With Heroes Season 3 approaching us full speed next Monday, it's a great idea to reflect back on the Season that was. We can have a moment of silence similar to the one Hiro had for his father, or similar to the one Adam Monroe had after being buried six feet deep. It all depends on your perspective. Some consider the past Season to have been a huge flop, while others still saw the glimmer of hope for more great Heroes action and stories to come. Let's hope for a bright season 3 full of drama, action and surprises..

Now here's a look back at things to remember from last Season as we head into Season 3: Villains!

- Nathan Petrelli was about to reveal his hero status at a press conference until a mystery man in a hat fired a shot or two into his chest. He was laying motionless in Peter's arms and appeared dead as the season came to a close. Officer Matt Parkman was also on the scene but didn't hear anybody thinking about it.

- Prior to Nathan being shot, his mother Angela was on the phone with an unidentified person. It's unclear if she ordered a hit on her own son, but it was hinted at.

- Nikki/Jessica went into a burning building and rescued Monica who had been kidnapped. The building was shown engulfed in flames as Micah and Monica dove for cover. Nikki wasn't shown afterwards and it was possible she died.

- Claire fell in love with West, a young male with the power of flight just like Nathan's. Their relationship was rocky towards the end, with West flying away. It's unclear if they will be back together or broken apart in Season 3.

- We met Elle (Kristen Bell) last season, a trouble female who could electrocute people. She ended up helping the heroes towards the end, aiding Suresh and Maya, and went looking for Sylar.

- Peter Petrelli had the most "action" during Season 2, as he came back from amnesia, fell in love in Ireland, helped thugs in Ireland, was captured by The Company, escaped the Company, went back to the future, met Adam Monroe (Takezo Kenzei), had a brief battle with Hiro, and in effect, "Saved the World" from a deadly virus being unleashed. Whew!

- Hiro went back in time during Season 2 to meet Takezo Kenzei, whom he thought was his hero. Hiro ended up taking on the role of Kenzei, learning swordplay, saving a princess and fighting Kenzei in a burning fire. They seemed buddy-buddy, up until a feud over the princess. Takezo went on to become a villain and had the power to live through terrible injuries, similar to Claire Bennet. He took revenge on Hiro, murdering his father, and enlisted the help of others to track down and kill founding members of the company. At the end of Season 2, Hiro confronted Adam and eventually teleported him down into a deep grave, where he rests, still alive.

- Dr. Suresh joined "The Company" where he tried to help cure the heroes of genetic diseases. Suresh ultimately had to shoot HRG who had betrayed the Company in order to save his daughter Claire. Later, it was shown that Suresh rescued and possibly revived HRG from the seemingly fatal gunshot to his eye.

- Let's not forgot Maya, Alejandro, Monica and Micah, although they may be forgotten as Season 3 rolls through. Maya is the girl who unleashes her own deadly plague that kills people when she gets upset. Her brother was her calming force, with the ability to bring back those victims to life. However, they met up with and "befriended" Sylar, who ended up killing Alejandro and seducing Maya to bring him to see Suresh.

- Micah went to stay with his grandmother and cousin, Monica. We didn't see any power used by the grandmother, but it's possible she has one. Monica was learning her power to mimic actions she saw, mostly on TV's or iPods. She met with Dr. Suresh and Bob of The Company who tried to work with her to cure her. She ended up trying to use her heroic abilities to save a comic book that some thugs stole from Micah. Monica was rescued from her kidnappers and a burning building by super-strong Jessica.

- Most importantly, the ultimate in anti-heros, the main villain Gabriel Gray aka "Sylar" seems to have regained his powers after an injection from Dr. Suresh. Recall that Sylar ate a brain last season, the brain of Candice who was able to morph herself into various people, and change scenery. This could be really bad for the heroes, but it's unclear if Sylar truly acquired the power...yet.

That's a lot to digest, but hopefully brings people up to speed. I may have forgotten a few important tidibits, so feel free to leave those in the comments for other fans.. While checking out the official Heroes website the other day, I noticed a teaser for "Primatech's Security feeds". The link takes you straight to the Primatech site, where they now have mock security video feeds on display. They doesn't seem to hold any groundbreaking info or secrets from what I've seen so far, but you never know what clues might be hidden there.

Currently the Video Surveillance Manager for the site allows you to click on the various cameras and dates for surveillance feeds. There's zoom and other controls as well. One still frame shows Sylar in the lab with Suresh, from when they were preparing Sylar's cure. This was of course the same feed that Elle noticed while she was on duty at the Company. Another feed shows the plain hallways of Primatech. Clicking on a still frame will show a streaming video feed. Nothing too exciting, and no sound involved, but still worth seeing. I'm willing to bet there is something hidden in there, or there will be. If anyone catches anything or knows of any hidden "Easter egg" type things there, let me know.

With Heroes Season 2 finale, we saw 2 of the Heroes supposedly "bite the bullet". Nathan was the more literal death as he was shot twice by an unknown assailant from the back of a press conference crowd. This came right before Nathan was going to shock the world, and expose the fact he couldd fly and that there were many other people with powers like him living amongst the population.

Niki/Jessica was the other presumed death. She was rescuing Monica Dawson from a burning building, held up a fallen wood post so Monica could escape, and presumably Niki didn't escape. The building blew up and young Micah, the son of Niki was left devastated. A true death or just a suspenseful cliff hanger for Season 3? They didn't show her escape, which is often the greatest trick in comic books and even soap operas.

In comic books, these things happen every other issue. Superman, Batman, Spiderman, X-Men have all died, many times. The heroes are shot, blown up, drowned, evaporated, and we are to think they are gone for good. But never fear, they return, again, and again, and yet again. It's part of the fun. Even if the original artist or writers truly kill them off, someone else picks up the series and re-creates it. Fans would be disappointed if their hero really were to be eliminated.

Evidence that Niki and Nathan may not be gone for good comes in the form of the "blood cure". We saw it used on Nathan via Takezo Kensei aka Adam Monroe. Nathan survived a deadly nuclear blast at the hands of his brother way up in the atmosphere. He was badly burnt up to a crisp, but still alive. Adam's blood restored his health, when added to his mix at the hospital.

Further evidence comes from Mr. Noah Bennet (HRG) and Maya. Each were presumably down for the count, after being shot. But a dose of Claire's blood injected into their blood streams saved the day. What's to say this cure can't save the latest 2 to go down? Of course, these are also real life actors. The parts could be played by others, or they really could be gone from the show to pursue new acting gigs in movies or TV. Additionally, Peter comes into contact with you, he's got your power, so you may be less needed. But remember, in the superhero world, deaths are usually temporary and a means of suspense until the next exciting episode or issue.

As you can imagine Heroes news is slow now that the show is done with Season 2. The reviews of the finale were less than stellar, but things still look promising for Season 3. Unfortunately there was bad news for another new show.

NBC has pulled the plug on another sci-fi hero type show, "Journeyman". The show was a modern day "Quantum Leap" which had the slot right after "Heroes" on Monday nights. Despite the 10 PM time slot, it was unable to pull in a decent audience to sustain itself. It seemed as if NBC was really trying to capitalize on the whole superhero style of show, with Bionic Woman as well. The show "Chuck" which came right before Heroes was able to stay alive.

