HRG, Claire, West, Suresh

Heroes opens with the Bennets packing up their things to go on the run. Claire comes downstairs in her new cheer uniform and HRG tells her they have to go. The two engage in an argument over leaving and Claire says she hates HRG for the things he's done such as abducting West. HRG grabs a roll of duck tape to tie up Claire but Mrs. Bennet intervenes telling HRG to stop and for Claire to go to school and say bye to her friends then come home. HRG shows his wife the paintings including his death and the shooter. He tells his wife to trust him and he will find West. HRG calls Suresh and asks him to have Molly track down West. Suresh reveals this info to Bob and Elle and they tell him HRG is dangerous. Suresh suggests they give HRG a false location to lure him.

Bob and Suresh are in Costa Verde to apprehend Claire and "take out" HRG. Bob introduces Suresh to Elle as his new partner and she displays her ability to shoot lightning.

West flies in to talk to Claire about her father and her being a "spy". Claire tells West it's a coincidence that her dad was the one who tried to abduct him and that she didn't tell him because she was scared. West refuses to trust her and flies off, revealing that Claire has spelled out "SORRY" with rocks placed on the ground.

HRG leaves to go to Claire's school to find West and get his help, but as he walks out the door, West flies into him snatching HRG up. West flies him up into the air and asks for answers about Claire. HRG tells West that Claire lied about not having a boyfriend so he must be important. As the two land on the ground, HRG gets up and pushes West down telling him he must convince Claire leaving town is the right thing to do. Suresh calls HRG and gives him a fake location for where West is. Since HRG is with West, he convinces West to come help him.

Bob shows up at Claire's cheerleader practice and convinces her he's from the Board of Ed, then calls her by her last name, causing Claire to take off running. Suresh meets up with HRG and gets in his car. regional sales manager of Primatech paper.

HRG and Suresh arrive where Elle is and HRG indiciates he knows her. As she's walking towards Mr. Bennet with her electric charge, West flies into her full speed causing her to hit a car. Suresh aims his gun at HRG but HRG subdues him, turning a gun on Suresh instead. As he is about to shoot Suresh, West asks Mr. Bennet what he's doing and causes HRG to stop. HRG and West take Elle away as a collateral captive. HRG handcuffs Elle to a chair, hoses her down with water and puts her feet in a bucket of water so her electrical powers shock her if she tries to use them. HRG talks to Elle about how she was brought into the Company as a child. HRG tells Elle he has kept Claire away from the Company because of how they operate. Bob takes blood from Claire and she pleads with him not to harm her father, HRG.

HRG sets up an exchange to give Elle back to Bob in exchange for Claire. The two walk past each other and give a look. Once Claire is safe, West takes her and starts to fly off. Elle shoots a lightning bolt up at them and the two crash to the ground in a heap. HRG then shoots Elle in the shoulder. HRG then heads over to Bob with his gun aimed. HRG says if he shoots Bob, the Company will disappear with him. Before he can shoot, Suresh blasts HRG with a gunshot to the eye, right through his glasses as the painting pictured. HRG falls to the ground and West holds Claire back then flies her out of harm's way. Claire is teribly upset later as she informs her mother of the bad news. West stays with them to comfort Claire.

Parkman, Molly, Angela Petrelli

Matt Parkman is back at the apartment with Molly Walker. She sees the photo of the Heroes elders and asks about it, Matt says he won't ask her to locate anyone from it again. Matt discovers he has the power of suggestion as he convinces Molly not to look at the photo and to walk back to the table to eat her cereal. Parkman continues to try to research the elder organization and Kaito's death. Parkman's boss tells him to stop working on the case because Angela Petrelli confessed. Parkman uses his power of suggestion to convince his boss to give him 24 hours to talk to Angela Petrelli further.

Parkman goes to talk to Angela Petrelli and she says she knows about his father's ability. Matt uses his power to suggest Angela answer all of his questions. She tells him about Adam Monroe who is 400 years old and seeking revenge. Parkman asks Angela to reveal the name of a woman in the elders photo but she refuses to and says Parkman is just like his father.

Hiro, Ando, Kaito

Hiro attends the funeral for his father in Japan along with his sister and Ando. Hiro is called to deliver the eulogy but leaves the front and goes to stand alone. Ando goes to ask Hiro if he's ok and Hiro says he must go back in time to prevent the murder. Hiro teleports to one week ago on the pigeon stoop in New York. Hiro oversees the conversation between Kaito and Angela Petrelli about them being targets with Kaito suggesting Angela leave town. Hiro rushes over to talk to his father telling him he has returned from the time of Takezo Kensei in Japan. Hiro warns his father of impending death, but his father says that this must be his fate. He takes his father to the site of his funeral where they find Hiro as a young boy with a sword saying he is "Takezo Kensei". The funeral is for his mother and Hiro reveals to the boy his father will die, but to learn from him and his lessons. He tells the boy some things Takezo Kensei just can't change.

Hiro brings his father back to the loft rooftop area where his murder takes place. Hiro is able to stop time during the attack on his father, and notices as the two men are suspended in mid-air, the face of his father's attacker is Takezo Kensei (Adam). Hiro is shocked by this and can't believe Kensei has survived all this time. Hiro delivers a Eulogy at the end of the show for his father's funeral talking of how some things are in God's hands and others God have given us a choice. Hiro says his father gave him these tools to face the battles ahead. Scenes are shown of Suresh holding his gun and looking upset, and Claire being comforted by West.

At the end of the episode we see HRG on a table of some sort with an IV dripping blood into his arm. His eye that had been shot starts to regenerate, and all of a sudden HRG gasps and sits up on the table. HRG then sees he's in a small enclosed room as the show ends.

Season 2: Episode 7: "Out of Time"

Hiro & Kensei

Kensei has Hiro captured and doped up. Kensei tells Hiro he is going to change the future now. The princess begs for Hiro's release. Later the Princess is able to free herself from being tied up. She runs over to help Hiro who's been drugged with Opium. She urges him to use his power and Hiro groggily teleports himself, the princess and her father out of captivity. Hiro goes to burn down the storage area housing the guns Kensei drops by and Hiro tells Kensei he needs to change history and they can still stop it together. Kensei is still upset at what Hiro did with the princess, so the two end up engaging in a sword fight. During the fight, they knock a lantern down, causing a fire. Kensei falls to the ground and Hiro offers to save him, but Kensei refuses and vows that "Hiro will suffer". Hiro teleports out of the tent as it goes up in flames.

Hiro finds the princess and informs her that he killed Kensei, despite destroying the guns and defeating White Beard. The Princess tells Hiro that it was Kensei's fault and that Hiro is Takezo Kensei as far as she is concerned. Princess asks Hiro to stay with her now but Hiro said there is one last trial where he must cut out his own heart to save the Princess from a dragon. Hiro says it is time for him to return to present time, and the princess says she will continue to tell his story so that Hiro will have stories to be told as a boy. Hiro returns to see Ando at the office and the two rejoice saying they have a lot to catch up on. Ando informs Hiro that his father was murdered.

Suresh, Matt, Molly, Bob

HRG calls Suresh to ask about him having a gun, as seen in painting #7. Suresh says he has no idea about a gun, and HRG says the painting shows him holding a "Company gun". Suresh asks HRG if he thinks he's expendable and says he doesn't know what HRG"s agenda is now. Just then Nikie comes in and Suresh ends the call. HRG burns all the paintings in Russia. Parkman and Nathan show up at the Company headquarters to show Bob the pic of his face marked for death with the red helix symbol. Bob talks about how Matt's father "Maurey" is coming to kill him. Bob asks Suresh and Niki to inject the virus into Maurey. Niki says she will use her power, but Bob says Maurey (Matt's father) could turn their worlds inside out using nightmares. Bob asks Matt to use his power to stop his father as he can use it beyond mind reading and get inside his father's head. Matt agrees then goes to see Molly Walker who's still in a coma and being monitored by The Company. Matt begins to use his thoughts to go inside Molly's head and talk to Molly. Her heart rate seems to respond positively as Matt tells her he loves her.

Suresh, Niki, Nathan, Bob, Matt

Maurey shows up at the Company to go after Bob. Suresh teams up with Niki as she is being haunted by a false illusion of DL, which is being generated by Maurey (Matt's father). Meanwhile, Bob tells Nathan about Adam Monroe, a guy who convinced The Company he could help them out. Bob says that Adam began using his powers as if he was "God" and took in Maurey and Linderman as his "disciples" to do his work. Bob says they had Adam locked up until 2 weeks ago when he escaped. Bob then reveals to Nathan that Peter is in fact still alive but that The Company lost track of him from Cork, Ireland.

Suresh realizes that Niki is talking to someone (DL), as Maurey continues to work his mind tricks. He makes Niki see DL being shot by Bob. Niki becomes upset, then punches Suresh and grabs a syringe to go after Bob. Niki begins to break down the door to get to Nathan and Bob. She comes at Bob accusing him of killing DL. Nathan pleads with Niki not to go after Bob because she's experiencing nightmares. Niki is unable to stop her nightmares and ends up stabbing herself in the arm with the Virus syringe because she doesn't know how to stop herself.

