As they are lying on the floor talking, all of a sudden Elle notices a red dot on Sylar. The two roll out of harm's way as bullets rip through the air. Elle grabs a gun off the ground and she and Sylar rush down the hall. HRG bursts in with his rifle. Elle fires a few shoots in his direction, but as she and Sylar make their escape, HRG is able to shoot Elle in the leg. Sylar grabs her and they get away outside. HRG pursues on foot with a gun, as the two hideout in a nearby trashed yard. HRG yells out how he wants them to be scared just how Claire was, then says under his breath "this ends today".
Nathan is being held prisoner by Haitian's brother, chained to the ceiling in a room with stone walls. There's a woman and child he speaks to in French, but just then Baron Samedi, the Haitian's brother, enters and takes away the woman. Samedi says the woman will be sold as a prostitute. Nathan yells he will stop him, but Samedi remarks Nathan is just a man, and he is a God.
Suresh continues studying the eclipse to find answers as to how it affects their powers. As Flint watches over him, Arthur comes in asking for answers. Suresh says he has studied every aspect but finds no connection. Suresh complains that he's finally cured, yet he's being held against his will now. Suresh realizes that Arthur is paranoid, because he wants his powers back. Arthur has Flint rough up Suresh and hold a lighter to him for motivation to find answers.
Sandra phones HRG and informs him of Claire's condition. Claire asks what to say to the police, and HRG says he'll be right there. As HRG is walking past a wooden fence's door, he notices a bloody handprint. HRG cocks his gun and opens the door noticing drips of blood in a small trail on the ground.
Matt and Daphne continue their conversation in Kansas. Daphne informs Matt she has Cerebral Palsy, requiring leg braces. Daphne says she's back to where she started after losing her powers. Daphne says she probably deserve this because she's a villain. Matt tells her she's a good person, but Daphne says he can't help her. The older man enters the home, and Daphne tells him Matt was just leaving.
Suresh prepares a syringe and tells Flint he needs to inject him to track changes his body's going through. Flint laughs asking if Suresh thinks he's that dumb. Just then, Suresh grabs a microscope and strikes Flint across the head with it. The two get into a fist fight in the lab, with Suresh eventually pushing Flint to the ground and punching him repeatedly. Suresh grabs a Pinehearst swipe card from an unconscious Flint and makes a run for it.
Hiro and Ando are still at the Comic book shop in Kansas. The one clerk asks the other if he's playing some sort of practical joke on him since the new 9th Wonder comic shows everything going on in the store. Hiro and Ando demand the latest issue so they can find out what happened to Hiro's powers. Hiro finds a box of 9th Wonder back issues and buys all of them along with the newest one, saying "Best. Day. Ever".
Sylar helps Elle in a grocery store aisle where there's a trail of blood. Sylar bandages up Elle's wound. A stre employee asks if they need help. Sylar throws cash at him and says they're fine. Sylar suggests they split up to elude HRG. Elle tells him they need to stay together, so the two flee the store.
Samedi escorts the Haitian woman to a tent where he begins to touch her. Just then, Haitian appears in the tent and knocks Samedi down from behind with a rifle. After freeing the woman, she tells them her sister's in trouble. Haitian says they'll save her. Peter and the Haitian tell the woman to run, then Haitian knocks his brother out with the butt of the gun. Peter begins to tie Haitian's brother up.
Hiro goes through back issues of 9th Wonder, seeing past events, including his battle with a dinosaur. Matt Parkman enters the Comic shop asking what they've found out. Ando tells Matt they're researching in the comics. One of the clerks hypothesizes that since there was an Eclipse when Hiro first got his powers, that once the current eclipse ends, their powers will return. Parkman sees Daphne running again in the latest comic. He rushes out of the store to go talk to her before she gets her powers back. Ando excitedly tells Hiro he'll get his powers back and then maybe he'll get his memory restored. Hiro says he doesn't ever want to grow up and runs to the bathroom, locking himself in. Ando sees the pages of the comic showing Hiro's prior love interest in Texas as well as Hiro driving his sword into Sylar and Hiro battling Kenzei in ancient Japan.
Nathan, still in captivity, speaks to the Haitian girl in the room, saying he used to have powers. She can't understand him since he speaks in English. Nathan apologizes for being unable to save her. Just then, Peter and Haitian burst in and free Nathan. They hear Samedi's men making a commotion, realizing they've discovered him tied up. Peter says he's expendable so he'll stay back. Peter takes the rifle and tells Nathan and Haitian to make a run for it while he holds off Samedi and his gunmen.