2Snaps.com has a write up on the new novel "Saving Charlie". This book will feature the story of the relationship that Hiro Nakamura and Charlie (the super memory waitress) shared. If you recall Hiro teleported back in time during season 1 to try to save her. Unfortunately she died from a blood clot in here brain. The book arrives December 26th. Read more here.

Chapter 11, the state of bankruptcy. Did our beloved Heroes show achieve that on its Season 2 "grand finale"? It was a short season and we can definitely blame the writer's strike for it, but we've come to expect a lot more from this show. In many instances it felt like they were dumbing it down for us, and that's disappointing.

I was expecting great stuff in the finale and the first 10 minutes or so were very riveting. I particularly liked the scenes with Peter, Hiro and Adam. When Hiro and Peter faced off. Or when Peter and Adam were storming down the Primatech corridor determined and wiping out guard after guard ala the Matrix, that's some classic Heroes. We need more of that on each episode. So what don't we need on Heroes?

- Nathan's flying was used just once all season and it was used as some sort of comedy routine where he flies Matt Parkman to Primatech like it's a new airline. Nathan's been shot now, so we will have to wait to see if the Petrelli airline is still available for charter flights. I don't think West can carry the weight of Parkman at this point.

- Sylar being this underused and abused. Sylar is the ultimate kick ass villain. He barely kicked any this season and his powers were non-existent. We know why, he was injected by the Company with the virus. But who was responsible? This possibly plays into Season 3 "Villains", but it seemed like a ploy to not spend money on special effects and showcase Sylars badass side.

- Love stories thrown at us. Yes they exist in comic books and the real world, but we had 3 or 4 of them going at once. These are real people with extraordinary abilities but I find too many love stories can water down the show. In conjunction with this, how many times do we need to hear Claire say she wants a normal life and HRG to beg the family to understand he is protecting them?

- Monica/Micah/Niki had no bearing on the season's story. They crossed paths with the Company but really added nothing extraordinary to the plot. Are Micah and Monica going to be a new crime fighting tag team or just being preserved as new brains for Sylar to eat? They don't have any beef with the Company, any knowledge of Sylar or Adam and their story could have made for a spinoff show, Saint Joan. Coolest thing is Monica uses an iPod to watch new things to mimic, and Micah can fix it if the battery dies.

- The dumb down factor. Some things were really thrown into the mix that made no sense or were done too quickly (due to writer's strike). HRG dead and gone then back to life is a great example of this. Elle's transformation from super-spy for the company to the ultimate hero is another. HRG going back to work for the Company again. Not sure how this will play out, but it seems slightly annoying. One moment he is trying to take them down and shooting his former mentor. Then Suresh and he are at odds, Suresh shoots him then saves him. Now they are partners?

- The deaths were also rather dumbed down. Super strong Niki dies in a fire, so we are led to believe. Nathan goes through an entire season after surviving the nuclear blast of his brother, then is shot twice. DL made a short appearance on the show so we could see how he survived the gunshot from a mob boss, then dies from a hostile club shooting. Of course we can all pretend we didn't see Maya saved by that blood mixture after she was shot dead by Sylar.

-We continue to see the Heroes unable to kill off adversaries too. They left it open for Adam Monroe to easily return for "Villains" as he is simply buried alive. The heroes need to learn to "go for the head". Hiro sparing his arch-nemesis who had such evil intentions makes very little sense.

These points may seem ultra-critical, but we have seen many flashes of great stuff on the show from Season 1 and in Season 2 as well. The intention here isn't to tear the show apart, in fact it is to illustrate what a short season and a lack of good writing can do. Maybe it's good the writers are on break, they may need to refresh. It will be very interesting to see exactly who the villains are next season. Sylar's one, Adam could be another. Then there's whoever shot Nathan, and the Petrelli mother. When she said "Pandoras Box" is open, it most likely means there will be a heroes vs. Company plot line coming at us, and it just may offer us a spectacular season 3.

So how did you enjoy or not enjoy the Season 2 finale? Any predictions for Season 3?

NBC Heroes Season 2 is called "Generations" and originally aired episode 1 on September 24, 2007 on NBC. The season was shorter than planned, with only 11 episodes out of an originally planned 24 episodes, due to the WGA strike. The second season covered The Company and its founders as well as the heros attempting to stop the release of a deadly virus known as the Shanti virus. Season 2 saw Hiro time travel back to ancient Japan to meet and help a hero from childhood storybooks, Takezo Kenzei, a famous Samurai warrior. In Season 2 the audience also met several new characters including the father daughter pair of Elle and Bob Bishop, Micah's cousin Monica Dawson and a brother/sister duo named Alejandro & Maya Herrera.

Claire, HRG, Bob, Elle

Claire and her mother discuss the loss of HRG. Claire says she needs to go public with the info about The Company and save her family from harm. Meanwhile Bob tells Elle she is benched from field assignments due to her provoking Claire. Elle is visibly upset and begs to stay on. She goes to talk to HRG in his cell and ask what her "dad" and the Company did to her as a child. HRG tells her they tested her power to see how much wattage she could generate as a child. HRG says at age 7 her father told them to keep testing her to go farther and she'd pass out from it. Just then Bob shows up, and Elle leaves. Bob tells HRG that Claire is a problem and she needs to be prevented from going public.

West shows up and tells Claire not to leave town. Claire says they need to show everyone what they can do so people can listen to them. West says if they go public everything will be gone. West says exposing them won't bring HRG back. Claire gives West his file and tells him to leave. Right after West has flown away, HRG enters through the front door and startles Claire as if she was seeing a ghost.

HRG tells his family that he had to make a deal to go back with the Company to protect them all. He tells Claire not to go forth with her plans to expose the Company. HRG walks out the front door where Bob is waiting and tells him "it's done".

Micah, Niki, Monica

A visibly shaken Micah arrives home to tell his mom about how Monica was taken captive. Micah asks Niki to come help him save Monica. Niki says due to her virus she doesn't have use of her power. Niki and Micah drive to find Monica.

A young gang member who had kidnapped Monica begins to pour gasoline all over a basement where she is tied up. He says she's going to be burned in a fire for trying to interfere with them. Meanwhile as Niki drives, Micah uses his electronics powers to get cell phone GPS location for Monica.

Micah and Niki arrive to the destination just as the young man has lit the comic book on fire and the building. Micah notices him get into the van and start driving off, but Niki pulls her car into his path. Niki gets out and the man is angrily yelling at her. She draws a gun and hits him with it. She asks him where Monica is but he won't answer so she knocks him out. Niki rushes to the building to save Monica. The two are escaping but just then a large wood pillar falls into their path. Niki grabs a rag to hold the post up and tells Monica to run for it. Monica escapes but Niki is stuck in the burning building. Monica gets out and sees Micah and the two run off just as the building blows up. Micah screams "Mom!" realizing Niki didn't return.

Suresh, Sylar, Maya & Molly

Suresh finds Sylar in his apartment with Molly and Maya. Maya prepares breakfast and tells Suresh she has so many questions for him. Maya tells Suresh about her sickness that poisons everyone around her. Sylar said the Shanti virus has taken his powers and Suresh grabs a knife. Sylar pulls a gun on Suresh and tells Maya to stay calm. Suresh tells Sylar there are different strains of the virus and Sylar says he realizes that when mixed with Claire's blood it will cure him. Maya becomes upset at Sylar and everyone starts to fall ill. Sylar tells Maya to control her power and she spares Suresh, Sylar and Molly. Suresh takes Sylar to his lab to help him.