Meanwhile Matt is able to use his mental abilities to go into his father's apartment, where he finds Molly Walker. Matt is able to bring his father into the vision as well and asks his dad to turn himself in. Matt tries to leave the apartment with Molly Walker and his father uses his abilities to prevent them. Matt chastises his dad for leaving him and eventually he weakens him to the point Matt can get out with Molly. Back in the Company's monitoring room, Matt is sitting next to Molly's bed and sees his father layed out on the ground. Molly wakes up from her coma. Suresh with a broken nose then goes to save Niki by using his blood as the antibodies. He realizes that his blood isn't a cure and Niki has another strain of the virus, that he can't cure. Bob and Suresh discuss how the virus can't be cured. Bob shows Suresh a file of Claire Bennet saying she can regenerate and may be the key to curing the virus. Bob also tells Suresh that Mr. Bennet may be dangerous and provides him a gun, saying Bennet's mentor was recently shot in Russia. Suresh comes clean with Bob about how he was working with Bennet to bring down the company. Suresh decides to help bring in Claire to save Niki and takes the gun.

HRG, West & Claire

Claire wakes up to find that West is at her house and has met her mother. Claire gets upset that West is there. West shows Claire a news article discussing the head cheerleader seeing a "boy who could fly". Claire becomes upset and West says he wants to be part of her life. Claire and West are hanging out and Claire is about to reveal who her dad is, and West thinks he's "moving too fast". Just then HRG arrives home and is walking up the stairs. West sees HRG and tells Claire the man who was after him is there. West takes off and Claire goes after West outside to tell West it's her dad. West feels that Claire is trying to trap him and flies off. Later, Claire continues to try to get in touch with West but he won't answer her text messages. Mrs. Bennet tells HRG that Claire has a boyfriend, West, and HRG confronts Claire over it. HRG shows Claire the newspaper article involving a "flying boy and a girl being dropped 50 feet". HRG tells the family they are packing up to move again. Claire tells HRG they will go without her then and she storms off.

Peter & Caitlin

Peter and Caitlin are in the vacant streets of NY in June 2008. A group of masked Biohazard men descend on them to take them to a decontamination chamber as they are discovered out in the streets. After they are hosed down, a man informs Peter he is "a dead man" according to his death certificate. The man asks how a dead man walks around New York without getting infected. He tells Peter that on March 20, 2007 the Shanti virus was discovered in its first incident. The man then takes Peter to see a lot of dead bodies all due to the virus. Angela Petrelli is in the future and visits with Peter who still has amnesia. Angela tells Peter he needs to remember his powers, because his brother was the first to die from the virus. Angela begins to use her own powers to implant memories in Peter's head to help him remember who she is. Peter finally says "Mom" then hugs his mother.

Angela and Peter go to an area where other "survivors" are being corraled. Caitlin ends up seeing Peter from behind a gated area and runs over to him asking him to not let them take her away. Peter says he'll save her, but just then he teleports back to Montreal to the room where he found Adam's note. Peter realizes he's back in present day and reads the note again saying "I don't know any Adam". Peter here's a noise and casts a bolt of lightning towards the door, but a hand absorbs it, then regenerates. Out comes Takezo Kensei, who introduces himself to Peter as "Adam" and says "you and I are going to change history".

Monica, Dr. Suresh, Molly & Niki

Monica Dawson is watching gymnastics on a TV and mimicking the moves. Suresh comes in and talks to her about her powers, saying she is there for observation in New York. Bob comes in and introduces himself to her as "in charge of operations", then asks to speak to Suresh alone. Suresh notices a file folder with "Adam Monroe" on the file tab. Bob takes out a syringe with the Shanti virus, saying they will test it on Monica to see if they can take away her ability without harming her. Suresh warns against using this and creating a strain that could wipe out the entire population. Bob tells Suresh this is "for the greater good" and tells Suresh he must inject Monica.

Suresh calls HRG about what he's been asked to do, and HRG tells Suresh to go through with it and not to disappoint him. Later, Suresh is about to administer the shot to Monica, then tells her he can't do it. Suresh leaves the room and tells Bob he refuses to give the shot. Bob says someone else will. Suresh takes a chair and tosses it at the glass cabinet full of the virus viles, smashing it all. Suresh tells Bob he is going to take Molly and leave so someone else can do this research.

Bob later speaks to Suresh and says he is under a tremendous of pressure to stop a force going after them that is very dangerous. Suresh asks if it's "Adam Monroe" and Bob says yes. Bob tells Suresh he has someone else at his disposal to make sure there's no further problems, so Suresh agrees to continue helping him.

Bob delivers Monica back home and tells her she has a Burger Bonanza management training session. He hands her a folder of info and an iPod video she can learn "any skill she wants from". Monica is amazed by the support, advice and gifts. Bob tells her she has an amazing gift and that the town she's in could use some "amazing".

Niki/Jessica Sanders comes in to visit Suresh at the lab. Niki tells Sures she is going to be his new partner working with the Company for a while now. Niki tells Suresh she found out from Bob they are having some trust issues and she will make sure there's no more understandings.

Claire & West

Claire is trying out with several other girls for cheerleading at her new school. The head cheerleader, Debbie votes "No" to all 3 girls, but one girl stands up for Claire. Debbie asks if anyone else wants to vote for Claire, and no other girl comes forward. Debbie says Claire isn't "exiraordinary".

Claire talks to West about lying to her dad, saying she made the cheerleading team. Claire also talks about not making the team, and her and West talk about publicly humiliating the head cheerleader to bring her down a notch.

Late night at Claire's school, Claire asks the head cheerleader for another shot to be on the team. The cheerleader is getting drunk off a bottle in her hand and tells Claire no again. Just then someone in a dark ski mask comes up behind Claire and grabs her. The figure rises up into the air, flying, indicating it's West. West then drops a screaming Claire down onto a set of stone steps. The hooded figure flies after the head cheerleader, as she runs screaming.

Later Debbie is interviewed bya police officer and she describes what sounds like a crazy incident. Claire comes up saying she was never chased by a "flying hooded figure" and the police officers determine that the head cheerleader has been drinking. Later, the cheerleader who voted for Claire comes running up to West and Claire and tells them Debbie was suspended and kicked off the team for drinking. The girl tells Claire she's now officially on the cheerleading team.

Sylar, Alejandro & Maya

Sylar is traveling with Maya and Alejandro through Mexico to get to the US border. Sylar tells Maya how he used to have extraordinary powers and wants them back because he wants to be "special and unique". Sylar charms Maya a bit and starts to brush his hand against Maya's face as her brother wakes up in the back seat. Alejandro tells Maya he doesn't trust Sylar and wants to find someone else to take them across their border so they can ditch Sylar. Maya disagrees and says they will go with Gabriel because he can help them find Dr. Suresh.

Maya, Alejandro and Sylar make it to the border for the United States, but just as they cross the border, trucks come out and they are surrounded by men with guns claiming to be "Border Control". Sylar tells Maya they are fakes and to just drive around them, and Maya becomes upset. Sylar convinces Maya to use her gift to help them get past the men. Alejandro yells for Maya to take his hand, but Sylar says no and pushes his hand away. Maya becomes upset and the border patrol men all fall to the ground. Sylar begins to get sick too and tells Maya to "drive".

Later Sylar has been cured of the sickenss Maya caused. Alejandro starts to beat up Sylar for allowing Maya to wipe out the men she did. Maya tells him to stop because she had to do it to help them all. Maya pleads with Alejandro to let Sylar continue with them. Alejandro agrees but tells her next time her eyes go black he won't offer his hand and will let Sylar die. Maya goes to the car trunk and then Sylar tells Alejandro how he will kill them both once he gains his powers back. Sylar says even if he doesn't Maya is developing nicely and is a "shiny toy" that is all his.

Hiro, Kensei, Princess, Ando

Ando continues to look at the scroll message that Hiro sent. A scientist helps him read the ancient parchment, which discusses the attack in 1671 Kiso Mountain, Japan. Hiro remarks how he fears for the lives of Kensei and the princess in this battle to save her father. Hiro points out "the tent that smolders" on a map which is the one the princess' father is in. The princess asks Hiro why he has stayed back with them, but Hiro is unable to answer as Takezo comes up. Takezo says they must go to the "smoldering tent" and Hiro pretends it was Kensei who knew this all along.

Kensei, Hiro, the princess and her father begin to escape from the heavily guarded army camp of tents. Kensei fights off soldiers with his sword. One warrior emerges from behind them and fires a rifle towards Hiro and the princess, and Hiro quickly uses his power to teleport them out of harm's way. The princess asks Hiro how they got to an empty forest. Hiro pretends not to know, but the princess says he held her and they moved to a new location. The princess then realizes Hiro can do amazing things, and he tells her he wants to fix history. The princess asks Hiro if he loves her and Hiro says yes, very much. The princess goes to kiss Hiro but he stops time and thinks twice about the "space time continuum". Hiro kisses her anyways and Kensei is seen looking on at them. According to the scroll Ando is reading Hiro's kiss screwed up the space-time continuum. Ando asks where the rest of the story is and the scientist says there isn't more.

