Season 1: Episode 10 - "6 Months Ago"

On episode 10 of Heroes the audience was teleported 6 months back into the past, along with Hiro, who had gone back to save Charlie the super-memory waitress. Hiro continuously tried to inform Charlie he is there to save her, but she refuses to believe him. Hiro was able to teleport and bring her flowers, serve one of her orders in a split second, and even manufacture 1000 origami doves. He finally presented Charlie with a ticket to go with him to Japan. Charlie told Hiro he made her feel so happy but that she doesn't let people get close. Charlie told Hiro she has a brain clot, close to an aneurysm and she was dying. Hiro was about to kiss Charlie at a bus stop, and then ended up teleporting himself again, to Japan. He realized he couldn't change the past and that his power is greater than he is.

We meet the grandaddy of the heroes research, Professor Suresh, who has a book about genetic mutations and a list of names of people he is researching. He meets Gabrielle Gray, 1st, unfortunately. Gray begins to talk about how he always wanted to be special and different than his family, but ended up a watchmaker like his father, and it bothers him. In talking to Professor Suresh, Gray proclaims he knows he's close to being special. Suresh says he wants to run some non-intrusive tests on him to detect abilities. Gray has an outburst in Suresh's office after a brainwave test, where Suresh says Gray is healthy and may not have powers. Gray, enraged throws a bunch of folders to the ground of other people who are "special". But in the process he takes a post it note of one individual with powers. Later on, this individual, Harris, comes to meet Gray and shows him his ability to move objects mentally (telekinesis). Gray introduces himself as Sylar, the brand of watch he is fixing. Harris tells Sylar he hates having this pain in his head and wants it gone. Sylar says Professor Suresh was right, there's a part of the brain controlling these things. He tells Harris he will help fix him, and smashes him over the back with a large crystal rock. Later on Sylar returns to Suresh's office and shows him his ability to do telekinesis. He tells the professor they will track down the individuals on the list together and help them realize their abilities. It is unclear how Sylar took over this ability.

We see Eden cross paths with Matt the cop when he pulls her over in Los Angeles. Matt sees she has been drinking, instructs her to exit her vehicle, but instead Eden uses mind control and tells Matt to get back in his car and go get donuts. Matt does so. As Matt leaves, we see the Haitian man standing before Eden's vehicle. Later, we see Eden held captive in Mr Bennet's office with the Haitian standing guard. Mr Bennet reads off a list of charges and says he knows that Eden is using her power for bad, not good. He says finally someone can say No to her. Eden tries to use mind control to tell Mr. Bennet to let her go, but it doesn't work.

Peter was throwing a party because he had just become a nurse. Nathan and his wife, as well as Peter & Nathan's mother were present. We hear a bit about how Nathan has been asked to prosecute Linderman for mob ties, but that Linderman is also Peter & Nathan's father's biggest client. We see Nathan driving with his wife after the party at night on the highway and a car chasing and ramming theirs. All of a sudden, Nathan levitates several hundred feet above the car, and the car crashes hard into a barrier. Peter awakes from a dream as this happens. Later, Peter and Nathan are at the hospital and its discovered that Nathan's wife is now going to be likely in a wheelchair. Peter tells Nathan he dreamed of the incident and asks about the other car. Later in the show, Peter is about to give a deposition to help Nathan put Linderman away. Nathan shows up at Peter's apartment and says their father is dead.

We see Niki at an AA meeting saying she's been sober for a year. We learn that she has alot of life issues she's dealing with that would cause her to drink. We meet her father ,who shows up at the meeting. Afterward he asks to be a part of Niki's life, so he can meet his grandson and son in law, DL. Niki seems vehement about this, over some obviously unresolved anger. We see Niki and DL at the grave site for her sister, Jessica, who died or was killed at age 11 Later in the show, Niki's father is visiting with them all at the home. He gives a laptop to Micah to use. He tells Niki and DL he will provide the $ for Micah to attend private school and gives them a check. He becomes enraged when he goes to Micah's room and finds the computer taken apart. Later still, Jessica (aka Niki) arrives at her fathers hotel room with an evil look in her eyes. She tells him she remembers what happened. She slams him against the cabinet/wall and starts choking him. She shoves him on the bed and tells her father to apologize to Jessica. She then tells him to disappear and shoves the check he gave her in his mouth.

We also meet Claire, who has just become a cheerleader, as Jackie presents her with her uniform. Claire and Jackie start messing around and Claire ends up striking her hand through a glass panel. Claire cuts her hand badly and is taken to the ER. Later on, her father and her are talking and he asks how her hand is. Claire says the pain's gone, and removes the bandage to reveal her hand is completely healed. Mr. Bennet realizes that his daughter has a genetic power/mutation as described to him by Mr. Suresh. Since he has Eden as a captive, she asks what he wants from her. He tells her he wants his daughter's name removed from Suresh's list.

The episode ends with a recap of the events that ended in the last episode, as well as Hiro returning to the diner, at the present day to see his friend Ando. He informs him he failed in his quest to save Charlie, and places an origami dove near her birthday picture...