Sylar takes Suresh, Molly and Maya to the laboratory. Sylar realizes this is where he killed Isaac Mendez. Suresh tells Sylar he needs a blood sample to determine what strain of the virus he has. Sylar begins to talk about the murder of Suresh's father and Suresh realizes they are being taped by a Company security cam. Elle who is in her father's office notices the security feed and sees Sylar. She leaves the office to make her father proud.

While Maya is with Molly, she tells her of her brother Alejandro. Molly says she can find where her brother is and Molly gives her a picture. Molly tries to locate him several times then says "he's not anywhere" indicating he's dead. Maya becomes very upset and goes to confront Sylar over it. Suresh realizes that Sylar was injected by The Company with the virus. Just then Maya comes out and screams at him for killing her brother. Suresh shoots Maya and she falls to the floor dead. Sylar with the gun on Suresh says to use the blood cure to bring Maya back to life first as proof it works.

Suresh injects Maya with the cure and awaits its results. Just then Sylar is preparing to shoot Suresh from behind, but Elle shows up. She yells at Sylar and he shoots in her direction causing her to fall. Elle gets up and begins casting lightning at Sylar. One bolt blasts him in the back but he is able to escape. Elle goes after him and then comes back to say how she failed to catch him. Maya has come back to life. Suresh tells Elle she saved them all.

Peter, Adam & Hiro

Peter and Adam have just entered the warehouse area of Primatech. All of a sudden everything and everyone are frozen except Peter. Hiro shows up and tells Peter he is there to avenge the murder of his father committed by Adam. Hiro teleports to try to strike Adam with the blade, but Peter uses telekinesis to freeze him. They discuss the past and future which involved Adam and the virus. Peter says he is going to help Adam stop it. Hiro teleports behind Peter and puts his sword to his neck, but Peter grabs it and shocks Hiro causing him to fall to the ground. Time is unfrozen and Adam recognizes Hiro. He takes Hiro's sword and Peter and Adam go to find the virus.

Adam and Peter wipe out Primatech security guards en route to the safe where the virus is kept. Peter confronts Adam about murdering Hiro's father and Adam admits to it. Adam works Peter again telling him he needs to open the safe with his powers to save the world and the woman (Kaitlyn) who he loves. Peter eventually begins to use all his might to work on opening the huge safe door.

Nathan, Angela, Matt, Hiro, Peter & Adam

Angela is meeting with Nathan and Matt. Matt reveals that Adam murdered Victoria Pratt recently. Angela reveals that Adam is seeking revenge on those who betrayed him. Matt and Nathan reveal that Peter is still alive and working with Adam. Angela tells them 30 years a group formed to "change the world" but Adam defied their goals for his own purposes. Angela says Adam decided he wanted to wipe out the world with an unstoppable virus. Angela tells them to go to Primatech in Odessa, Texas to stop Peter and Adam. She speaks to Matt mentally and tells him if they can't stop Peter they will have to shoot him with a bullet through his head.

Matt and Nathan fly to Primatech, literally with Nathan carrying Matt on his back. As they go to enter Matt tells Nathan what Angela said about killing Peter. Nathan says he will handle Peter and just then Hiro shows up outside, excited to see Nathan.

Peter finally opens the door and just then Hiro teleports in front of Adam. Adam goes to slice Hiro with his blade but Peter tosses Hiro to the wall out of the way. Adam tells Peter to take care of Hiro and he begins to choke him up against the wall. Just then Matt steps into the corridor and begins to use his mental suggestion to tell Peter that Adam is the one to go after. Peter refuses to believe it and uses telekinesis to toss Matt down the hall. Peter tells Matt he's on the wrong side. Just then, Nathan steps into the hall and talks to Peter about how Adam has manipulated him. Hiro teleports himself into the safe and confronts Adam. He tells Adam he should kill him for the murder of his father.

Adam has his blade to Hiro's throat as Hiro touches him and teleports them both out. Unfortunately, Adam was holding a vile of the virus and lets it fall before he is teleported away. Peter rushes into the safe and is able to use telekinesis to stop the falling vile of the virus in mid air. Nathan and Matt rush in and Peter takes the vile in hand using his powers to destroy it. Matt, Peter and Nathan discuss having a press conference. Nathan tells Matt he needs to use his power to make everyone listen to him.

Hiro shows up back at his workplace in Japan to see Ando. He tells Ando he went to avenge his father's death and has put the murderer in a place he will never escape. Just then Adam is shown buried alive at the same grave site as Hiro's father.

Meanwhile, Nathan holds a press conference after telling Peter he shouldn't let guilt eat him up inside. Nathan talks about all he lost but how it humbled him and he saw the world differently due to that. Nathan speaks of those with extraordinary abilities and the organizations aiming to stop them. Nathan is about to reveal his power to everyone at the press conference, but ust then two gun shots blast into Nathan's chest and he falls down dead. Peter clutches his brother in vain as Matt looks to the back of the crowd to see a man walking away. Angela Petrelli is seen on a cell phone and tells the caller she knows it needed to be done, but they should realize they've opened Pandora's box now.

We see the end of Chapter 2, and the start of Chapter 3 "Villains". Sylar is seated against a wall in an alley way where he starts to heal from the blood injection. He sees a can across from him and raises his hand, then uses telekinesis to bring the can to his hand. Sylar exclaims "I'm back" as the show comes to a close.

Wow, the season finale should offer up quite a bit. According to the preview for next week, "2 will fall", which may mean 2 heroes are gonna bite the bullet. It would seem like someone in the whole Niki/Monica situation is one of them. You'd have to guess Micah is going to ask his mom to go save the day and rescue Monica. You have a gang heavily armed with guns and neither Monica nor Niki can regenerate, so possibly someone there is being slain.

The other death is tough to figure out. Didn't see Hiro in the preview really or Maya. Does Sylar get cured and kill Maya? Does he kill Suresh? The preview showed Sylar against a wall with blood on him. That usually indicates a murder but you never know. The preview indicated a "villain will rise". For villains we have Adam Monroe, Sylar, Elle, and Matt Parkman's dad. Smart money is on Sylar, because I'm going to guess Hiro avenges his dad's death.

It'd be tough to see Claire, Hiro or Peter being one of the deaths. HRG too for that matter, as those are probably some of the more popular characters. In the preview, HRG is shown with his family and says he made a deal to protect them. Does he return to The Company? West could be killed by Elle setting up some sort of major feud for the next go round between Claire and herself.

It seems this season blew right by and lacked that same dramatic intensity of Season 1 (due to its shorter run time). A good example is HRG being shot and supposedly killed, then waking up alive and healed all within 10 minutes. In a longer season we may have been lead to believe he was dead for at least an episode. Also, Sylar was way underused on the show, making it as if there was no real villain this season.

In terms of Maya it would seem she was just a vehicle for Sylar to get his powers back, but maybe she is part of the whole Shanti virus situation. Don't know why, but this seems like it's connected since she unleashes some sort of plague that kills people. Maybe she has the Shanti virus in her, in a different strain. This is just a thought and cold be way off base, but it's a way to connect her to the whole plot.

Hopefully the battle between Peter and Hiro will not let us down and displays some cool swordplay and powers being used. The Heroes finale arrives next Monday at 9PM EST on NBC.

