The next installment of NBC's Heroes Volume 4, "Fugitives", is set to return the night after the Super Bowl, February 2nd, 2009 at it's regular time slot. An advertisement aired during last night's WWE Raw on USA, and ads have been seen on NBC as well. In the ad various quick shots were seen of Heroes in distress, or HRG telling someone to get in if they want to live (possibly Suresh). In conjunction with the Superbowl on Sunday, there will be an interesting commercial aired on NBC featuring the Heroes in a touch football game.

The Volume 4 plot will revolve around the Heroes following the explosions and fires that burned down Pinehearst and Primatech at the end of Volume 3 "Villains". Hiro who is now powerless will attempt to train Ando to be a superhero. Matt and Daphne will look to live a normal life as a couple. Suresh will return to his taxi driver job in NYC, while Peter Petrelli will be fully-powered, looking for action again.

There's also several sneak preview clips online of Episode 14 which will be entitled "Clear and Present Danger". The four new clips show Claire calling Peter to warn him of Nathan and Angela Petrelli's plans to take people with abilities in, Peter getting into a taxi cab driven by Suresh, Claire showing up at Matt Parkman's place where she finds out his new power, and Peter confronting Nathan about his plans.

NBC Heroes star Hayden Panettiere, who plays sexy cheerleader Claire Bennet, graces the cover of the latest issue of TV Guide, its 2009 Sci-Fi Preview issue. The 3rd season of NBC's Heroes, "Villains", comes to a mid-season close next week, with another volume starting up early in 2009. Inside the TV Guide issue, Hayden answers several questions fans may have regarding various characters and situations on the hit series (spoiler alert):

Speculation's already started that the parent who dies will be Meredith, and maybe at the hands of Flint or Sylar. Don't rule Nathan out of the picture either, as his character seems "up in the air" at the end of each season (bad pun). The question is who else will Sylar go after? Heroes next episode airs December 15th and it will serve as the mid-season finale. After that fans will be left waiting until February 2nd, 2009 for the next volume to begin.

He's back! Last we saw our beloved villain Sylar, he was slumped in an alleyway, but soon discovered his powers are back! Are you jonesin' for Season 3 as bad as I am? We all want a fresh start, a more badass Sylar, even more villains with powers and a Peter who is using his powers the way he should. The bad news: Season 3 won't be starting for a good while, until they've ended that nasty writers' strike and filmed about 10 episodes! The good news, there's a great sneak preview YouTube video going around with several teaser scenes from Season 3!

On the video we see Sylar back to being bad as can be, we see HRG talking about "it's like 12 Sylars running around" and much more! The video came from the recent "Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival" in Los Angeles.

TV Guide's latest Heroes preview reveals quite a few interesting tidbits about upcoming shows on the series.

- Kristen Bell is set to appear on the next few episodes as an operative for The Company named Elle. She describes herself as "like Claire gone bad" and says "Pain is amusing to Elle". Apparently she has a special power she uses for her own amusement and was mistreated as a child as her parents exploited her.

She's also a spoiled brat. "When she shows up in Ireland to locate Peter [Milo Ventimiglia], she does not succeed and that gets her pretty ticked. She takes out her aggres­sion on the locals."

- Heroes creator Tim Kring has said the picture we saw of "The 12 elder heroes" will come into play and we will be meeting characters from that picture on upcoming shows. According to Kring the picture was not easy to create either but is as accurate as possible.

- The Matt Parkman storyline holds more for us in terms of why he is not with his wife in Los Angeles and living in New York. We will see more about this on upcoming shows.

Most of the cast of Heroes will be touring in various cities around the world (Hong Kong, Tokyo, Paris) to promote Season 1 of Heroes and the DVD release. The 1st season has yet to premiere on network TV in several cities around the world (despite the fact people in these cities were able to watch pirated episodes online). The tour will be sponsored by Nissan. Amongst those touring: Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman), Santiago Cabrera (Isaac), Jack Coleman (Horn-Rimmed Glasses/Noah), Noah Gray-Cabey (Micah, what a lucky kid!), Ali Larter (Niki/Jessica), James Kyson Lee (Ando), Masi Oka (Hiro), Hayden Panettiere (Claire), Sendhil Ramamurthy (Mohinder), Zachary Quinto (Sylar), Adrian Pasdar (Nathan), and Milo Ventimiglia (Peter). Not every member will go to every tour city either. The DVD box set for Heroes Season 1 is set to be released on August 28th and includes 50 deleted scenes as well as the original uncut 73 minute first episode of Heroes.

- According to Greg Grunberg, he begins filming today. After realizing that he'd sort of let the cat out of the bag, he said "Well, I could be on a hospital bed ... or in a coffin." Hayden joked that the entire cast would be standing around, lowering him into the ground. So, it's a pretty safe bet that he'll survive those four bullets to the chest.

- Sylar is back as well, although c'mon ... did you doubt he would be?

- The end of season one, with Hiro in Japan wasn't really the ending ... it was a teaser of the first scene from the first episode of season two. Hiro will be in feudal Japan for "a handful of episodes," according to Kring

- Tim Kring envisions season two as consisting of three big story arcs.
Heroes: Origins is an "anthology show," which we knew. But it's not a midseason show; it will air after the season two finale, and not during sweeps. They have not yet begun writing or filming it.

- Adrian Pasdar was sporting a full beard, and Milo Ventimiglia had an extremely short haircut. When asked if they'd be in next season, Adrian said "I played ... er ... play Nathan Petrelli." So, hrm ... very clever. Still leaves us wondering

Episode 20 - "String Theory"

Summary: Hiro and Ando find themselves five years after the destruction of New York City. People with extraordinary abilities are labeled as terrorists and are being registered, hunted, and killed. Hiro and Ando meet up with darker versions of the other heroes in preparation for a showdown with the President. This includes a darker side of Matt, a Jessica/Niki with a clear winner in their battle, a brown-haired Claire, and a man named Andy, who's a big hearted Texan. It also features an event at an upscale gentleman's club.

Episode 21 - "The Hard Part"

Summary: We get to see the world that Hiro came from.


Episode 22 - "Landslide"

Summary: Angela Petrelli is forced to play a bigger role in Nathan, Peter, and Claire's life. The truth about the death of Nathan and Peter's father is finally revealed along with his true identity. Also, Sylar is eating another hero's brain.


Episode 23 - "How to Stop an Exploding Man"

Summary: In the two-hour season finale, we'll meet a Paris Hilton-like blonde woman in her late 20s, an Asian woman of the same age group, and a male model. Also, Audrey Hanson is set to return this episode. This episode also involves the apocalyptic arc.