Kensei, Hiro and the princess plot their attack at night time. Kensei goes up to the main warrior guarding the princess' father's tent. The man stabs Kensei with a samurai sword. Kensei doesn't die due to his ability to heal/regenerate. Kensei knocks the man out, then he Hiro and the princess rescue the princess' father. The princess' father discusses that the army holding him there has a large arsenal of guns. Hiro tells Kensei he must destroy all the guns to keep the way of the Samurai going.

Kensei confronts Hiro about kissing the princess. Hiro says he accidentally fell in love with the princess, and Kensei says Hiro has cut him deeper than any blade could. Hiro swears to Kensei that that will be his last kiss and the fate of the world still lies in Kensei's hands. Kensei ends up knocking Hiro out from behind, then the enemy warriors come in, holding the princess and her father prisoner. Kensei has made a deal with the enemy, and steps over Hiro who is face first on the ground.

HRG & The Haitian

HRG pays a visit to Ukraine to see his Russian Mentor, Ivan. After knocking him out and restraining Ivan in a chair, HRG threatens to have Haitian wipe out treasured memories in Ivan's head if he doesn't give them info. HRG instructs Haitian to start with the day Ivan met his wife and Haitian puts his head over Ivan's forehead. Ivan tells HRG he should be tired of running and hiding his family from The Company. HRG tells Haitian to wipe out all his memories of Claire and HRG's family. Ivan suggest that they make a deal and asks HRG to come back to work with him and he'll be safe. HRG says forget it, after noticing a picture of Ivan's family up on a mantel. Ivan says he will give HRG the paintings and his life back if HRG "trusts him".

HRG asks Ivan about the daughter in his family picture who must have died and remarks how painful it must have been for Ivan. HRG tells Haitian to wipe out Ivan's memories of the daughter and Ivan finally gives in, telling HRG where the other paintings are located. Ivan asks if now the Haitian will wipe out all his memories of their visit. HRG says no instead they will make it look like a home invasion and murder, because otherwise the Company would discover Ivan's memory loss and trace it to the Haitian. HRG pulls a gun and Ivan pleads with him to stop or he'll "condemn himself to Hell". HRG shoots Ivan anyways and says "I know".

HRG and Haitian open a crate to discover the other paintings Isaac Mendez drew in the series of 8. A visible painting shows a vile of some liquid from a laboratory. HRG looks at paintings of a blond female banging her hands on a door, Hiro having a samurai sword fight with Takezo Kensei (painting 6), a man holding a smoking gun (painting 7), and then HRG laying dead on the ground, shot in the eye (painting 8). HRG asks "what does it mean?"

Peter and Kaitlyn

Peter and Kaitlynn decide to head to Monetreal in search of Ricky's killer. Kaitlynn says she wants to go, but Peter says its too dangerous. However, Kaitlynn says she needs to be there to "kill the bitch" for what she did to her brother.

Peter and Kaitlyn arrive in Montreal, Canada where they look at Peter's painting he drew and find the location it depicts. They come to a door which has the helix symbol carved above it. Peter and Kaitlyn enter the dark room. Peter finds a note on a mirror left with his name on it. The note reads "We were right about The Company. The World is in danger. It's up to Us. -Adam" Peter asks Kaitlyn what he's supposed to do and she says "he'll figure it out" then they hug. Peter says "tell me who I am and what the future holds". Just then, Kaitlyn and Peter are teleported to New York City which is completely empty of people, traffic and seems full of trash. Peter finds an "Evacuation Notice" paper laying on the ground which is dated "June 14th, 2008", making Peter realize he and Kaitlyn are one year into the future.

The episode closes with "In Memory of Tim Susco". Susco worked as key assistant location manager for the episode "Four Months Later. His IMDB profile reads that he died on August 15, 2007 at the young age of 25.

As Season 2 of Heroes continues to progress, here's some of the questions I'm working with. Also includes my speculation for what could easily happen this season. These aren't spoilers, just my ideas of what may happen.

1) Who is the Hero killer? My best guess is the "hooded hero killer" is either Nathan, Claude (the invisible man who trained Peter, season 1), or the Petrelli father. Nathan, Claude and Mr. Petrelli seem to have motives as they may not like "The Company" agenda or what was being planned for the city of New York. It would not be surprising if Parkman's dad is using mind tricks to involve Nathan or make it look like Nathan is involved. Takezo Kensei would make for a great twist in the plot, as we are watching him as a hero in the past and he's a killer in the present (it may even relate to #5 below).

2) Is West someone HRG sent to watch Claire? This is one that came up recently, in that maybe West is a trusted friend HRG met and helped via the Company. HRG asked West to watch over Claire. That might seem way off base though as the whole Claire-West relationship seems very well hidden from HRG. If not that, then possibly West is really a part of the current Company sent to gain Claire's trust so they can bring her in.

3) Who will Sylar's shiny new toy be? In the very first episode this season we were shown a bunch of intro scenes, including one which had Sylar saying "she's like a shiny toy for me to play with". This would seem to indicate Molly Walker. My guess is Sylar kidnaps her as bait to get Suresh to cure him. However Sylar could have been speaking about a few other characters such as Monica, Niki or even Maya.

4) Will Sylar kill Maya? If that happens, people are really in trouble, especially if Sylar gets upset. It would also mean that either Peter or Hiro need to be with Alejandro so they can freeze Sylar to "reverse the curse". Then Alejandro can work his magic to bring Sylar's victims back to life.

5) How is Hiro going to screw up the past/present/future? I just see it coming that Hiro will do something back in time with Kensei that isn't for the best or wasn't supposed to be done. It may possibly be a theory/motive as to why Kensei is in the present killing elder heroes. The question is what will Hiro mess up and what will it set off for the present day/future?

6) What is Monica Dawson's involvement? I can see it coming now, something involving Niki vs Elle or Monica vs Elle in some interesting female fight scenes. Maybe even a handicap match with Monica and Niki having a showdown with Elle. It's hard to figure out Monica's involvement in the story/plot so far and this makes some sense. It could also be she's just someone to give a new power to Peter and Sylar.

7) Does HRG get shot according to painting #8? - A friend of mine suggested that it is Sylar who is shot, not HRG, and it seems to make sense. Last season we all struggled with the "who's the bomb" question and who the "exploding man painting" depicted (Peter, Sylar, Ted Sprague). I believe we are being lead to think HRG is going to get shot, when in fact it is Sylar posing as him. West is with Claire and sees the guy who tried to abduct him and "bang". Best guess is the rest of those paintings HRG is looking for will show the other "elder hero murders" 1 by 1. Then HRG and whoever will be in a race to stop the next murders from going down.

8) How does Peter recall certain powers? This isn't a huge deal, the guy has amnesia. He knew to phase through ropes that were binding his hands, and was able to hear a suspicious thug's thoughts. So wouldn't he recall teleportation and just teleport himself back home to New York? I guess that's just a bit too easy and might ruin the story though...

Nathan and Matt Parkman

Molly Walker is in a coma with a serious fever at the start of the show, and Suresh is looking after her.. Mohinder convinces Parkman he must go confront his fear and find his father at the apartment Molly specified. Parkman says Angela Petrelli used to know his father, so he takes off as Suresh watches Molly. Later on Matt is having Angela Petrelli interrogated again at the police station. Nathan is at the station and convinces Parkman to take him along to Philadelphia.

Matt and Nathan go to Philadelphia to apartment 9 looking for Parkman's father. Matt is hesitant because he hasn't seen his father since age 13. Matt and Nathan enter the apartment where his father is aiming a rifle. Once Matt identifies himself and restrains his father, Matt and Nathan begin to ask him questions. Matt asks what he is doing to Molly, what he knows of the Kaito murder and Angela Petrelli being attacked. Matt's dad shows them a picture of himself with the red helix mark over it. He says he's trying to protect himself. Nathan tells Matt to "just read his mind". Matt tries to but is locked out and experiences a pain in his head. Matt's father reveals he has similar powers and tells Matt they become so much more later on in life.

Matt's father tells Matt he has some things to show him in another room that might shed some light. Matt's dad leads him into the room then a door shuts and Parkman is locked in. Nathan knocks on the door yelling for Matt but gets no response. Matt finds himself inside a prison cell, and a guard shoves him up against the wall. Nathan breaks through the door, and finds himself standing on the Pigeon coop outside Isaac Mendez' loft. Nathan overlooks a burned up version of New York City, after the explosion. Nathan is puzzled about what's going on.

Nathan and Matt are confronted by fears put into their minds by Parkman's dad. Nathan faces the burned up version of himself which tells him he is the reason the city has exploded. Matt faces his ex-wife with child who makes him feel guilty and inadequate, telling Matt he left them just like his own father left. As Matt's ex walks out of the cell, the guard returns and Matt gets into a fight with him. Nathan gets into a fight with his altered self up on the pigeon coop. It ends up being Matt and Nathan choking each other on the floor of the apartment. Matt starts yelling in his thoughts, telling Nathan to "wake up" as Nathan is choking him. Nathan wakes out of it. Matt and Nathan search the apartment for clues as to where Matt's dad went or what he's up to. Nathan finds a picture of "Bob" with the red helix mark over him and Matt decides Bob must be next on the killer's list, indicating his father may be responsible.