Peter & Adam

Peter has a vision of himself in the future in New York City where he sees himself and Kaitlyn being taken away by the virus decontamination team. He wakes from it and is in Adam's presence, then tells him about losing Kaitlyn in the future. Adam mentions The Company worked named Victoria Pratt, a biological engineer, who recovered the virus from Shanti in 1977. Adam tells Peter the woman tried to turn the virus into a weapon and unleash it. Adam shows Peter a picture of the Company founders and tells him they are responsible for the future virus outbreak. Peter tells Adam they need to find Victoria Pratt and make her tell them everything.

Peter and Adam arrived at Victoria Pratt's home and Peter goes in to talk to her. Peter finds her gardening and tells her about the Shanti virus and how it kills 93% of the population in a year. Victoria pulls a rifle on Peter as he claims she created a virus that kills millions. Victoria orders Peter to go inside her home at gunpoint. Peter tells Victoria about losing Kaitlyn in the future. Peter asks where to find the virus so he can save her. Victoria mentions mutated strain of the virus #138 and said if released it would kill everyone. Peter goes out to meet Adam so they can leave and tells him Victoria said the virus is in New Mexico at the company facility. Adam says there's no facilities there and just then he gets blasted by Victoria's rifle. She turns the rifle on Peter and says he's working with Adam so she shoots him. She goes to shoot Adam in the head and Peter intervenes to knock her out.

Peter and Adam bring Victoria into her home and tie her up. Victoria tells Peter she was responsible for stopping Adam from unleashing the virus. She asks Adam if he killed Kaito and now plans to kill her. Peter demands Victoria tell her where the virus is and is able to hear her thoughts of Primatech Paper Company in Texas. Adam unties Victoria so she can be free and she grabs her rifle to point it at Peter. Adam pulls his gun and shoots Victoria dead telling Peter she was about to shoot his head off.

Claire, Bob, Elle, HRG

Bob is staring at a gun held by Mrs. Bennet as he brings the ashes of HRG in an urn to the family. He says he is honoring Noah's wishes and they will leave Claire alone to live her life. Bob apologizes for their loss before leaving. Mrs. Bennet tells Claire and her brother they are leaving town. Bob gets into a car with Elle telling her to keep an eye on Claire. Elle has a sling on from her gun shot. Bob tells Elle to accept responsibility for messing up and to regain his trust. Elle promises to watch Claire.

West goes to see Claire and asks her if she's leaving town. Claire says everything happening now hurts more than any of the injuries shes sustained. Claire tells West about The Haitian and his ability to erase people's memories. Claire pulls out the windchimes and West tells her she doesn't want to forget her father.

HRG is shown laying on an operating style table as his eye magically heals thanks to Claire's blood. HRG wakes up and Suresh is there telling him he saved him with Claire's blood. Suresh said he had no choice but to shoot him and his family is at home grieving. Suresh says he will use Claire's blood to save an innocent woman from a deadly virus. Suresh says The Company saves lives and HRG tells Suresh the Company has been making the virus for 30 years now and he can't trust them.

Suresh talks to Bob about the virus cure from Claire's blood. Suresh talks about Strain 138 and how it could wipe out all of civilization. Bob tells Suresh the Company is vigilant and Suresh says it doesn't seem it if he could operate as a spy for as long as he did. Suresh asks Bob to help him hunt down every strain of the virus and destroy them. Suresh then calls Niki to tell her he has the cure and says he will bring it to New Orleans.

Claire tosses the ashes of her father out into the ocean/beachfront area and apologizes for not listening to him more as her family looks on. Claire's mother says for Claire to tell West goodbye so they can head to Salt Lake. Claire spots Elle in a nearby vehicle and goes to confront her. Claire tells Elle she will tell the world what they did by kidnapping her and killing her father. Elle says nobody will believe her and Claire says she will show everyone exactly what they can do. Claire says once the secret is out Elle and the Company will be the ones running.

Niki, Monica & Micah

Micah discusses a $600 comic book with his cousin and Monica. Niki shows up in New Orleans to surprise Micah. Niki tells Micah that she has a virus, but that Dr. Suresh is working on a cure for it. Niki promises Micah a normal life. Micah tells Niki he has the medal of honor that DL won for saving a girl from the fire. Micah goes to get it from his backup and discovers his backup was taken.

Micah's cousin admits to getting jacked for Micah's backpack with the comics when he took them to find their value. Micah gets angry and attacks him, and Niki pulls Micah off him. Nana says she will call the police and Micah says they need to be heroes and get the backpack back. Niki tells Micah that being a hero is what got DL killed. Micah looks at Monica who looks determined.

Monica and Micah sneak out of the home late at night to go recover his backpack. Monica is dressed just like the comic book hero Micah talked about, Saint Joan. She watches a video of a girl scaling up a home to break in and Micha shuts down the street light. Monica gets into the home and finds the medal and backpack but just then a gang shows up in 2 cars. They go into the home and Monica tries to keep herself up on the ceiling similar to a ninja. Monica accidentally drops a comic book and the gang pulls their guns on her on the stairs. The gang members bring Monica outside and toss her into a van, then drive off. Micah takes off running.

Sylar, Maya & Alejandro

Gabriel aka Sylar wines and dines Maya in Virginia, en route to visit Dr. Suresh. Sylar talks about Maya letting her brother go and learning to control her own power. Sylar talks about Maya killing Alejandro's wife and begins to make her upset. Sylar tells Maya her brother hates her for it and she starts to unleash the plague causing Sylar to crash to the ground dying. Sylar tells Maya she is killing him and Maya is able to stop herself from unleashing it fully. Sylar and Maya hug as she learns she can control the power.

Maya goes to tell Alejandro about her ability to control her power now. Alejandro shows his sister news about how Sylar murdered his own mother. Sylar enters the hotel room and asks if Maya told Alejandro her news. Maya confronts Sylar over the murder news. Sylar tells Maya his mother didn't understand his aiblities and called him a monster. Sylar claims his mother tried to kill him and he was defending himself. Maya falls for it and Alejandro yells at her to not trust him. Maya tells her brother that Gabriel understands what she is going through and they will go see Dr. Suresh, but without Alejandro. Maya claims she intentionally killed Alejandro's bride. Alejandro storms out and Sylar comforts Maya.

Alejandro goes to confront Sylar over what he's made Maya believe. As the two fight, Sylar knocks Alejandro to the ground and grabs a blade to stab Alejandro. Sylar kills him just as Maya knocks on the door. Sylar goes out to see her half naked pretending he was in the shower. Maya tells Sylar they will leave Alejandro behind and go find Suresh. Maya claims Sylar has helped her and the two embrace as the dead body of Alejandro is shown.

Suresh is heading in a taxi with the virus cure when he gets a call from Sylar. Sylar tells Suresh he's at the apartment watching Molly. Sylar says he has someone with him that needs Suresh's help and he should get there soon.

Hiro & Ando

Hiro and Ando discuss how Kensei was the killer of Hiro's dad. They look at various files and Primatech info to find out what he has been up to. Hiro finds a 1977 photo of his father with Kensei, but on back Kensei is listed as Adam Monroe. Ando remembers seeing a paper about Adam, and Hiro discovers his father locked up Adam back in 1977, so he time travels to Primatech at that date. Hiro oversees Adam being taken away at the orders of his father who says Adam betrayed the Company. Adam had tried to unleash the virus to wipe out the population. Kaito talks to Victoria Pratt who tells him to shut down the program and he claims things will be safe. Kaito refuses to destroy the virus and Victoria quits due to this.

