Ali Larter on Regis & Kelly Show

Ali Larter who plays the dual role of "Niki/Jessica" on Heroes, appeared on the Regis and Kelly show this AM. Famous chef, Emeril Lagasse was filling in for Regis who was off for the day.

Ali mentioned she got one of her first gigs on this very show, Regis and Kathy Lee, doing a modeling/school fashion bit as a young girl on rollerblades. She mentioned that Regis said "oh what a cute kid" and made Ali gloat ear to ear. Also during the interview Ali said she loves playing this character because it gives her a chance to play a real woman finally in a leading role. She said the dual personality is tough to do sometimes and that she prefers acting as Niki because she doesn't always feel so tough and powerful and mean like the character of Jessica requires from her.

Warning: Possible spoiler** A scene was shown from an upcoming episode of Heroes with Jessica in prison, talking to Micah and D.L. via a phone behind glass. Micah was saying how he wants his mom out and she told Micah he needs to be strong. Sensing her son's frustration and sadness, Niki asks the guard to just let her out to give him a hug. The guard repeatedly refuses Niki's request, causing her to become enraged. Niki/Jessica stands up and walks toward the guard who begins waving his nightstick in the air. Niki grabs the night-stick and snaps it in half. A group of prison guards rush in to assist and push Niki against the wall to restrain her. Now that's gonna be another badass scene.

Niki also discussed her recent injury, where she was cooking tomatoes in the oven and went to get them out as the oven door came up and gave her a slight burn injury on her arm..Not too bad a scar, but maybe it will increase her character's tough edge.

Heroes resumes with an all new episode on January 22, 2007 at 9PM EST, NBC. Check local listings.
