Season 1: Episode 12 - "Godsend"

The return episode of Heroes certainly did not disappoint. Here's a recap, not in chronological order so much, but more by characters:

Hiro and Ando are seen at a natural history museum in New York and they finally see the great Bushido style sword in a glass case on display. Hiro and Ando comment on a strange marking they see on the sword, which Ando states means Godsend. Hiro says he must have the sword because it will give him greater control over his power, according to destiny. Hiro tries twice to freeze time so he can take the sword. At first he fails and on the second attempt, he merely slows time down. Hiro says "good enough" and opens the display case, setting off alarms. He takes the sword and in the next scene is seen posing with it in front of a dinosaur exhibit (which matches with the painting Isaak had done). As Ando finds Hiro out on the streets, they remove the sword from its case and discover its not the real sword, it's a replica by none other than "Linderman".

Matt Parkman and his partner have the SWAT team infiltrate the Texas Paper Warehouse where Mr. Bennet has his operations, and Sylar. The SWAT team turns up nothing. Matt's partner and superior are furious. Matt comes face to face with HRG and attempts to mind read, but the Haitian is seen standing in the back. Matt is unable to read any thoughts. After Matt's superior give him and his partner a good dressing down, Matt pushes HRG up against some crates and says he wont stop until he finds out what HRG is doing with Sylar. HRG replies "Good luck with that".

Mohinder Suresh is back at the apartment in New York and discussing the list he has from his father with what seems to be an FBI agent. Mohinder explains the genetics angle to which the agent responds "right" in a skeptical manner. Mohinder said he tried to find a Sarah Ellis but had no luck. The FBI agent shows Mohinder a photo of Sarah Ellis, who is in fact Eden. Mohinder said he knew of her. Mohinder is shocked to hear that Eden has turned up dead in a lake. Later on, Mohinder receives a visit from HRG, with gun in hand. Mohinder asks if HRG is there to kill him. HRG says that he wants to work with Mohinder to find the names on the list and prevent them from causing problems. Mohinder refuses to work with HRG and says he doesn't trust him right now. HRG gives him a business card in case he changes his mind.

Meanwhile, Peter is in a coma in New York hospital. His mother and brother, Nathan visit with him. Simone also drops by. Nathan tells Simone he wanted to protect Peter from ever going to Texas so this wouldn't happen. Nathan explains his overall skepticism about all of the events Peter is claiming will happen, and the paintings. Simone then takes Nathan to visit with Isaak. They arrive at Isaaks apartment to see paintings around. Isaac then appears to Simone's surprise. Isaak tells her he was at a clinic in Texas and cleaned himself up. He says he can now paint without being high. Nathan is interested in one particular painting which shows the "exploding man". Just then Hiro and Ando show up at Isaak's apartment. Hiro says he found the sword but it is a replica by Linderman. Nathan then hears the name Linderman and sees Hiro, who he met out in the dessert. Hiro calls Nathan "flying man". They discuss the exploding man and how they have to stop him. Simone finally starts believing Isaak can paint the future and that Hiro can time-travel. Simone tells Hiro she can get him into Linderman's place since she deals him art and valuables.

Meanwhile in Texas Claire has not had her memory erased but is pretending to HRG that she doesn't remember the night Jackie was murdered by Sylar. Claire is later seen talking with the Haitian at a remote spot in a dessert area. Haitian says his "gift" will not allow him to give Zach his memory back. Claire expresses how alone she feels without any friends or Peter to talk to. Haitian says if Claire goes to Peter, he is being watched and HRG will know. Claire asks if Haitian knows her real parents. Haitian says the real parents who came to visit her actually work for HRG. Claire says she's been living a lie. She later convinces Zach to come back to the dessert area with her so she can show him the secret he forgot about. Claire climbs to the top of the same tower Zach videotaped her from before, and falls to the ground. Claire stands up and re-collects herself as her scars and bruises magically go away. Zach is amazed by this and the two begin to reconnect.

Niki/Jessica is in a prison setting. She has already broken a prison guard's nose, most likely in a violent rage as Jessica. She talks with her attorney who tells her she needs to start cooperating more. As they talk, Jessica and Niki emerge as once and the lawyer is convinced Niki must see a psych. Niki pleads with him to no avail. A man visits with DL, named Mousekey, most likely someone working for Linderman. DL gives him the suitcase full of money and asks for assurance that Linderman will stop bothering him and Micah and Niki. Mouseky says this is unlikely because they took something from Linderman and he will let him know when the debt must be collected upon. DL pounds his fist on the wall angrily.

Later, Micah and DL visit with Niki and speak to her behind glass through a phone. DL reaches his hand through the glass and holds Niki's hand. Micah says he wants his mother back. Niki senses his sadness and asks the guard to let her hug her son. The guard refuses several times. Niki becomes upset and Jessica comes out in her. As Jessica stands up, the guard tells her to back away and begins to wave his nightstick in the air. Niki/Jessica grabs the nightstick and snaps it in half. Then guards rush up on her and restrain her all together. Later, we see Niki in a straightjacket in a padded cell receiving an injection. As the lights in her cell dim, she is scared, saying "please help me". Jessica emerges and says "who needs help when you got me?"

Ted Sprague is seen "somewhere in the Nevada Dessert" in an abandoned shed. He is practicing the control of his radioactive emissions, with an excited look upon his face. He manages to emit radioactive bursts from each hand.

Finally, Nathan is having a dream/vision/nightmare in his coma. He sees the New York city scene again where he wakes on the ground and begins to see abandoned cars and the various heroes and characters such as Simone, Hiro, Claire, Mohinder, etc. He sees a new face to the side. An older man with a beard who appears to be laughing at him. Nathan comes out of his office building striding up to Peter. Nathan says he won't leave Peter or let anything bad happen.Just then Peter begins erupting in radioactive style energy in a burst. The faces and bodies of various people appear to evaporate/melt away as Peter explodes. Just then Peter awakes from his coma screaming. Peter leaves the hospital, and Nathan and his mother have no sign of him.

Peter is walking on the streets of New York talking on his cell phone saying he needs a quick flight to Nevada. Just then Peter notices the man he had seen in his latest vision. The man with the beard is stealing a wallet from a table. Amazingly nobody sees it happen but Peter. As the man walks off, Peter begins to follow and yells for him to stop. The man turns angrily and begins fighting with Peter against a lamp post. He asks Peter how he can see him because nobody can. A scene is shown with objects moving frantically next to a curb-side stand, with people confused as to whats happening. Peter has met an invisible man, who begins to choke him against a lamppost.