Mohinder Suresh, HRG, Niki Sanders

Mohinder calls HRG who is in Russia with the Haitian to tell him he's bringing Molly to the Company to get help. HRG says that once they have something Suresh cares about, they will have him where they want him. HRG warns Suresh, but Suresh brings Molly in for help anyways. While Suresh is monitoring Molly at the Company, his boss "Bob" comes in and hands Suresh a file folder of a new hero to track. Bob also gives Suresh a tazer just to keep safe and subdue any people he might need to. As they are talking, all of a sudden alarms start going off. Niki/Jessica Sanders bursts through a door. She pushes Suresh aside causing him to fly into a door. Niki then holds Bob up in a chokehold but Suresh is able to tazer her down.

Later, Bob and Suresh look after Niki who is recovering in a bed at the Company. Niki apologizes for earlier and Bob tells her she has multiple personality disorder which is a troublesome thing. As Bob leaves, Suresh tells Niki he can help her escape. Niki tells Suresh she came of her own will because she is sick and needs help. She says she gave up her son to be there and that the Company can help.

Ando, Hiro, Takezo Kensei

Ando brings the note written by Hiro on old parchment to a translator who is amazed at how aged the paper is. The scroll has a note written by Hiro, and talks about the various Kensei stories that Hiro is a part of back in time, with Hiro saying "it's like living in a storybook". Feudal Japan 1671 is shown with Kensei, Hiro and the princess planning to save the princess' father. Ando reads more and finds out that Hiro is planning to face an army with Takezo Kensei. Just then the ancient parchment becomes illegible and Ando is unable to read what happens next to Hiro. The man at the science lab helping Ando says he will need more time to read it before they know what happens next.

Peter Petrelli & Elle

In Ireland, Peter is still with his new girlfriend, Mickey's sister, Kaitlyn. She discusses him looking into the box to find his identity, but Peter says whoever is looking for him to "let them look". A new blonde woman, Elle is shown looking for Peter at the docks in Ireland. She tells the man she works for a company to help keep Peter out of trouble. He asks how she can handle him if Peter's so dangerous. Elle walks off around a corner and says "I can handle myself" as she emits electricity from her hand.

Mickey and his friend tell Peter that an American woman was looking for him on the docks. Mickey tells Peter he needs to go hideout while he takes care of things. Peter says he can take care of himself, but Mickey says he needs to stay safe so they head to Kaitlyn's loft. Peter notices that Kaitlyn paints and has several paintings around. Peter decides that Kaitlyn was right earlier about checking his identity out. Peter opens the box containing his possessions, telling Kaitlyn he wants to stay with her regardless of what he finds. Peter finds a passport giving his name, a plane ticket for Montreal and and a photo of him with Nathan but he is unable to identify him. As Peter ponders things he notices a blank canvas in the loft. He walks over to it and his eyes gloss over white as he begins painting frantically.

Elle goes to the Irish Pub and asks Mickey if he knows Peter's whereabouts. Mickey pretends he never saw Peter before, and despite Elle's repeated questioning, sticks to his story. Elle locks up the pub and then blasts Mickey with a bolt of lightning. Later, Elle talks via cell phone to her employer about how she had to use "persuasion" and killed someone while looking for Peter. Her boss tells her to return home, and an angry Elle says she almost has Peter. Despite this, her boss tells her to return, and she says "sorry daddy it won't happen again", driving off.

Peter and Kaitlyn analyze the painting Peter has quickly created, noticing two individuals in the picture, as well as a large church-like building and street signs that are in French. Kaitlyn says it may be Montreal like the plane ticket Peter found in his box of personal items. Just then Kaitlyn receives a call on her cell phone that Mickey has been murdered. Peter and Kaitlyn rush to the Pub to find Mickey dead. Peter tells Kaitlyn it is all his fault so he has to find who was looking for him and can't hide anymore.

Monica and Micah

Monica is confronted by a police officer who asks her to ID the guy who tried to rob their fast food restaurant. He shows her a picture and says the guy is a gang banger, so he needs Monica's help to get this guy off the street. Monica says she can't help. Monica's coworker asks Monica about how she did the karate kick and Monica says she "saw it on TV" and doesn't know what is happening with her lately. Later on, Monica sees Micah playing the piano at their home. Since she witnesses this, she is able to recreate Micah's playing of the piano herself. Micah asks her if she plays piano and just then Monica notices she's able to play. Micah and Monica are both shocked.

Micah tells Monica he thinks he knows what is going on with her. Micah reveals his power to manipulate electronics to her and tells her he thinks her ability and his must run in the family. Micah tells Monica that DL could walk through walls and that his mom also has abilities. Micah shows Monica the 9th Wonders comic book which features "St Joan", a "muscle mimic". Micah says the girl's power is to that whatever she sees she can do. Micah tells Monica she should test this power out. They head over to a rec area where Monica witnesses skateboarders, basketball and double dutch jump roping. Monica steps in and shows off her abilities to double dutch, impressing everyone including Micah.

Later on, Monica watches a Bruce Lee movie on TV and Micah sees her mimicking the various moves. They discuss how their powers must be related and maybe they are supposed to help someone. Micah goes to bed, just as a knock comes at the door. It's Dr. Mohinder Suresh and he tells Monica he has some answers for all the questions she's been having.

Episode 204: Kindness of Strangers

Claire, HRG, West

Episode opens with HRG looking at the picture of the painting of himself #8 in the series Isaac Mendez drew. It shows HRG laying on the ground after being shot in the eye. Claire is seen looking down at him with a dark figure seeming to hold her. HRG discusses if Claire might be seeing someone with Mrs. Bennett. Mr. and Mrs. Bennett confront Claire about seeing any boys at school. HRG said if there's a boy, he'd like to meet him to help her decide if he's trustworthy.

West talks to Claire about hanging out and Claire says her dad is overprotective. West asks to meet him and Claire says it's a bad idea. West asks for just one night to see Claire and Claire agrees. Later that night, Claire tells her family she has to head out for a project at the library. She leaves the house saying she'll walk there. HRG follows outside, but West flies off with Claire before any of them see each other.

West takes Claire up on top of the big Hollywood sign at night so they can sit and look out. Claire discusses being uanble to open up about what happened to her in her "past life". West says she will need to trust him and asks Claire to take a jump off the Hollywood sign. Claire eventually does, and West swoops in to catch her, then flies straight up in the air. Claire and West embrace in the air.

Claire returns home from her date and tells HRG she made the cheerleading squad at the new school. HRG is upset about it and says he specifically told her not to. Claire says she's given up everything else and needs one thing that's normal. HRG says it's fine if she cheerleads then she won't date for now. The Haitian shows up to talk to HRG saying they need to travel to Ukraine to find out about the missing paintings.

Nathan & Angela Petrelli, Matt Parkman

Nathan is in Washington, DC and visits his two sons at their private school to tell them their grandmother is in the hospital. Nathan apologizes for not being around for them, but says he promises to come home. A teacher comes up and reminds Nathan he's not allowed to be there.

Matt Parkman and his police chief are interviewing Angela Petrelli in a hospital room. She tells them she was the one who pushed Kaito Nakamura off the rooftop and killed him. Parkman says they brought her to the hospital with self-inflicted wounds and she says it was due to the fact she was distrought. Matt's boss says he'll go file the paperwork and Angela thinks to Matt "let this go or they will find us all and kill us".

Nathan gets angry with Parkman for coercing a confession from his mother. Matt tells Nathan he knows Angela is innocent and reveals his power to Nathan that he can read minds. Matt says he knows Nathan can fly too. Nathan says he recognizes the red symbol and photos that were left for Angela and Kaito. Parkman says he needs Nathan help to find the killer and Nathan agrees. Nathan confronts his mother saying he knows shes innocent, but she continues to put up a front and is wheeled away in cuffs.

Parkman is with Nathan Petrelli at an apartment. Parkman tells Nathan about his wife cheating on him and becoming pregnant with the guy's baby. Parkman says he lost his job out in LA due to all the mental problems he had. Nathan finds a copy of the picture of all the people being "picked off" by the killer. It shows Mr. Linderman, Mr. and Mrs. Petrelli, Charles Deveaux, Kaito Nakamura, Bob (who is Suresh' boss at the Company) and several others. Nathan says he doesn't know the rest of them and Parkman recognizes that one man in the picture is his father.

Later on, alone at his apartment, Nathan looks through pictures of his brother Peter. He looks a picture and tells him "I'm gonna make things right Pete". Nathan looks up into a mirror and sees a reflection of a burnt up man. Nathan punches the mirror enraged screaming "get away from me!" Nathan's fist is covered in blood.

Maya, Alejandro & Sylar

Maya and Alejandro are fleeing in Mexico with the inmate they met, Derek who's driving the car. He discusses getting them to the border. Just then he screeches to a halt as there is a man lying face down in the dirt road ahead of them. They get out and check on the man, turning him face up to reveal it's Sylar, saying "help me".

