Season 3: Episode 315: "Trust and Blood"

Heroes opened with the scene we were left with in last episode. Claire and Peter began to take over the plane that was transporting hostages. The plane started to go down suddenly, with Peter hanging on for life as the back door bust open.

The scene shifts to 43 hours later with Nathan on the phone to an unknown individual saying the plane hit the ground and some prisoners escaped. Hiro is shown running for life as troops are firing shots all around. He falls off an embankment and then Suresh and Matt Parkman help him up to hide. Hiro yells that they have to go save the others. Parkman argues back that their powers just won't cut it against the soldiers after them. All of a sudden Matt goes into a trance and starts walking one way. Suresh grabs his shoulder and Matt turns to face them with his eyes glossed over. Suresh and Hiro decide to follow him.

Claire and Peter are running when all of a sudden HRG jumps out and grabs Claire. He aims a gun at Peter saying they both need to come with him. Claire asks why he's working with the other side. HRG says it's complicated. Peter then asks if he's going to shoot him in front of his daughter. HRG decides to lower the weapon. Claire tells him to run and HRG nods as Peter takes off. Claire then tells HRG that the crash is going to make people ask alot of questions. HRG tells her she's wrong, and just then two missile shots come blasting in and blow up the plane wreckage on the ground. Hiro, Suresh, Matt and Claire/HRG are all shown witnessing the explosion.

Nathan is shown talking on the phone again about how much of a nightmare the crash is, but also that agent Danko has been in his face. A flashback is shown to Nathan and Danko on the ground where the plane has been blown up. Nathan asks why they authorized an air strike, and Danko says they're terrorists. Danko remarks that Nathan's daughter turned this into what it is. The two exchange a glance saying to each other they'll do their jobs.

Peter is fleeing through woods and Tracy Strauss sees him. She yells to him and then says she can't do this, that her life was finally getting normal again. Peter urges her to come with him or Nathan wins. He tells Tracy if she comes with him they can fight, so Tracy goes along.

Hiro, Suresh and Matt hide behind a truck and see a trailer. Hiro says maybe the people inside can help. Suddenly, Matt sees a vision of the precog going into the trailer. With his eyes still glossed over, Matt goes over to the trailer and breaks open the door with and umbrella pole. Matt bursts back out of the trailer with a plastic container of crayons and some paper. He sits down at a nearby table and starts to draw. Meanwhile, Suresh and Hiro go over and grab some clothes that are hanging outside so they can disguise themselives. Hiro says he'll take their address and send money later.

Ando is in Tokyo on a phone call trying to get a flight to Russellville, Arkansas. He's having trouble getting one and suddenly Daphne comes speeding into the scene. Daphne tells Ando that Matt didn't come home last night or call. Ando said Hiro is missing too, and thinks he was taken to Arkansas due to the GPS coordinates. Ando says he's trying to get a flight there, but Daphne grabs him by the hand and they speed run instead.

As Hiro and Suresh have changed clothes, Hiro discusses losing his power and how now Ando has a power but doesn't know how to be a hero. Suresh suggests Hiro turn himself into the police since he has no ability now. Hiro says he's a warrior so he will stay to fight. Suresh says this isn't his battle anymore. They go after to where Matt has drawn several pictures and see one of Daphne getting shot near the plane crash site. Suresh remarks that can't be possible because she wasn't on the plane. Hiro sees another image of him in India in front of a blond woman in a gown. Matt says he has to go save Daphne and rushes off despite Suresh saying the men will kill him. Hiro decides to take off running and follow Matt, so Suresh follows the other two.

The scene shifts to Newark, New Jersey where officers arrive on the crime scene where Sylar was almost taken. A brunette woman gets out of a car with a teenager named Luke, possibly her son. She tells him if he keeps acting up, his future is with the police, then chastises him for hitting a kid recently. Luke finally admits he punched the kid for calling his mom a whore. As they enter their house they find the TV is on discussing the news of the plane crash in Arkansas. The woman suddenly sees a man seated in a chair watching the TV. She quietly tells Luke to call the police as she goes over and grabs a fire poker. As she faces the man it turns out it's the agent Sylar caught. He's restrained with tape on his mouth and screwdrivers from . Sylar then enters from the kitchen and says the woman is either Mary Campbell or current occupant. She tries to hit Sylar with the fire poker but he uses his telekinesis to throw it across the room, then makes both Mary and Luke sit down in chairs. Sylar rips the tape of Agent Simmons' mouth. Simmons asks if he's going to torture him in front of the woman and kid. Sylar responds that he's going to torture the woman and kid in front of Simmons to get info.