Sandra encourages Claire to be brave in the face of her situation. Claire says she's sorry for ruining everything. Two police officers come in saying they need to speak to Sandra. Claire says the pain hurts a lot, and she begins convulsing. Hospital staff rush in to try to save her as Sandra screams.
Elle and Sylar rush through a warehouse. They come up to an elevator and Sylar shoves Elle into it, then closes its doors down. He says he's buying them time as he pushes the button and says goodbye to Elle. HRG enters the warehouse looking for them. All of a sudden, Sylar tackles him. The two begin fighting with HRG punching Sylar repeatedly. As the two continue fighting, Claire is opened up on the operating table as the medical team tries to revive her. HRG regains the upperhand on Sylar. Elle comes back up in the elevator just in time to see HRG take a nearby blade. HRG tells Gabriel he always wanted to be special, but now he's nobody. HRG slits Sylar's neck and leaves him in a pool of blood.
The eclipse starts to taper off, as a blue sheet is put over Claire, believed to be dead. Sandra enters the room in tears to look at her daughter. As the eclipse finally ends, the sun shines on Claire and she begins to heal up. Claire wakes up to see her mother who is in shock. Sandra says they need to get her out of there.
Parkman knocks on Daphne's house. Mr. Millbrook comes out holding Daphne's leg brace saying she just left, again. Matt begins to hear Daphne's thoughts and Millbrook thinking if he had done more Daphne would have stayed. Parkman tells him not to think that then heads to the cornfield still hearing Daphne thinking how everything is screwed up. Parkman finds Daphne talking to a scarecrow she named Ray at age 13 as her imaginary friend. Parkman tells Daphne he understands her situation and they're all flawed. Parkman tells Daphne she came to Kansas for a reason to set something right, and tells her to go do it. Daphne rushes to the house and hugs Millbrook.
Samedi's troops begin shooting in Peter's direction. Peter fires back several times to hold them off, but runs out of ammo. Peter holds up the gun in surrender. As the soldiers come at him, Haitian and Nathan come up from behind them, knocking them to the ground. As Peter thanks them for coming to his rescure, Samedi appears behind them and says they may have taken out his troops, but he is a God. Samedi prepares to use a power, but Nathan bursts forward flying straight into him and ramming him into the grill of a vehicle. Peter prepares to shoot Samedi, but Haitian goes up to him instead puts a hand on Samedi's head and drains his power.
Suresh arrives at Maya's apartment in New Jersey. Suresh knocks on the door and Maya tell him just a minute. Just then Suresh notices the lesions are back on his hand again. He ducks down the hallway just as Maya opens the door to find nobody there. Maya finds the address sticky note on the floor.
Ando and the comic store clerk try to get Hiro to come out of the bathroom. Hiro says he doesn't want to grow up and that even the store clerks haven't grown up. Hiro yelled back why bother being a hero, because his father's dead. The clerk told Hiro he gives people hope, and that makes him a hero. The other clerk notices something in issue #1 of 9th Wonders, that Hiro and Claire met briefly during their younger days. They notice in the newest issue of the comic that they meet again at a Greenhouse. The clerk says maybe Hiro needs to meet Claire to get his memory back. Hiro teleports away, leaving Ando behind.
HRG checks on Claire at home, but Claire's mad HRG wasn't there for her earlier. Claire gets angry saying she's just an assignment, then tells HRG she died earlier today. HRG asks when, then rushes downstairs. Claire follows asking what's wrong. As HRG looks for Sandra, Sylar and Elle come out with her. Sylar uses telekinesis to toss HRG up against a wall and holds him there. HRG begins telling Sylar that Arthur and Angela Petrelli aren't his parents and that they're manipulating him. Elle tells Sylar he's lying, but HRG says Elle helped create Sylar. HRG says they can never have a normal life since Sylar killed her father.
Sylar angrily starts to use telekinesis to cut into HRG's throat. Claire screams out. Just then, Hiro teleports in near Sylar. He says "bad man" then teleports Sylar away. Hiro returns behind Elle and teleports her away. Hiro then teleports in and says "Save the Cheerleader", then teleports Claire away. HRG and Sandra are left in the room.