Sylar travels with Maya, Alejandro and Derek and tells Maya he's heading to New York. Maya tells Sylar they are also headed there and shows Sylar the Suresh book. Sylar says it's a coincidence because he knows Suresh too. He introduces himself as Gabriel Gray and Maya says "just like the angel".

Maya, Alejandro, Derek and Sylar stop in a small village area to get food and other items. Derek finds a newspaer and front page shows Maya and Alejandro with the headline "Homicidio". Derek shows the paper to Sylar. Sylar tells Derek to go call the police. Sylar then follows him with a brick and kills Derek with it. Sylar gets into the car with Maya and Alejandro and confronts them with the newspaper. Maya becomes upset and Sylar starts to get sick from her plague she unleashes. Alejandro grabs her hands and stops it from killing Sylar. Sylar agrees to bring them to New York saying he's helped other people with Suresh.

Micah and Monica

Micah is staying with relatives, one of which is a young boy who gives attitude to Micah repeatedly. The young boy keeps asking everyone for $65 for a wrestling Pay Per View and everyone refuses it saying it's not worth the money. A young woman, Micah's cousin, Monica comes downstairs dressed for her job at a restaurant saying she finds out tonight about her management test and how she did. Micah tells the young boy he might know a way to get the Pay Per View on TV.

Monica is working at the fast food restaurant telling her co-worker friend that she took the management test and wants to make money to help her family. Monica's coworker notices that Monica has carved a tomato up in an intricate way, similar to what Monica saw her grandmother watching on a cooking show earlier. The boss comes by and tells her that she isn't right for the management position because of her home life. Monica continues to have visions of the destruction of Hurricane Katrina. Monica tells her coworker that maybe God is punishing her for being selfish and that she's praying for a way out of her current situation.

Micah uses his power with electronics and makes the Pay Per View work on the television, impressing the other young boy. Monica comes in and chastises them for the Pay Per View. Monica explains to Micah she agreed to watch after him but he needs to follow rules there. Micah hugs Monica and puts his hand on her back thinking he can fix her. Micah goes to watch the Pay Per View and Monica's eye does some interesting trick almost absorbing the TV picture into her mind.

Later at work as Monica is trying to lock up for the night, a young man forces his way in with a gun to rob the restaurant. Monica gets up and does a wrestling move she saw on the TV earlier, swinging around on a pole and kicking the man. He takes off running. Monica's manager sees what she's done and asks where she learned it, she says "on TV".

Molly Walker, Suresh, Parkman

Molly Walker continues to have nightmares about the man who's able to see her. After Matt's meeting with Nathan, he tells Suresh and Molly he needs to find his father, saying he left him at age 13 and never saw him after. He shows Molly the picture and Molly screams for him to get the picture away. Molly asks Matt not to make her find his father because "he's the nightmare man".

Later on Suresh argues with Matt about making Molly find his father. Molly finally comes out and tells Matt she will help. Molly sits with Matt and Suresh and tries to locate "the nigtmare man". She finds him at a Philadelphia apartment, 3rd floor, #9. Just then Molly's visions show a door opening and she says the man sees her and is going to get her. Suresh and Parkman tell Molly to get out, but it's too late. Molly falls into a comatose state but Parkman can hear her thinking "help me Matt!" in desperation.

Heroes Chapter 2 Episode 203 - "Kindred"

Peter Petrelli

Peter asks Mickie what he needs to do in order to get his life back and Mickie reminds him of the box he has with his identity in it. Mickie asks Peter to help them rob an armored car containing the winning prize money from a football (soccer) game. Peter overhears one of the thugs thinking how he's going to take all the money himself. Peter confronts the man but since nobody else can hear his thoughts, the thugs threaten Peter telling him to back off. Later, Mickie's sister says she will have Peter's back during the heist and says he can trust her. Peter helps divert the guards as the other thugs draw their guns and tie the guards up. Peter assists with the robbery job as guards start to shoot at the thugs and Peter uses telekinesis to move the armored car in front of them. Peter and the thugs make a getaway.

Later on, the thug who Peter heard thinking about ripping the others off, draws a gun on Mickie and starts demanding the money they stole. Peter exclaims how he was right, and the thug shoots him several times. Peter gets back up and uses telekinesis to lift the man up against the wall. Mickie sees Peter heal from his gunshot wounds before his eyes. Peter eventually releases the thug from the wall as Mickie's sister screams for him to stop. Later on, Peter gets a tattoo to match the ones the other Irish thugs have. Mickie gives Peter the box containing things to help with his identity. As Mickie leaves his sister with Peter, Peter decides he prefers the life his is living now and begins to kiss Mickie's sister.

Maya and Alejandro

Maya and Alejandro are in Mexico. They try to steal a car and Alejandro gets caught by the police as he yells for Maya to run for it. Alejandro is taken to a local jail and put into a cell next to another jailed man who tries to talk to him. Maya goes to bail her brother out of jail, and the guard demands 2500 pesos. She pleads with the guard to let him go because they are trying to get to America to see a doctor. The guard asks if she has papers then says she better leave before they call the border police. Maya rips the "Wanted" poster off the wall and shows the guard her and her brother are wanted for Murder. The guards grab her, but Maya's eyes turn dark black and her power kills everyone in the jail and office, except her brother. Maya unlocks here brother's cell and then they hold hands concentrating to bring everyone back to life. The inmate who was next to Maya and Alejandro's cell asks them to go with him since he has a car. All three speed off in the car away from the jail.

Hiro and Takezo Kensei

Ando is back in an office in Japan and reminisces about his friend Hiro. Ando pulls the ancient Samurai sword out of the cabinet that Hiro left with him. Ando finds that there is a small note inside which Hiro wrote for him, during his time travel to the past. Ando reads the tale of Hiro's adventures in ancient Japan. Hiro informs Ando that Kensei has power as well, and its then shown that he can regenerate. Hiro begins to fall for the princess and also shows Kensei his own power to teleport. Hiro convinces his new pal, Takeoz Kensei to embark on the adventure to retrieve the important fire scroll. Hiro teleports Kensei to a temple to fight the 90 angry Ronin warriors protecting the scroll. As Kensei returns from his quest and the Princess joyfully embraces with him, Hiro is saying he must return back to his time. Kensei seems disappointed. Hiro sees the Princess seeming to be in love with Kensei, and decides he will stay.

Sylar & Candice

A red headed woman is shown on a beach chair talking on a cell phone. She says "he's here and still sleeping" to an unknown caller. As she hangs up, she turns to see the man waking up. The man is revealed to be Sylar. Sylar asks where he is and who the woman is. She tells him it's Maui and her name is Michelle but she used to go by Candice. Candice then reveals to Sylar that she is a master of illusion, and shows him he is really on a surgical table/gurney in a lab type room, with his midsection stitched up. Sylar screams out in pain as he tries to move.

Later, Sylar is seated at a table as Michelle (Candice) brings him some food. Sylar is trying to make a coffee mug on the table move. Sylar becomes angry at Candice saying his powers are gone. Candice says once his chest has healed she will begin helping him get his abilities back. Candice then transforms herself into several different females and even Sylar himself, saying she can help him and make it fun in the process. Sylar walks up to her pretending he has warmed up to her, but then smashes his coffee mug across her head. Candice collapses to the floor and Sylar proceeds to steal her brain/power. Sylar yells out the names of several locations trying to change his scenery but can't make it work. Sylar angrily leaves the small house screaming "What's wrong with me?!" and the scene zooms out revealing Sylar is deep within a forest area in the middle of nowhere.

Niki and Micah Sanders

Niki and Micah visit the grave of DL Hawkins 1976-2007. Niki tells her son she will bring him to see DL's grave site whenever he needs to. Niki takes Micah to a new home in New Orleans, and Niki tells Micah to remember "No more powers". Niki tells Micah to stay with this new family and she won't be gone for very long. Niki brings Micah to the front door and an older woman welcomes him to New Orleans.

Matt Parkman and Mohinder Suresh

Parkman wakes up at night in the apartment with Molly Walker, hearing someone in the kitchen. He goes out with his gun to find is Mohinder. They discuss Mohinder's new job with the Company and Matt says he shouldn't be working nearby to Molly. Matt says he can't babysit both Molly and Mohinder and tells Suresh how dangerous the Company is. Suresh is given Isaac Mendez' old loft by The Company. His boss tells him they will keep a close watch on him during his work, because supervision is in everyone's best interest.

Claire and Mr. Bennet

Claire and her father, HRG, talk about their new life in California. HRG says they would have to leave town if Claire's power or identity were discovered. Claire confronts her classmate West who saw her ability to regenerate her small toe. In science class, West brings up the topic of regeneration to the teacher and it causes Claire to leave. Later, West finds Claire outside and says she should just admit she's different. Claire becomes upset and tells him she's tired of pretending but has to or else she will be taken away and studied by scientists. West tells her to shutup and shows Claire he has an ability too, picking her up and then flying straight up into the air with her.

Later, Claire and West sit on a beach and discuss their powers and end up kissing. While doing so, Claire notices a weird mark on West's neck. She asks where it came from and he says one day on his way to school all of a sudden he woke up the next day not remembering what happened. West says he recalls just one thing a man stepping out from the bushes calling his name and trying to trap him like a wild animal. West says he can still remember the face, of a man wearing Horn Rimmed Glasses and Claire realizes what he means.