Ando and Daphne arrive at the scene in Arkansas and see Claire in an orange jumpsuit along with HRG. Daphne tells Ando that he kills Hiro in the future so he can't be dead and that means there's hope Matt is alive. Daphne tells Ando he's going to stay there and she rushes off. Meanwhile, Tracy hides behind a tree as one of the agent soldiers comes to the area to see another agent is down. He radios it back on his walkie talkie. Tracy causes a distraction and starts running through the woods. The soldier turns and points his rifle laser towards her direction but just then Peter jumps out and knocks the man out. Peter begins taking the agent's weapon and clothing telling Tracy he's going to go find and stop Nathan. She argues that Peter doesn't have all his powers, and he tells her for some reason he can only hold onto one power at a time, because when he gains one he loses one. Peter asks if Tracy has a better idea to stop Nathan. She pulls out a cell phone/PDA and says she knows the way Nathan thinks because she's the same way.

HRG brings Claire to a tent as she angrily asks why he's doing this. HRG tells her he made arrangements to guarantee the safety of Claire and their family. HRG says the mission is large scale and the people with abilities must be controlled. Claire says she's one of them too, then notices Nathan nearby and says "so is he". Nathan comes over and tells Claire she's going to go back to Costa Verde and pretend none of this happened. Claire angrily tells HRG and Nathan she doesn't even know who they are any more. HRG pulls Nathan aside and says he will continue to take orders and do what needs to be done but Nathan needs to put a leash on his "hunter" (Danko). Suddenly, Daphne rushes in and says hi to Claire then takes off with her. Nathan angrily tells HRG he wants Claire found. Nathan tells HRG daughter or not Claire is a liability. HRG says he won't allow anything to happen to her then asks Nathan what would happen if the hunter knew about his ability.

Present day is shown with Nathan on the phone call saying his mistake was he expected his people to act responsibily, but nobody could have anticipated what happened on the hill. We flash back to the crash wreckage scene again as Suresh and Matt arrive to the area. Matt says this is the spot from his drawing, but Suresh says there's men all over the place. Ando yells out to them from behind part of the plane nearby. He tells them that the speedster brought him. Just then Daphne and Claire rush over to another part of the plane with Ando. Daphne spots Matt and rushes over. Now with Claire, Ando, Hiro, Daphne and Matt reunited, Daphne says they have to move but she can't carry everyone with her. Suddenly as Daphne stands up, Matt yells out. A guard fires several shots and hits Daphne, then begins firing shots into Claire. Daphne hits the ground and Matt begins using his mental powers making one guard turn and fire at the others. The "hunter" Danko fires a shot into the guard Parkman's controlling. As everyone flees, Claire is left behind and Danko gets her.

Back in Newark, New Jersey, Sylar wakes up Agent Simmons by pressing on the screwdriver in the agent's hands. The woman, Mary Campbell asks Sylar why he's doing this to them. Sylar says no reason, he could have been a flood or tornado. Sylar then shuts up the mother and begins to choke/suffocate her. He says he senses the dysfunction in the home with the single mom and troubled teenager. Luke tells him to stop what he's doing to his mother and pleads that the agent isn't going to talk. Sylar asks the son if he really cares. Sylar then says he knows that Luke really just wants to see his mom's blood splattered all across the room. As Sylar begins to try to kill Mary, Luke yells "Go to Hell" and emits some sort of force from his palm which blasts into the coffee mug Sylar has and breaks it. Sylar realizes the boy has an ability, then says that he and Luke really need to talk.

Back at the crash site, Danko brings a restrained Claire into a tent chastising her for starting this whole wreck. Danko says he read Sylar's file and knows Claire is just like him. She retorts she's nothing like Sylar. Danko points a gun to the back of Claire's head but just then Nathan rushes in to stop it. HRG comes in to get Claire. Nathan says to take her away and that he'll bring her home. As HRG and Claire walk off, HRG tells her she needs to go home and try to live that normal life. He puts Claire in the passenger seat of a car and says he'll try to do what he can for the others. Danko asks Nathan how many more casualities he's going to allow. Nathan says he told Danko to stand down. Danko confronts him about the mission and says he better hopes this works out. Nathan tells Danko they're all replaceable, some more than others. Nathan gets a call on his cell and its Tracy. He puts the phone against his shirt and tells Danko to leave. Nathan gets back on the phone and tells Tracy she needs to give herself up now. Nathan tells Tracy she can't negotiate if she has nothing he wants. Tracy says she has Peter and will exchange for her normal life back. Nathan agrees and says she can trust him.