Ando teleports beack to see Ando and tells him about the virus at Primatech in Texas. Hiro says he must go to stop Adam from releasing the virus. Ando says Adam is invincible but Hiro grabs his sword and teleports away to Primatech.

Adam and Peter enter Primatech and are walking to find the virus when all of a sudden everything freezes but Peter. Hiro says he is there to avenge Adam killing his father. Peter says he can't let Hiro hurt him. The show ends with Hiro drawing his sword and charging at Peter who begins to generate electricity from his hand as they prepare to do battle.

Heroes Episode 10 "Truth & Consequences" looks to feature some great Hero vs Hero battles, including Hiro vs. Peter, Elle vs. Claire, Alejandro vs. Sylar and Micah vs. his cousin. Ok the last one isn't so much of a hero battle, but you'll catch a glimpse of it in the Canadian trailer below.

The Hiro vs. Peter battle should prove interesting, but does anyone besides Sylar really stand a chance against Peter? Yes Hiro can use a sword, teleport and stop time, but so can Peter. We already saw Sylar come out of Hiro's frozen time trap, but that may have been due to Hiro's inability to control his power then.

The latest episode of Heroes, "Cautionary Tales" brought forth several revelations. One of which a lot of fans had already speculated. Takezo Kensei, aka Adam is the hooded killer who took out Hiro's dad. It makes sense as he has the grudge to bear with Hiro over the whole "back in time" princess love story. Hiro found out the shocking truth and had to let fate be.

Matt Parkman started to really flex his mental powers and has basically the same abilities that Eden had. Wonder how far he will go with these new powers. He's already got inside his boss' head and Angela Petrelli's. Will he try his tricks on other heroes? Will he woo a supermodel to be his girlfriend? He might just be one of the more powerful heroes so he should really avoid Sylar. This also ups the ante of what Peter is capable of.

Hiro finally has better control of his abilities too and seems to be really developing the attitude of a true warrior. It will be interesting to see what he does with his new skills and attitude. I'm guessing some swordplay comes into the picture in the next few episodes.

We seem to be on a collision course of some sort with Parkman trying to find Adam Monroe and stop his quest to kill the elders. Peter is working with Adam. Adam killed Hiro's dad. Nathan is looking for his lost brother Peter. So something's gotta give. Most likely Adam will tell Peter that Parkman and Hiro are working for The Company and spark some sort of mini-heroes feud.

Also, I found it interesting that Claire's blood was used to heal/save HRG. The questions that raises are: Was he dead? Does he have a power, or does the blood heal anyone back from injuries? It's a valuable bit of blood if that's the case, and probably something Sylar wants his hands on. Best bet for who saved HRG is Suresh or Elle. Suresh may have realized the ability of the blood to save people and shot HRG knowing this. Or Elle was swayed by HRG's discussion of her father and The Company not giving her a normal life. The worst case scenario is that Bob and The Company took HRG in.

Just 2 episodes to go and it's going to be interesting! The big questions are going to be what happens with Sylar, Maya, Alejandro, Monica, Micah and Niki in the final 2 shows? Sylar's been very scarce this season, and may be scarcer as he has Star Trek coming up in which he plays Spock. Monica and Micah haven't had too much of a role in the overall scheme of this season either, but figure to play some part. I'd hate to think Monica is just part of the show to give Peter a new ability, but that could be the case.

Update: Although many are saying no hero died on the episode, in actuality you could count Kaito's death as the "hero death" of the show. The wool may have been pulled over our eyes with that one.

HRG, Claire, West, Suresh

Heroes opens with the Bennets packing up their things to go on the run. Claire comes downstairs in her new cheer uniform and HRG tells her they have to go. The two engage in an argument over leaving and Claire says she hates HRG for the things he's done such as abducting West. HRG grabs a roll of duck tape to tie up Claire but Mrs. Bennet intervenes telling HRG to stop and for Claire to go to school and say bye to her friends then come home. HRG shows his wife the paintings including his death and the shooter. He tells his wife to trust him and he will find West. HRG calls Suresh and asks him to have Molly track down West. Suresh reveals this info to Bob and Elle and they tell him HRG is dangerous. Suresh suggests they give HRG a false location to lure him.

Bob and Suresh are in Costa Verde to apprehend Claire and "take out" HRG. Bob introduces Suresh to Elle as his new partner and she displays her ability to shoot lightning.

West flies in to talk to Claire about her father and her being a "spy". Claire tells West it's a coincidence that her dad was the one who tried to abduct him and that she didn't tell him because she was scared. West refuses to trust her and flies off, revealing that Claire has spelled out "SORRY" with rocks placed on the ground.

HRG leaves to go to Claire's school to find West and get his help, but as he walks out the door, West flies into him snatching HRG up. West flies him up into the air and asks for answers about Claire. HRG tells West that Claire lied about not having a boyfriend so he must be important. As the two land on the ground, HRG gets up and pushes West down telling him he must convince Claire leaving town is the right thing to do. Suresh calls HRG and gives him a fake location for where West is. Since HRG is with West, he convinces West to come help him.

Bob shows up at Claire's cheerleader practice and convinces her he's from the Board of Ed, then calls her by her last name, causing Claire to take off running. Suresh meets up with HRG and gets in his car. regional sales manager of Primatech paper.

HRG and Suresh arrive where Elle is and HRG indiciates he knows her. As she's walking towards Mr. Bennet with her electric charge, West flies into her full speed causing her to hit a car. Suresh aims his gun at HRG but HRG subdues him, turning a gun on Suresh instead. As he is about to shoot Suresh, West asks Mr. Bennet what he's doing and causes HRG to stop. HRG and West take Elle away as a collateral captive. HRG handcuffs Elle to a chair, hoses her down with water and puts her feet in a bucket of water so her electrical powers shock her if she tries to use them. HRG talks to Elle about how she was brought into the Company as a child. HRG tells Elle he has kept Claire away from the Company because of how they operate. Bob takes blood from Claire and she pleads with him not to harm her father, HRG.

HRG sets up an exchange to give Elle back to Bob in exchange for Claire. The two walk past each other and give a look. Once Claire is safe, West takes her and starts to fly off. Elle shoots a lightning bolt up at them and the two crash to the ground in a heap. HRG then shoots Elle in the shoulder. HRG then heads over to Bob with his gun aimed. HRG says if he shoots Bob, the Company will disappear with him. Before he can shoot, Suresh blasts HRG with a gunshot to the eye, right through his glasses as the painting pictured. HRG falls to the ground and West holds Claire back then flies her out of harm's way. Claire is teribly upset later as she informs her mother of the bad news. West stays with them to comfort Claire.

Parkman, Molly, Angela Petrelli

Matt Parkman is back at the apartment with Molly Walker. She sees the photo of the Heroes elders and asks about it, Matt says he won't ask her to locate anyone from it again. Matt discovers he has the power of suggestion as he convinces Molly not to look at the photo and to walk back to the table to eat her cereal. Parkman continues to try to research the elder organization and Kaito's death. Parkman's boss tells him to stop working on the case because Angela Petrelli confessed. Parkman uses his power of suggestion to convince his boss to give him 24 hours to talk to Angela Petrelli further.

Parkman goes to talk to Angela Petrelli and she says she knows about his father's ability. Matt uses his power to suggest Angela answer all of his questions. She tells him about Adam Monroe who is 400 years old and seeking revenge. Parkman asks Angela to reveal the name of a woman in the elders photo but she refuses to and says Parkman is just like his father.