Later on, Suresh is working in his new lab (Isaac Mendez' loft). His boss has to take a cell phone call and steps outside. The call is from Niki Sanders asking the man if he can help cure her. He tells her yes but in return they will need something from her. Meanwhile, Suresh snoops around the office and finds more of Isaac's paintings from the series of 8. The first painting depicted the death of Hiro's father, Kaito Nakamura. Suresh finds the last painting in the series and takes a cell phone picture of it to send to HRG. HRG receives the pic at his computer which shows HRG dead on the ground with blood all over his face and a bullet shot through the left side of his glasses. A blond girl, possibly Claire, looks on from around a corner with a dark figure holding her. Just then Claire enters the room telling HRG goodnight and he closes the screen down. HRG says goodnight as Claire walks off and he stares at the picture Suresh just sent.

Even though only 1 episode of the new Heroes has been shown, it's still fun to pose questions and make some speculations. Here's a few things to ponder so far.

- Sylar and Candice will team up. This appears to be the case due to the early TV promo which shows Sylar sitting in a beach chair wearing a Hawaiin shirt asking "so none of this is real?" It makes one conclude that Candice was the one who saved Sylar, brought him down to the sewers and used her powers to decorate it like a tropical island.

- Sylar's main target this season will probably be Molly Walker first and foremost. He realizes Molly's power will basically help him find whoever he wants wherever they are. Now the question becomes did Peter absorb her power when she was nearby and will he start to use it?

- The Peter lost and confused in Ireland situation is a bit perplexing. Will he have forgotten all his powers? Who chained him up in a cargo container? Will he become a criminal until he gets his memory back? A lot of questions there. On a side note, these "forget who they are" stories can get old on shows, especially when we saw Peter finding himself so much in Season 1.

- Either Nathan or West will die this season. This is assumed based on the fact two heroes now possess the power of flight. Since Peter can already do that, it makes you think Sylar's going to take it from someone. So will it be Claire's new friend, or her father? Could be interesting. If both Peter and Sylar could fly, it makes for some great aerial battles!

- Who is the person/villain trying to eliminate the original elder Heroes? You can speculate so many people are in that role. Nathan sticks out as one strong possibility due to his mother and Linderman trying to make him destroy NYC. They ruined his life, made him lose his brother (he thinks) and office. So now he's seeking revenge based on all that. He also has the ability to fly, and as seen he might have used that to kill Hiro's father. Other possibilities include The Haitian (he's still mysterious) as well as some character we've never seen before. It's someone that Hiro's dad knew, giving one possible clue.

- Last but not least is the new enemy that Molly Walker is having nightmares about and drawing, who is worse than the Boogeyman. Questions become, what are his powers? Is it the same person that is taking out the elder Heroes? Will anyone have the ability to face and stop this new menace? Stay tuned...

I remember seeing an interview with Masi Oka (Hiro) in which he claimed a new viewer could start watching Heroes from this season and not be lost. Sorry Masi, I need to disagree. I tried to keep that idea in the back of my head while I watched the first new episode, and if I hadn't watched Season 1, I'd be completely lost. Four months later is right, but how would a new viewer be expected to know what's going on with Peter, Nathan, Claire, Mr. Bennett, and Hiro from the start here? It could be very confusing. Perhaps I missed the "previously on Heroes" that comes before the show too as I saw it on NBC.com streaming video. If that was there, things make more sense.

I don't want to by too cynical about the show just yet either since it's just the first episode. It had an interesting start but some of the stories were a bit jumbled together here. The person stalking the original Heroes (Kaito Nakamura, Angela Petrelli, etc), makes for an interesting plot. For some reason when I saw the mysterious character who took out Hiro's dad (plummeting off the roof with him), I thought Nathan Petrelli. I started thinking he just might have the motive to go after these people, because he believes they were all reason for Peter's "demise" and the almost blowing up of NYC.

It makes you wonder if the person who took out Hiro's dad is also the person haunting Molly Walker's dreams. That might toss the Nathan theory right out the window, and would make this very interesting. I'm very curious to see the powers of each of these characters (if they are seperate). Sylar has been a great villain but it's nice to meet some new ones too.

The revelation that the boy Claire met named Wes can fly is interesting, since he shares it in common with Nathan, Claire's father. The other new powers seen were the man who employed Mohinder for the company. He can turn objects to gold which is sort of neat. Imagine what Sylar would do with that. Also imagine what he would do with the new girl, Maya's power. Terrifying.

Hiro lost in time is kind of cool to see, because he hasn't really gone back so far in history before. Now he'll be involved in making some real history with Kensei the warrior and setting the course of things straight.

Finally, there is the Peter situation. It was a safe bet the top character on the show lived, but now it seems he's forgotten who he is and what he can do. I always dislike those sorts of plots, but that's probably what the writers want for now. The fact he was chained up inside a huge cargo container, it makes you wonder who put him there. Also, will Peter become part of a crime syndicate or gang? The guys who found him just might take him in.

Overall, I'm looking forward to the next episode as always, because I know some episodes are better than others. We still haven't seen Niki, Isaac, DL, Sylar, Candice and several others. They have plenty of time to make things interesting from here on out. The best part of the show is they give you plenty of room to imagine just about any scenario playing out. For example, with Sylar alive it's very possible Nathan has gone "bad", and Sylar will end his existence. Add to that the fact that Surseh is now a "Company Man", those both play right into the future that Hiro saw where Sylar had killed Nathan, and Suresh was part of the Company. Strangely suspicious but could become very interesting.

For Heroes Season 1 "Genesis", this marks the final episode. Here is a recap of the explosive Season 1 Finale to "Heroes" entitled "How to Stop an Exploding Man", originally aired on Monday, May 21, 2007.

Heroes opened with a flashback of various scenes from throughout past episodes. Niki was seen tending to DL who had taken a bullet from Linderman. DL then proceded to stick his hand through the back of Linderman's head to kill him. Niki asked DL to use his power to phase them through the office wall and escape guards who had just broken into the room. Meanwhile, HRG and Matt Parkman had just entered Molly Walker's holding chamber. HRG held a gun towards Molly as Mohinder Suresh clocked Parkman over the back of the head with his gun. HRG told Suresh as long as Molly is alive, 1000's are at risk to die. HRG said killing her will save them. Suresh asked HRG if killing Thompson saved 1000's, and HRG said no it was to save his own life. Just then Matt Parkman, lying on the floor, saw Molly underneath the bed. Molly exclaimed Officer Parkman was back to keep her safe. Parkman said nobody would be harming Molly. Hiro spoke to his father about how all his life Hiro had been viewed as a failure. Hiro's father handed him the sword and Hiro teleported off to go find and save his friend Ando, who had left to battle Sylar by himself. Sylar was seen at Isaac Mendez' apartment painting yet another vision for the future. This painting showed him face to face with Peter Petrelli. Sylar exclaimed "Peter Petrelli" and then used his power to slice the painting of Peter flying in half.

Nathan is in his office sans election victory speech. His mother enters the office to inform him that Linderman was murdered in his office, but that this doesn't change plans, and the bomb will still be going off. Nathan informs her that his wife and kids have landed in Nantucket and that a chopper will be meeting he and his mother on the roof. Nathan tells his mother that the city and nation will need him after this terrible explosion. Niki and DL are searching for Micah in the office building, and DL tells Niki to leave him behind. Niki says she will find their son and come back for him. Meanwhile, Suresh and HRG are moving Thompson's body in a sheet to hide it in another location. Suresh angrily confronts HRG about nearly shooting Molly. HRG explains how the agency he used to work for is now corrupt and his only priority is protecting his family. Suresh explains that he is responsible for Molly's life, since he used his own antibodies to save her. Just then Parkman enters saying something is wrong with Molly, and Suresh rushes to help. HRG receives a cell phone calls from Claire who is traveling with Peter. Claire informs HRG that Sylar got to Ted and killed him. HRG speaks to Peter and tells him he is the only one who can stop Sylar. HRG says he will use a tracking system to locate Sylar, and tells Peter to keep Claire safe at all costs. Peter brings Claire to Nathan who is waiting in a parking garage. Claire gets angry at Peter for lying and bringing her to Nathan. Peter says he is scared and that he wants to do what's best. Peter goes out and talks to Nathan, and tries to explain the bomb is Sylar, who killed Ted Sprague. Peter then hears Nathan thinking that nobody will be able to stop the bomb and everyone will die. Peter turns to get Claire, but sees she has vanished from the car. As Claire is trying to escape, she runs into her grandmother. Nathan goes for Peter, but Peter turns invisible and leaves the scene. As Peter goes out into an empty street yelling for Claire, his hands start glowing with radiation and Peter collapses.

