Hiro, I am Your Father..

While not as dramatic as the famous words of Star Wars, Hiro's father has been revealed to use prior to the new episodes. While the rumour/news has been in circulation for some time, the role of Hiro's father will be played by George Takei, of Star Trek fame. Takei played Hiraku Sulu on the original Star Trek episodes and Movies for many years and recently has been working as part of Howard Stern's radio show.

On the morning show on NBC this AM, Al Roker sat down with Takei who was on location filming in L.A. for the show. Takei discussed the success of "Heroes" and saying that Star Trek basically paved the way with its original, diverse sci-fi/fantasy show. Takei said Heroes has the same diversity and with the character "Hiro" one of the first main characters to speak in a foreign dialect on network TV.

Takei said he has been a part of the filming for 3 episodes so far. A scene was shown, off camera from filming of Takei walking with Hiro who had a sword strapped to his back. Although Hiro lost on his 1st attempt at the Golden Globe for his role on the show, it looks like Hiro gets that sword he needs and the show only gets cooler..
