Hayden's TV Guide Cover & Spoilers

NBC Heroes star Hayden Panettiere, who plays sexy cheerleader Claire Bennet, graces the cover of the latest issue of TV Guide, its 2009 Sci-Fi Preview issue. The 3rd season of NBC's Heroes, "Villains", comes to a mid-season close next week, with another volume starting up early in 2009. Inside the TV Guide issue, Hayden answers several questions fans may have regarding various characters and situations on the hit series (spoiler alert):

On Hayden Panettiere’s character, Claire: “One of her parents will die”

On Greg Grunberg’s character, Matt: “We are planning for Matt and [ex wife] Janice to meet again”

On traveling through time: “Time travel has become too much of a creative crutch. We wanted to flex some different muscles and take it off the table for a while to keep things fresh”

On Zachary Quinto’s character, Sylar: “He’ll be doing things we’ve never seen before. Awful and scary things.”

Speculation's already started that the parent who dies will be Meredith, and maybe at the hands of Flint or Sylar. Don't rule Nathan out of the picture either, as his character seems "up in the air" at the end of each season (bad pun). The question is who else will Sylar go after? Heroes next episode airs December 15th and it will serve as the mid-season finale. After that fans will be left waiting until February 2nd, 2009 for the next volume to begin.