HRG, Parkman and Suresh are bedside with Molly Walker and ask her to locate Sylar. Parkman asks Molly how she is able to locate someone and she says just by thinking about them, and then pointing to them on the map. Parkman asks if she can find anyone, and Molly says just about anyone. Molly tells them there is 1 person, who is worse than the Boogeyman, and when she thinks about him, he can see her. Molly then sticks a pushpin on the map, and HRG and Suresh determine it is Isaac Mendez' loft where Sylar is. HRG tries to call Claire's cell phone to get in touch with Peter, but Claire's grandmother takes the call. She tells HRG they are taking Claire out of harm's way and she suggests HRG do the same. HRG asks to say goodybe to Claire. While on the phone he tells her to go with Nathan and her grandmother, and once she is out of the city to get away from them. HRG asks Claire where Peter is, but Claire says she doesn't know. HRG assures Claire he has a plan. HRG tells Parkman their new priority is to find Peter Petrelli, since he is the only one capable of stopping Sylar. Parkman says that he is a cop and he will go after Sylar on his own. HRG says that Sylar will kill Parkman if he does that, but Parkman leaves anyway with his gun. Peter awakens in a dream state while laying in the street. He sees himself back up on the Deveaux loft, where he is helping care for Charles Deveaux. Peter also sees his mother come through to meet with Mrs. Petrelli. Peter meets Simone Deveaux and assures her he is there to help. Peter in the dream sees his mother talking to Mr Deveaux about the bomb and Linderman. Mr Deveax says he sees hope in Peter because he has heart. Peter's mother tells Deveaux that Peter is weak and ruled by insecurities. Peter's mom says the bomb will go off and Nathan will become a hero. As Peter's mom exits, Mr. Deveaux tells Peter he knows he is there.

Ando enters Isaak Mendez' apartment with sword in hand looking for Sylar. On his way over to the painting of Peter facing Sylar, he steps in a puddle. Just then, Sylar appears from behind him. Sylar makes Andos sword fly away, then puts one hand on Ando's throat, and sends him against the wall using telekinesis. Sylar notices that Ando has dropped a 9th Wonder comic, and inside sees the picture of Hiro slicing Sylar with his sword. Sylar asks Ando where Peter Petrelli is and starts cutting into his skull as Ando is screaming. Just then, Hiro appears behind Sylar and grabs the sword from the floor. Hiro yells for Sylar to let him go. Sylar turns and challenges Hiro to try his "little time stop trick" befor Sylar cuts his friends head off. Hiro teleports over to Ando and then teleports the two of them out of the apartment, away from Sylar. Niki finds an open door in the building she is looking for Micah in. As she opens the door, what appears to be Jessica is sitting on a couch. She tells Niki to look at what she's done, and Niki sees Micah lying dead on the ground behind the couch. Niki rushes over and begins to cry as the fake Jessica tells her she is weak. Fake Jessica then knocks Niki out. Meanwhile, Matt Parkman enters Isaak Mendez' apartment to find all of the paintings done by Sylar and Isaak. Parkman finds the painting of Peter facing off with Sylar, and leaves to go to the scene where it will happen. Suresh is trying to rush Molly out of the building, saying he just heard from Officer Parkman that the Boogeyman is on his way. Molly begins to think and then tells Suresh the Boogeyman is already there.

Claire speaks with her grandmother and Nathan in Nathan's office. She yells at them both saying they are insane to let their own son/brother to blowup and kill millions with his explosion. Her Grandmother tells her they will give her everything she's always wanted, including a normal life and family. Claire hugs Nathan and tells them, "I already have a family". Claire bolts towards the window of Nathan's office and jumps straight through the glass out the window. Claire falls many stories and hits the ground below with a thud. Nathan and Mrs. Petrelli rush to the window and see Claire lying on the street, then see Claire get up and walk off. Mrs. Petrelli tells Nathan to "let her go".

Niki battles the fake Jessica in the office apartment. As she falls to the ground, she sees her reflection in the mirro and Jessica tells her that the other woman isn't her. She tells Niki she needs to stop her and get Micah. Niki gains a burst of strength and punches the fake Jessica across the room. Fake Jessica ends up being Candice, the shapeshifter, who is knocked out cold on the ground. The appearance of a dead Micah on the ground also disappears. Niki then hears Micah yelling for help from a nearby locked closet. She rushs over to the door and yanks it open, and then tells Micah it is really her. She says they need to find DL now. Meanwhile as Suresh is bringing Molly Walker out into the building hallway, they stumble upon DL lying there. Suresh goes to tend to DL's wound and asks Molly to be a lookout, because the elevator system is not working.

Hiro and Ando appear back in Japan at the office where they work. Hiro tells Ando that now he must go back alone to face Sylar. Hiro thanks Ando for his friendship and bravery and presents Ando with a sword, saying it is a sign he will be back to see him again. Hiro tells Ando "it is not the sword, it is the man and this man is ready". Hiro then teleports out of the building. Peter speaks to Charles Deveaux in the dream state. Charles tells Peter his heart has the ability to love unconditionally, making Peter special. Just then Charles yells for the version of Peter in the dream to take him to his bed. Peter wakes up at HRG's yelling at him. Peter tells HRG that he needs to leave the city since Peter doesnt feel he can contain his own blast from the radiation. HRG tells Peter he needs to stick around to help Peter because if he goes nuclear that he will shoot him down. Peter thanks him as "Mr. Bennet", but HRG tells Peter to call him "Noah". Molly and Suresh continue to tend to DL, but then Molly tells Suresh the guards are on their way. Niki and Micah rush in, and Suresh yells they have to get out of there. Micah uses his power to manipulate the broken elevator system and make it work. Molly, Mohinder, DL, Micah and Niki get int othe elevator and escape just as the guards come rushing in. Peter and HRG head to the spot where HRG says the tracking system said to go to. Sylar appears from behind HRG and taps him on the shoulder. Sylar then uses telekinesis to toss HRG way back against a building wall, causing HRG to fall to the ground and lose his gun. Peter turns to see Sylar who asks "what took you so long?" and the two face each other, again.

Sylar faces off with Peter yet again, but this time Peter has help. Sylar begins to choke Peter lifting him from his feet telling him he won't stop him this time. Just then Matt Parkman appears and shoots 3 bullets towards Sylar. Sylar freezes the bullets mid air, then sends them straight back at Parkman into his chest/stomach. Just then, Niki, DL, Suresh, Molly and Micah appear as Sylar continues to choke Peter. Sylar uses his power to make a parking meter rip out of the ground, then swings it into Peter knocking him down. Niki sees what is going on and runs over towards Peter. As Sylar is about swing the meter again, Niki grabs it and rips it from Sylar's hand. Niki then swings the meter into Sylar sending him crashing down. Micah yells to Niki that DL needs her help. Peter tells Niki to go back to his family. With his newly gained power of super-strength, Peter basically starts to beat the crap out of Sylar, punching him many times in the face with immense power. Just then, Peter's hands start to glow again. Sylar begins to laugh as he stands up and tells Peter "You're the bad guy, I'm the hero here". Peter continues to emit radiation. Just then, Hiro teleports in behind Sylar. Sylar turns to see Hiro, who yells and charges straight at Sylar with his sword. Hiro jabs the sword into Sylar's gut, then pulls it out, as Sylar falls to the ground. Peter asks Hiro to kill him so he won't explode. Sylar still alive, uses telekinesis to send Hiro flying back through the air towards a building. Hiro manages to teleport himself out just before he is about to hit. Peter continues glowing even more. Sylar's eye does a roullette type trick and shows all of the people Sylar murdered, then eye glosses over.

Claire enteres the scene and sees HRG shot down next to the building. She goes over to him and he convinces her to take his gun and go shoot Peter. Claire approaches Peter with the gun and Peter yells for her to do it. Claire is hesitant and about to shoot Peter, but just then Nathan flys down. He tells Claire the future isn't set in stone, and tells Peter since Peter saved the cheerleader now they have to save the world. Claire tells Nathan he will die if he flies Peter away, but Nathan says he will save millions of people. Nathan grabs Peter and the two fly up high into the stratosphere. An explosion is seen overhead by Claire, HRG, Suresh, DL, Niki, Micah and Molly. Niki asks DL what will happen to them, but everyone seems stunned.

As the events wrap up, HRG tells Claire he is going to take her home. Claire asks where home is, and HRG says wherever our family is together. The two leave with HRG in a sling. Matt Parkman is being taken away on a stretcher and Molly Walker runs over to talk to him. Matt is unconscious, but Molly yells to him he can't die because he is her hero. With ambulances and police on the scene, a trail of blood where Sylar was killed is also seen, and then a manhole cover, which is cracked open, indicating Sylar was either dragged down to the sewer or escaped on his own. Volume 1: Genesis concludes.

A brief 2 minutes into Heroes Season 2: Generations comes at the conclusion of the show. Hiro falls from the air into a grass field, with a bird soaring high over head. Just then a bunch of horses are heard approaching fast. As Hiro gets up, he sees a small army of Samurai warriors in red on horses, and some in front with bow and arrow. The warriors begin to prepare their weapons for battle. It is then revealed that Hiro is in Kyoto Japan, 1671. Hiro exclaims something in Japanese and it is translated as "%#%_(%!". Hiro turns to the other side and sees a single Samurai warrior wearing blue armor. The single Samurai goes to draw his sword. Just then a solar eclipse occurs overhead causing the everyone to become covered in the dark, as the show concludes.