Hiro, Ando, Kaito

Hiro attends the funeral for his father in Japan along with his sister and Ando. Hiro is called to deliver the eulogy but leaves the front and goes to stand alone. Ando goes to ask Hiro if he's ok and Hiro says he must go back in time to prevent the murder. Hiro teleports to one week ago on the pigeon stoop in New York. Hiro oversees the conversation between Kaito and Angela Petrelli about them being targets with Kaito suggesting Angela leave town. Hiro rushes over to talk to his father telling him he has returned from the time of Takezo Kensei in Japan. Hiro warns his father of impending death, but his father says that this must be his fate. He takes his father to the site of his funeral where they find Hiro as a young boy with a sword saying he is "Takezo Kensei". The funeral is for his mother and Hiro reveals to the boy his father will die, but to learn from him and his lessons. He tells the boy some things Takezo Kensei just can't change.

Hiro brings his father back to the loft rooftop area where his murder takes place. Hiro is able to stop time during the attack on his father, and notices as the two men are suspended in mid-air, the face of his father's attacker is Takezo Kensei (Adam). Hiro is shocked by this and can't believe Kensei has survived all this time. Hiro delivers a Eulogy at the end of the show for his father's funeral talking of how some things are in God's hands and others God have given us a choice. Hiro says his father gave him these tools to face the battles ahead. Scenes are shown of Suresh holding his gun and looking upset, and Claire being comforted by West.

At the end of the episode we see HRG on a table of some sort with an IV dripping blood into his arm. His eye that had been shot starts to regenerate, and all of a sudden HRG gasps and sits up on the table. HRG then sees he's in a small enclosed room as the show ends.

These are the 3 final episodes for Season 2 of Heroes. BuddyTV.com offers a more descriptive look at each, which do include spoilers. It appears there will be a death coming up, a kidnapping or two, an attempt to save the world and a big showdown among heroes.

My best guesses based on the previews are that Peter is the one who killed off Hiro's dad, Kaito. This will set up a major Hero vs Hero showdown at the end of the season. For the hero who dies, smart money is on HRG, Claire or West. I doubt they'd get rid of Claire who's easily one of the most popular characters so far.

It's gonna get good for the last three episodes!

Heroes Season 2, Episode 8 had some great scenes with superpowers and special effects and gave us insight into how we got to Season 2's events. Kirsten Bell's character became extremely villainous yet sexy, and we got a cool trip down memory lane to show what happened when Peter went nuclear. As usual it's time to poke a few holes in the show. Again, I'm a fan of this show, but even creator Tim Kring has admitted it has flaws. Here's some things to mull over:

- How did Takezo get to the present day? Teleportation or immortal life? No aging is really shown on him, especially if he was alive back in the time of Samurai Warriors. It is possible that Claire, Peter and Adam don't show signs of aging due to their regenerative powers.

- How does Adam/Takezo know of Peter's powers? They were in captivity together but did he really get the full list? Or did he overhear someone say "Peter is an empath and can take on powers"?

- Does the Haitian's memory block work to block out powers of people nearby that he focuses on? That's my guess because Elle was able to shoot lightning at Peter while Peter was "powerless" it seemed. Recall last season when he was in the same police precinct or station as Matt Parkman and Parkman couldn't listen to mind thoughts from Claire or HRG in the interrogation room.

- Sylar's disappearance from the "fight scene" at the end of Season 1 was not shown, although it was a "teaser" in the preview last week. Best guess is Candice was able to work some magic and pull him down into the sewers, but it would have been nice to see the background of who saved Sylar. Candice seemed to be working for someone due to the cell phone call she made.

- The second shooting of DL was a bit "thrown into the mix" just to kill him off. A little more creativity might have been used here. For example, why not one of Linderman's ex-workers extracting some revenge for the murder of his boss? The firefighting use of his powers was a good inclusion.

- Despite the continued talk of the Petrelli father committing suicide because he was delusional, it's hard to buy on a show like this. Biggest question would be what are/were his powers?

- Also, it's understandable about the need to show how clever and covert "Company" agents are, but having them instantly appear in the very hospital that Peter rushed Nathan to, was just a bit much. The locating device to find heroes is Molly Walker, who they most likely didn't have access to at that time. The question would be how did they locate Peter and Nathan so fast, as they indicated they were tracking both. And how did they manage to be in the very hall that Peter was sneaking down?

- Finally, while I'm far from a science major, it seems tough to explain how Elle's lightning blasts are enough to knock Peter Petrelli out, but his own self-charged radioactive blast wasn't. Very intriguing, maybe Elle is one of the most powerful superheroes in all of the land.

There's probably going to be a few showdowns. Possibly Peter vs Sylar part 4, Hiro vs Adam and maybe Elle vs one of the female heroes. Peter is by far the coolest of the heroes, but how cool would it be if there was a female version? Looking forward to next week, as we have just 3 or 4 episodes left in this season.

Season 2: Episode 8: "Four Months Ago"

This episode recap takes us back four months to what happened right after Peter went nuclear and was flown out of proximity of the city by his brother Nathan. Peter recalls memories thanks to the help of Adam (Takezo Kensei) who meets him in Montreal, present day.

Peter, Adam, Elle

Peter is in Montreal and upset that Caitlyn is no longer around. He concentrates and time travels to present day where he hears a noise. Peter shoots a lightning bolt towards the door, and a hand absorbs the shot then regenerates. In walks Takezo Kensei, who introduces himself as Adam. He realizes that The Haitian has taken away Peter's memory of powers. Kensei tells Peter to think of what matters the most to him. He looks at the picture of him and his brother and all of a sudden remembers the vivid scene where Nathan flew him away before Peter could explode in the city. Peter tells Nathan to drop him and as Peter flew away and burst into an explosion, Nathan began to fall unconscious to the ground. Peter flies back and saves his brother who was falling. Peter rushes Nathan into a hospital to get treatment. A cop eyes Peter and Peter uses invisibility to elude him. As Peter is walking through the hallways of the hospital, all of a sudden Elle steps out and blasts Peter from behind with a lightning shot. Bob and Elle step out from the room.

Bob and Elle later have Peter in an office, where Elle is treating Peter as if he's her "boytoy". Bob introduces himself as an old friend of Peter's parents and says they have people taking care of Nathan. Bob says that Peter is safe with them but not sure that Nathan is safe from harm. Bob tells Peter that his associate has taken Peter's memory of powers away, and the Haitian steps into the room. Bob tells Peter he won't have to worry about hurting anyone ever again because they are working to bring a medical cure together for his problems. Elle continues to flirt with Peter as he is kept captive in a cell at the Company. Peter is given daily pills to prevent his powers from returning. On an early instance, Elle leaves him but runs her hand on his head and "shocks him", then tells Peter he will get used to it. As Elle leaves, Peter hears someone from a nearby room say "hello" and Takezo Kensei (Adam) is shown in the nearby cell.

Kensei talks to Peter from the nearby cell about discovering abilities and having gone through something terrible. Peter finally introduces himself and Kensei introduces himself as Adam. Later on, Peter asks Elle what her story is beyond the "sadistic lightning". Elle talks of her troubled past due to her powers. She tells Peter she accidentally set her grandmother's home on fire when she was young and was taken in for analysis and study, drugged up. Elle said she was diagnosed as a sociopath based on her powers and has spent most of her life in this place. Elle said she is now 24 years old and has never been on a date. Adam convinces Peter that there is "no cure" really and Bob is not going to help him. Adam tells Peter he's in a prison, not a place to help him.