Sylar has Luke demonstrate his ability on a small action figure/statue. Luke focuses then points his palm at the statue and melts it down. He tells Sylar some stuff melts, some burns, and that he should see what it does around pacemakers. Sylar then confronts Luke for lying to his mother earlier about why he hit the kid. Luke asks why he cares and Sylar says its a strange coincidence that Luke lives right down from Sylar's dad. Luke tells Sylar he's a nobody and that he has no friends and sells drugs at school. Sylar realizes Luke is lying about the drug part. Sylar starts to manipulate Luke's mind saying that his mother can see what sort of monster he is. Mary exclaims that she loves him and Sylar says he knows thats a lie. Suddenly the agent is able to free himself from the screwdrivers in his hand. He pulls out his gun and turns to shoot at Sylar. Luke rushes in front of Sylar and blasts the guard with his ability, leaving him dead on the floor. Mary yells at her son that he killed the man and asks "What are you?" Sylar gets an evil grin on his face at the prospect of having a protege.

Sylar walks out of the house in NJ, but Luke follows him out saying he needs to go with Sylar. Sylar says Luke killed his chance at getting information, but Luke says he saved him from being shot. Luke says he can't stick around in this enviroment anymore and Sylar's the only one who understands why he is the way he is. Luke tells Sylar he'll take him to his father so he can find out why he is the way he is. Luke then produces the keys to his mother's car. Sylar swipes them out of his hand and the two walk off down the sidewalk.

Nathan arrives at the meeting spot where Tracy is with Peter. As the car pulls up, Peter tells Tracy if she needs to use her power to do so. Peter discusses them taking Nathan as a hostage to use as leverage against the government. He says that Nathan is no longer his brother or Tracy's boyfriend. Tracy walks over to Nathan at his car and he asks where Peter is. She says Peter will come out when he knows he has amnesty. Nathan then says Tracy must have known he'd figure this was a trap. Tracy prepares her hand to freeze Nathan if necessary. He says he came for Tracy and the offer still stands if she can bring him Peter. Nathan begins to try to manipulate Tracy saying that he and Tracy think alike but Peter's unstable mind will get everyone killed. Peter shows himself with a gun pointed right at Nathan. All of a sudden, red dots appear on Tracy and Peter. HRG tells the guard he'd take Peter as he focuses the red dot sight on Peter's head. Peter grabs Nathan and puts the gun to him. Danko yells for HRG to take the shot but HRG says he doesn't have it. Suddenly, Peter bursts off into the air with the flight ability, leaving Tracy behind. Nathan has the guards grab Tracy and take her away yelling. HRG walks up to Nathan who thanks him for not shooting Peter.

Nathan's shown on the phone call again saying he didn't want any of this but now Peter and the others are loose, and both sides have tasted blood. Nathan says the next move is theirs. Parkman, Suresh, Ando and Hiro convene with Peter who lands near them. He tells them all to toss their cell phones so they can't be tracked. They take a look at the drawings Matt did, with Suresh informing Peter that Matt has Isaac's gift. Hiro looks at the picture of him again, standing in front of a blonde woman in a red gown. A man is down on the ground in front of him with Hiro pointing his palm at the man. Suresh says he recognizes the area as New Dehli. Hiro says it is his destiny to be a hero and find this place so he can regain his powers. Matt is still angry over what happened to Daphne and says he wants revenge. Matt tells them they need to bring the fight to them with everything they've got. Peter says they need to do what it takes to survive, because the government has done everything to take their lives away. Peter says they need to be prepared for when they come for them.

Sylar and Luke are shown driving along the coastline with Sylar smiling over at his new protege. Claire is then shown sitting on her bed at home in Costa Verde, CA. Her mother comes in to ask why she's so quiet. Claire says she's tired from all the schools she checked out. Claire says shes considering staying near home and getting a part time job. Her mother says that would be great for her to be around the house still. As Sandra leaves, Claire gets a strange text message. The message is from Unknown but signed "Rebel". The text messager tell Claire that she needs to be prepared to fight.

Nathan's phone conversation is shown to be with his mother, Angela Petrelli. He tells her Claire is safely home and asks Angela to be on board with him to get Peter. Angela says Nathan pushed her aside so he could get the president's help, so she won't help, but he can use his team from the president. Angela hangs up as she's looking at a file folder with Danko's picture in it. An agent comes in and tells Nathan they're ready for him. Nathan walks down a long dark hall to a cell where a prisoner in orange has a hood over their head. The hood is pulled off and its revealed to be Tracy Strauss. She asks why he's doing this. Nathan tells her he's doing what's right and that the powers need to be controlled or they lead to disaster. Tracy says maybe that's what Nathan tells himself at night, but this is really all about Nathan's own agenda. Nathan tells her "try not to fight it" then has the guards subdue her with a nose patch of some sort. Tracy yells to Nathan "You're on of us" as the guards place the dark hood back over her head.
