5 Favorite Heroes Moments

With the 1st great season of "Heroes" now ended, I decided to look back at five scenes or moments from Season 1 I particularly enjoyed. I believe just about all of these scenes brought out some applause, so that would make them "Must See TV".

Check out my top 5 (in chrono order) with links to watch them:

1 ) Fight or Flight? Nathan Escapes - My first choice came when Mr. Bennet aka HRG and the Haitian had Nathan Petrelli tracked down. Both were armed with tranquilizer guns and ready to put the Super Senator to be down, but Nathan realized his special ability had its advantages. When cornered near a high stell/metal fence wall, Nathan suddenly bursts off straight up int the atmosphere. And then, like a rocket, we see a cloud of smoke s Nathan flies away.

2) Sylar vs. Peter: Round 1 -
This was definitely a moment we all wanted and were waiting for. The suspense leading up to this was so tense and amazing, that we needed this battle to happen. While it might have finished fast, it was still cool to see. Peter goes in to save the cheerleader. Sylar hurls locker doors down a hallway at him, but Peter absorbs a power and deflects them away, then runs off in fear. Sylar finds him atop some bleachers, and the two collide, then fall off the bleachers, splattering to the ground. Luckily, Claire's regeneration power was also absorbed by Peter. Sylar has some sort of invulnerability too, which would set up future encounters.

3) Sylar vs. Peter: Round 2 -
One of those scenes that makes you applaud is seeing master villain, Sylar trying to finger-buzzsaw into the skull of Peter Petrelli to see how he works, as a clock ticking sound is heard. As Peter finishes screaming with blood across his forehead, he regenerates the wound, then unleashes his telekinesis, and throws Sylar straight back into the wall. Sylar quickly gets up as Mohinder Suresh falls from the ceiling he was stuck to. Sylar and Peter face one another, and a fearful Peter turns himself invisible. But Sylar one ups him, using his evil powers to make glass shards hover up in the air. Sylar then tosses a group of shards in Peter's direction. We see one hit, then become covered in blood, and then Peter turns visible, falling to the ground, dead.

4) Futuristic Fight Hiro & Peter Storm Homeland - In "Five Years Gone" we see a glimpse of just how cool and powerful Hiro and Peter have become. In addition we see that when they team up, they are much more of a force to be reckoned with. In this scene, Hiro and Peter go to the Homeland security building to rescue another version of Hiro, from the past, who they need to send back in time to undo a whole buncha things. Peter and Hiro begin using time freezing, teleportation, super strength and wall phasing as they battle alot of armed guards. Hiro also displays some pretty kickass swordplay. Ultimately it leads up to battle #3, Peter vs Sylar in the future too.

Full episode found here at NBC.com, this scene occurs in Part 5 and continues to Part 6:

5) Hit Me With Your Best Shot: HRG - In the early part of the season we didn't know quite what to think of Mr. Bennet, Primatech paperman. Was this a good guy or bad guy? What was his intention with Claire, and why was he going after our favorite heroes? But then as we saw an insight into Mr. Bennet's family life and history, we learned he was on our side. He had to hatch a masterful plan to get himself and Claire away from his boss, Mr. Thompson. In this scene, Matt Parkman and HRG have just reached the office floor where the "Walker Tracking System" is being held. HRG's ex-boss, Thompson gets to Matt Parkman, and points a gun to his head. It seemed like Matt was about to "bite the bullet", until HRG comes up on Thompson, and with 2 solid blasts, drops his former boss. HRG has officially arrived as one badass ex-agent now helping heroes.

This is a link for Episode 22 of Heroes: "Landslide". The scene mentioned is in Part 5:

Sadly enough I did not include any scenes from the season finale, but honorable mention goes to Peter punching the heck out of Sylar after gaining Niki's superstrength.