Peter begs Bob to let him see his family so they know he's alive, but Bob refuses for the time being. Adam continues to manipulate Peter, talking to him through the wall. Adam says a bit of his blood would cure Nathan. Peter decides to help Adam escape, and works on Elle next time she enters his cell, by kissing her and pretending he's interested in her. Peter pretends to take the pills, but when Elle leaves he drops them in the toilet. Adam tells Peter since it's day #5 without meds, it's time to try his powers out. Peter concentrates and phases through the wall into Adam's cell so they are finally face to face. Adam says its time to heal Nathan, and the two phase through the prison wall to start their escape.

Nathan & Angela Petrelli, Peter, Adam

Nathan is visited by his mother at the hospital. Nathan is badly burned and visibly so. He keeps asking where Peter is, and Angela tells him he is missing. Nathan's wife visits him in the hospital and comes out to talk to Angela. Angela convinces his wife that there's a dark secret in the family with delusions which started with the father and has passed down to Peter and Nathan. Angela asks Peter's wife to keep this a secret and assures that she will.

Adam and Peter show up at the hospital room of Nathan. Adam takes a sample of his blood and injects it into Nathan's IV bag. ALmost instantly, Nathan's burned up body begins to heal up. Peter and Adam take off on the run and wind up on the docks in Ireland. Bob, Elle and the Haitian show up and chase them. Elle casts a bolt at Peter and his jacket is engulfed on fire, so Peter takes off running minus the jacket. Eventually, the Haitain catches him and is able to subdue Peter inside a large metal container. Haitian cuffs one of Peter's hands up. Peter says if he brings him back, he will just keep escaping. Haitian says he isn't bringing him back, because Peter's mother did a favor for him once and saved him. Haitian says Peter's secret is safe with him. He places a necklace around Peter's neck with the Heroes helix on it, and then wipes out Peter's memory before locking Peter in the container.

Niki, Micah & DL

Niki and Micah are at the hospital being told that the bullet just barely missed DL's heart and surgery was successful to save him. Niki and Miah go in to embrace DL. A doctor pulls Niki aside out in the hall and tells her that her insurance has all been payed for. Bob from "The Company" comes out and introduces himself saying he payed the bills. Bob talks about Linderman and Jessica, and Niki asks how he knew that. Bob says he wants to help her with her "sickness" but she needs to leave her family to enter "the program". Micah's birthday is shown and Micah talks about fixing their problems so they can be "heroes". Instead DL tells him he's got a job and is going to make him proud. Niki struggles with being on new medication, and DL tells her things will get better. After DL and Micah leave, Niki pours her pills down the sink.

Niki is practicing at home to work as a car salesperson. DL embraces her before leaving. Just then a new image appears talking to Niki in the mirror, saying she's not Jessica but another personality. The new "evil personality" from Niki's past traps Niki as an image in the mirror and leaves her there with Niki banging on the mirror to get out.

A house engulfed in flames is shown with firefighters trying to put it out. DL Hawkins emerges from the flames dressed in firefighting gear, phasing through them carrying a small child. DL is later considered a hero and shown on the news. Micah hugs DL and is proud of him. DL asks where Niki is and Micah says not home from work yet. DL then discovers a note written in lipstick on the bedroom mirror "Gone to LA, See ya".

Niki as her new personality is shown dancing flirtatiously with a guy at a club in LA. DL enters the club ands goes over to Niki. DL shows her a picture of them together and tells the other guy Niki is his wife. The man dancing with Niki tries to punch DL and his hand goes through DL's head. DL punches the man in the gut, and tries to take Niki out of the club. As they are leaving, the man comes out after them and yells at DL. DL turns and the man sticks a gun into DL, then shoots him. Blood sprays over Niki's face as the man leaves. Next, a grieving Micah is dressed in a black suit looking at a medal of honor. Micah's cousin and Nana are shown at the grieving scene. Niki tells the Nana she may need help. Next thing seen is people leaving the home and Bob shows up.

Maya & Alejandro

A wedding between Alejandro and a girl is shown, with Maya disapprovingly looking on. Maya is in tears as she leaves the wedding party area. She goes to a back area and finds the bride is kissing another man. Maya screams at the woman calling her names. The man tells Maya she's going to keep her mouth shut. Maya becomes upset and the black tears ooze from her eyes, causing the man and the bride to both fall to the floor dead. Maya screams for Alejandro and leaves the room to see that everyone outside has died too. Maya finds Alejandro still alive and tells him what happened. A victim is shown with black oozing tears.

Maya is praying in church when Alejandro finds her. He asks how she killed everyone and Maya says she has something wrong with her like a poison inside. Maya tells Alejandro he didn't die so it must have something to do with both of them. Just then a police officer enters to take Maya way. As he cuffs her, Maya becomes upset. Her eyes ooze black tears, and she kills the officer. Alejandro grabs her by the hands and tells her to calm down, and she begins to heal the plague from her eyes. Alejandro and Maya take off on the run as they realize the damage they are causing.

The show ends with a montage of "present day" scenes. Sylar is traveling with Maya and Alejandro on their way to New York. Niki/Jessica is shown meeting with Bob of "The Company". Nathan is entering a bar with no visible burns. Peter is in Montreal and with Adam. Peter tells him "I remember everything" and Adam remarks "Good, ready to save the world?". Peter smirks as the show ends.

This Monday night's episode of Heroes is one which should start answering a lot of questions fans may have had. For example, what happened after the Bomb? How did Peter get chained up in that container? How did DL die? What happened to Sylar after he was stabbed by Hiro's Samurai Sword? And of course the big question, what will Adam (Takezo Kensei's) involvement be in all of this?

It looks like a great episode this Monday night, and full of all sorts of great revelations. From the looks of the preview, Elle may have had a bit of an affair with Peter. It also appears like the Haitian became involved in the situation and maybe he's the reason Peter has lost his memory. Stay tuned...You can check out a preview video here at YouTube.

Many Heroes faithful fans have been disappointed in the quality of Season 2. It seems lacking at many points and a bit forced with the storytelling as compared to Season 1. There's been several new characters thrown into the mix, at least 3 love stories going on, a case of amnesia and at times even a "dumbed down" feel compared to last season. The show is set to potentially end Season 2 as of December 3, thanks to the recent writers' strike in Hollywood.

EW Online has a recent candid conversation with Heroes creator Tim Kring in which he discusses why Season 2 was a wash. Kring discusses the new additions to the cast, the love stories, and Hiro being back in Japan for such a long part of the season. Here's a bit from it:

"Yet while Heroes has finally found some dramatic traction, this second volume is pretty much a wash. The Dec. 3 episode has been retooled to function as a potential season finale — a move inspired by the writers' strike and a desire to give the show ''a clean slate'' when it goes back into production for Volume 3. At that point, Kring wants to craft a rebooted Heroes that can attract new fans and win back those who've tuned out: ''The message is that we've heard the complaints — and we're doing something about it.''"

It's great to see the guy at the helm of a hit show actually admit to the show's flaws like this. From the sounds of it, we can expect great things from Season 3, whenever it may start. Full EW.com article here.

