar places a toaster on the floor. Sylar places his hand over the toaster and melts it down to a puddle before Mohinder's eyes. All over the room are various objects melted down as well, including a phone. Mohinder asks Sylar for a DNA sample by taking a q-tip type tester and getting a swab from the inside of his cheek. Sylar brings it into the home's kitchen while Mohinder waits in the living room. Sylar places the tester into the mouth of dead Nathan Vale who is lying on the ground. He returns it to Mohinder and then they discuss how there are many more on the list out there. Sylar suggests that maybe he can help Mohinder by going with him to convince others who might be skeptical to listen to Mohinder. Sylar says he can show them his power. Mohinder agrees, not realizing what he's unleashing.

Finally, Niki is back home with Micah and DL. She receives a new Fed-Ex package with her next kill assignment. As she talks on the phone she says "yes I am familiar with this one", and we see a picture of Nathan Petrelli in Niki's hands.