Season 1: Episode 22 - "Landslide"

Peter is with Claire in New York and they had been searching for Ted Sprague, to
prevent the bomb. Claire spots her surrogate father, HRG, and runs to him, as
Peter follows. Ted and Matt are with HRG, and because Peter is in proximity to
Ted, he starts to emit radioactive energy from his hands. Peter yells for Claire to
use the gun hegave her to shoot him, but just then Peter is able to stop himself and
control the radioactivity. Claire meets with HRG to discuss his goals for coming to
NYC. HRG says he is there to stop the tracking system so then he and Claire can
have a normal life. HRG suggests that Claire go with Ted and Peter to a town in Nebraska to be safe, where Claire can stop either of them if they go nuclear. Ted
after some resistance says he's in. From a distance, Sylar is around a corner and has been listening and says "me too". As the 3 embark on their journey they are
discussing their ability and Peter stops everyone on the street. Peter hears the nearby thoughts of Sylar thinking about how he can use Ted's power for evil. Peter tells them Sylar is nearby and they need to get out of the area.

Nathan is dealing with his election and talking to Linderman in his office about the
disappointing results so far. Linderman tells Nathan in time he will lead the country, after today's congress election. Linderman tells Nathan his father would be proud of him uniting the country after the explosion that will happen. Linderman informs Nathan that Nathan's father also had powers and tried to save the world, but
learned it wasn't enough and gave up. Linderman tells Nathan that his father was
weak, but Nathan says his father was his hero. As Nathan's wife comes into the
office in her wheelchair, Linderman says he wants to give them both a gift for
Nathan's success. Linderman hold's Nathan's wife's hand for an extended time
looking at her. Nathan's wife comes over to him to chastise him for associating
with a man like Linderman. As they are arguing, Nathan notices his wife's foot
moving. She is able to stand up and is joyous over the fact that she can once again
use her legs. Nathan calls it a miracle.

Meanwhile, Hiro and Ando contact a local NY shop to repair the sword that was
broken by Sylar. The symbol in the phone book for the shop matches the symbol
seen on the sword, so Ando makes the call. Hiro gets on the phone and tells the
store clerk, the fate of the world is in his hands. As they are walking to the shop, they spot "flying man" or Nathan Petrelli. Hiro and Ando walk over to him where the crowd is. Hiro yells to him, and Nathan goes to talk to them. Hiro informs Nathan he must help them stop the bomb, because otherwise he becomes a bad
person in the future. Nathan says he is sorry but he cant stop it and nobody can.
Hiro yells at him "you already a bad guy, you a villain". Nathan waves to the crowd
and thanks them as he gets in his car. Jessica and DL are nearby and spot
Nathan, and say they need to go find him, to get to Linderman. DL says Nathan
will never see them coming. Hiro and Ando enter the shop to get the ancient sword
repaired. Hiro explains the sword was frozen cold then snapped, and asks the
shopkeeper if it can be fixed. The shopkeeper says it depends, on him, as a back
door opens and reveals Hiro's father, Mr. Nakamura.

Ando begs Hiro not to go back and meet with his father because he might convince
Hiro to go back to Japan. Hir says out of respect he must hear what his father has
to say. Micah is being held captive by Candice in an apartment, and discussing how he doesnt understand why someone cool like Candice works for a bad guy like
Linderman. Candice says that Linderman is going to heal the world. Micah says
he didn't realize it was sick. Linderman meets with Micah and tells him if he does
as he's told with his powers, Linderman will give Micah and his family enough
money to live happy every after. As Peter, Claire and Ted are walking in the city,
the FBI and special agents with police cars pounce on them. Ted yells for Peter
and Claire to run. Peter uses invisibility and escapes with Claire through the crowd. Ted pleads with Matt Parkman's former partner, Agent Hanson, that he
isn't a terrorist. She tells Ted he will be going to Guantanomo Bay, and he asks for a special cell so that his blast will not hurt people. Meanwhile, Hiro's father
explains that he like Hiro has special powers, and will now teach Hiro how to use
the sword and powers. Hiro's father shows Hiro several moves and tells him he
knows "a few things".

Candice disguised as a black woman to be Micah's mom, has Micah use his powers on a voting machine to rig the election to be a landslide victory for Nathan.
Micah is able to use his power to reach all of the voting machines networked together and gives Nathan a landslide victory. Meanwhile DL and Jessica find Nathan in his office where he is just seeing he won the electiong with %64 of the votes. DL and Jessica ask Nathan to inform them where Linderman is. Jessica and DL convince Nathan that Linderman is bad and will only continue taking things Nathan loves. Nathan asks them to assure him that Linderman won't come after them if they find him. Nathan gives them the location. DL says because Linderman took their son, he's going to pay for it. Takezo Kenzei stories father told to Hiro, where Kenzei tried to unite Japan, asking the wise dragon to teach him the secrets of the sword. The dragon taught Kenzei to be a sword saint, so Kenzei could save his people. The dragon came to Kenzei's palace and demanded the life of the princess. Kenzei drew his sword and put it into his own heart, saying "my love is in here, take it", and Kenzei then died. Hiro tells his father he must be stronger to face his enemy. Hiro's father demands Hiro to prove he is worthy of being a true hero by showing his sword skills. Hiro becomes angry and begins swinging the sword even more furiously than before. Meanwhile Parkman and HRG are infiltrating the building where the "tracking system" is found. HRG tells Matt to use his ability to hear thoughts to get them up to the proper floor. Matt uses his power to read a security guards thoughts and pretend he knows him. The security guard lets them through. On their way, they bump into Jessica and DL. Matt tells HRG they have to get out of there when he sees Jessica. HRG walks up to Jessica and DL and says they have similar goals, convincing them to work together.

Mohinder has finally cured Molly Walker, who has the ability to think about any person and locate them. Mohinder asks her to prove it, so she thinks about Matt Parkman, and places a pin on a map to indicate he is in the same building. She asks Suresh if she will get to see the man who saved her life again, the cop. Suresh asks Molly if she can think about where "the Boogeyman" aka Sylar is right now. Just as she is about to, agent Thompson, HRG's former boss, enters and says now that Molly is cured, there is a helicopter ready to take her and Suresh to someplace safe. Parkman and HRG ride up in an elevator with Jessica and DL. As they exit for the proper floor to get to the tracking system, HRG tells Jessica that Linderman is on Floor 51. Matt and HRG go to locate Molly, but Thompson comes out with a gun drawn ready to kill. As HRG is walking down the hall, Matt hears Thompson's thoughts and pulls HRG out of the bullet's way. HRG has a gun and runs around the hall, leaving Parkman alone. Just then Thompson comes up on Matt and sticks the gun to Matt's head. Thompson asks Parkman "what am I thinking now?" Just then HRG points a gun to Thompson's head and says "your last thoughts". HRG shoots Thompson twice killing him. Parkman and HRG get to the room where Molly is. HRG and Parkman enter the lab/room and behind the curtain see Molly. Matt asks if this is really the tracking system, and HRG says there is alot he wasn't told when working here. Just then Suresh clocks Parkman over the head with a gun, knocking him out. HRG points his gun at Molly as Suresh tells him to lower his weapon. HRG and Suresh remain with guns drawn, as HRG explains that as long as Molly is alive, nobody is safe.

Hiro finishes his training with his father and says he is ready to face Sylar and save Ando's life. As Hiro goes back into the shop, the shopclerk tells Hiro that his friend bought a sword and said he was going to go stop Sylar himself. Hiro's father comes out and says that if Ando went after Sylar alone, he's going to die. Jessica and DL enter Linderman's office just as he is getting off the phone. Jessica tosses Linderman across the room into a wall and asks where Micah is. DL pushes Linderman up against the wall threatening him. Linderman tells Jessica they wouldn't have Micah if Linderman hadn't created their relationship and history. Linderman tells Jessica the floor Micah is on and she begins to leave. Linderman tells her she'll never see DL again. She asks why and Linderman says because Jessica is going to kill DL for him. Linderman has Jessica open a bag full of money and says she will kill DL for money. DL pleads with her to think about why she is there. Eventually, Niki overcomes the Jessica personality and says she won't kill DL. Niki says shes loves DL. Linderman tells her she doesn't love DL. As the two are hugging, Linderman draws a gun and shoots DL in the chest. Niki cries as she sees DL fall. Linderman begins to speak to Jessica/Niki, but just then DL comes up from behind Linderman. DL shoves his fist into the back of Lindermans head, passing into Linderman's brain, and killing him. Jessica/Niki then holds a dying DL on the floor, where Linderman lays dead.

Nathan delivers his victory speech to everyone, as various heroes are shown around NYC. Nathan says the world will now become a better place with him in congress. Hiro is shown leaving his father's presence to go find Ando. Ando is shown with a map and a sword, walking through the city to find Sylar. Niki is seen with DL in her arms on the floor and Linderman laying dead near a gun. HRG and Suresh are seen, with Suresh pointing his gun at HRG and HRG pointing his gun at Molly Walker. Nathan's speech concludes, and Sylar is seen up high on a building roof, using his hands to emit radioactivity. Sylar tries each hand once, then both together, and then with a sick smile, Sylar says "Boom!".