Season 2: Episode 7: "Out of Time"

Hiro & Kensei

Kensei has Hiro captured and doped up. Kensei tells Hiro he is going to change the future now. The princess begs for Hiro's release. Later the Princess is able to free herself from being tied up. She runs over to help Hiro who's been drugged with Opium. She urges him to use his power and Hiro groggily teleports himself, the princess and her father out of captivity. Hiro goes to burn down the storage area housing the guns Kensei drops by and Hiro tells Kensei he needs to change history and they can still stop it together. Kensei is still upset at what Hiro did with the princess, so the two end up engaging in a sword fight. During the fight, they knock a lantern down, causing a fire. Kensei falls to the ground and Hiro offers to save him, but Kensei refuses and vows that "Hiro will suffer". Hiro teleports out of the tent as it goes up in flames.

Hiro finds the princess and informs her that he killed Kensei, despite destroying the guns and defeating White Beard. The Princess tells Hiro that it was Kensei's fault and that Hiro is Takezo Kensei as far as she is concerned. Princess asks Hiro to stay with her now but Hiro said there is one last trial where he must cut out his own heart to save the Princess from a dragon. Hiro says it is time for him to return to present time, and the princess says she will continue to tell his story so that Hiro will have stories to be told as a boy. Hiro returns to see Ando at the office and the two rejoice saying they have a lot to catch up on. Ando informs Hiro that his father was murdered.

Suresh, Matt, Molly, Bob

HRG calls Suresh to ask about him having a gun, as seen in painting #7. Suresh says he has no idea about a gun, and HRG says the painting shows him holding a "Company gun". Suresh asks HRG if he thinks he's expendable and says he doesn't know what HRG"s agenda is now. Just then Nikie comes in and Suresh ends the call. HRG burns all the paintings in Russia. Parkman and Nathan show up at the Company headquarters to show Bob the pic of his face marked for death with the red helix symbol. Bob talks about how Matt's father "Maurey" is coming to kill him. Bob asks Suresh and Niki to inject the virus into Maurey. Niki says she will use her power, but Bob says Maurey (Matt's father) could turn their worlds inside out using nightmares. Bob asks Matt to use his power to stop his father as he can use it beyond mind reading and get inside his father's head. Matt agrees then goes to see Molly Walker who's still in a coma and being monitored by The Company. Matt begins to use his thoughts to go inside Molly's head and talk to Molly. Her heart rate seems to respond positively as Matt tells her he loves her.

Suresh, Niki, Nathan, Bob, Matt

Maurey shows up at the Company to go after Bob. Suresh teams up with Niki as she is being haunted by a false illusion of DL, which is being generated by Maurey (Matt's father). Meanwhile, Bob tells Nathan about Adam Monroe, a guy who convinced The Company he could help them out. Bob says that Adam began using his powers as if he was "God" and took in Maurey and Linderman as his "disciples" to do his work. Bob says they had Adam locked up until 2 weeks ago when he escaped. Bob then reveals to Nathan that Peter is in fact still alive but that The Company lost track of him from Cork, Ireland.

Suresh realizes that Niki is talking to someone (DL), as Maurey continues to work his mind tricks. He makes Niki see DL being shot by Bob. Niki becomes upset, then punches Suresh and grabs a syringe to go after Bob. Niki begins to break down the door to get to Nathan and Bob. She comes at Bob accusing him of killing DL. Nathan pleads with Niki not to go after Bob because she's experiencing nightmares. Niki is unable to stop her nightmares and ends up stabbing herself in the arm with the Virus syringe because she doesn't know how to stop herself.

Meanwhile Matt is able to use his mental abilities to go into his father's apartment, where he finds Molly Walker. Matt is able to bring his father into the vision as well and asks his dad to turn himself in. Matt tries to leave the apartment with Molly Walker and his father uses his abilities to prevent them. Matt chastises his dad for leaving him and eventually he weakens him to the point Matt can get out with Molly. Back in the Company's monitoring room, Matt is sitting next to Molly's bed and sees his father layed out on the ground. Molly wakes up from her coma. Suresh with a broken nose then goes to save Niki by using his blood as the antibodies. He realizes that his blood isn't a cure and Niki has another strain of the virus, that he can't cure. Bob and Suresh discuss how the virus can't be cured. Bob shows Suresh a file of Claire Bennet saying she can regenerate and may be the key to curing the virus. Bob also tells Suresh that Mr. Bennet may be dangerous and provides him a gun, saying Bennet's mentor was recently shot in Russia. Suresh comes clean with Bob about how he was working with Bennet to bring down the company. Suresh decides to help bring in Claire to save Niki and takes the gun.

HRG, West & Claire

Claire wakes up to find that West is at her house and has met her mother. Claire gets upset that West is there. West shows Claire a news article discussing the head cheerleader seeing a "boy who could fly". Claire becomes upset and West says he wants to be part of her life. Claire and West are hanging out and Claire is about to reveal who her dad is, and West thinks he's "moving too fast". Just then HRG arrives home and is walking up the stairs. West sees HRG and tells Claire the man who was after him is there. West takes off and Claire goes after West outside to tell West it's her dad. West feels that Claire is trying to trap him and flies off. Later, Claire continues to try to get in touch with West but he won't answer her text messages. Mrs. Bennet tells HRG that Claire has a boyfriend, West, and HRG confronts Claire over it. HRG shows Claire the newspaper article involving a "flying boy and a girl being dropped 50 feet". HRG tells the family they are packing up to move again. Claire tells HRG they will go without her then and she storms off.

Peter & Caitlin

Peter and Caitlin are in the vacant streets of NY in June 2008. A group of masked Biohazard men descend on them to take them to a decontamination chamber as they are discovered out in the streets. After they are hosed down, a man informs Peter he is "a dead man" according to his death certificate. The man asks how a dead man walks around New York without getting infected. He tells Peter that on March 20, 2007 the Shanti virus was discovered in its first incident. The man then takes Peter to see a lot of dead bodies all due to the virus. Angela Petrelli is in the future and visits with Peter who still has amnesia. Angela tells Peter he needs to remember his powers, because his brother was the first to die from the virus. Angela begins to use her own powers to implant memories in Peter's head to help him remember who she is. Peter finally says "Mom" then hugs his mother.

Angela and Peter go to an area where other "survivors" are being corraled. Caitlin ends up seeing Peter from behind a gated area and runs over to him asking him to not let them take her away. Peter says he'll save her, but just then he teleports back to Montreal to the room where he found Adam's note. Peter realizes he's back in present day and reads the note again saying "I don't know any Adam". Peter here's a noise and casts a bolt of lightning towards the door, but a hand absorbs it, then regenerates. Out comes Takezo Kensei, who introduces himself to Peter as "Adam" and says "you and I are going to change history".

Writer's Strike Unavoidable

The dreaded writers' strike is officially upon us in Hollywood. Last ditch attempts to prevent the strike failed, and now writers will take to the picket lines. The WGA decided to start the strike in New York, and refused to stop the clock so that negotiations could continue. Many are saying the first shows that could be affected will be late night shows such as Letterman and Leno. Our favorite regular series prime time shows like Lost, 24 and Heroes would most likely be next to follow. Heroes has already shelved "Origins" and has filmed an alternate episode for December 2 which will now serve as a Season 2 finale for the show.

The quicker the strike ends and negotiations are worked out, the better for all of TV and its viewers. Read more about the strike here at Hollywood Reporter.