Back in Kansas at the comic shop, Parkman, Daphne and Ando try to find out where Hiro went. The store clerk says that was the last posthumous issue of 9th Wonders that Isaac Mendez did. The clerk notes he heard a rumor at a conference that Isaac gave his sketch book to a humble bike messenger, and if they find him, they find the next part of the story.
Back in the jungle, the Haitian reunites the young girl with her mother. Nathan thanks Haitian for his help and Haitian leaves. Nathan apologizes to Peter for earlier. Nathan then says he's going to Pinehearst because the formula for powers is something that mankind can use. Nathan says with the right use they can stop genocide, wars and other world problems. Nathan says they can't allow things like this to go on when they have the power to stop it. Peter begs him to stop, but Nathan flies off anyways.
Back at Pinehearst, Suresh returns to the lab where Arthur Petrelli is looking at Flint. Suresh is visibly scarred around his face. Arthur says the eclipse showed what they all really are, weak. Suresh says he'll go back to work, and Arthur promises they will find a cure, but Suresh must deal with his inner monster on his own.
Elle and Sylar find themselves on a beach together. Sylar asks her if HRG was telling the truth about his parents. Elle says of course not that Bennet was just messing with his head. Sylar tells her to sit down and begins to kiss her. Sylar then says he realizes she was right before when she said they will never change because they are damaged goods. Elle tells him he's hurting her. Sylar says "I know" and begins to cut open Elle's head.
Hiro and Claire teleport in to the greenhouse to see themselves in the past as children. They see young Hiro at a table playing with a Gameboy. Kaito Nakamura is holding a baby in his arms. Claire watches as Hiro shows her the 9th Wonders Comic scenes with what's being said. HRG says he doesn't think he'd make a good father but Kaito tells him "it's not a request", then tells him not to get too close as he hands the small baby to HRG. The scene is Manhattan NY, sixteen years ago. To be continued....

Season 3: Episode 9: "It's Coming"
Episode 309: "It's Coming"
Heroes opens with scenes from the characters' pasts during an eclipse, with Suresh, Claire, Hiro, Peter, Nikki/Jessica/Tracy all amongst those witnessing it. Things shift to present day Africa where Arthur Petrelli has killed the precog by beheading him, and now has his hands on Hiro's head to wipe out Hiro's memory of the future. He tells Hiro he should never have sent a boy to do a man's job. Ando tries to jump and punch Arthur, but Arthur suspends him in mid-air, then flings him out of the way. Arthur finishes his work, then notices a painting of an eclipse on a nearby rock. As Arthur studies the painting, Ando tackles Hiro to the ground and tells him to teleport them away. Hiro acts puzzled, but Arthur walks up to them, puts his hands on them and teleports them to a Chicken & Waffle bowling alley restaraunt. Hiro asks Ando why he looks and acts so old. Hiro looks into a mirror nearby and notices his older looking face. He tells Ando he believes he's 10 years old.
Back at Pinehearst, Sylar is watching men repair the window he threw Peter out of. Arthur Petrelli teleports in and says it's still hard to believe Peter survived the fall without powers. He tells Sylar he wants to show him how to gain all the powers he wants to without killing. Arthur tells Sylar all he needs to do is access the part of his heart containing empathy. Sylar asks how he knows he can do that, and Arthur tells him he knows Sylar saved Peter from the deadly fall. Arthur brings Sylar to a dark, empty looking room and shuts the door. At the end of the room is Elle in chains. She looks up and sees Sylar there and blasts him with electricity.
Peter is at his apartment, where he prepares to take off so the villains can't find him. Despite Peter's protests, Claire says she's going along so she can protect him. Just then, the door begins to get pounded in. Claire tells Peter to take off out the window, down the fire escape, while she holds them off. Knox and Flint enter, and Claire says they'll never find Peter. Flint prepares to blast Claire, and Knox tries to sense her fear. Claire tells them she's the "defensive player of the year", then bolts across the room and jumps out the window. Claire plummets to the pavement below in the alley, and pulls the fire escape ladder down to help Peter get down. The two find a sewer hole cover, remove it and continue fleeing down in the sewer.
Arthur Petrelli goes to check on Suresh's work in the lab with a test patient. Suresh reports thing aren't working, as it seems impossible to give someone abilities without an adverse reaction. Arthur notices on a computer monitor that Suresh has images and calculations from an eclipse. Suresh says it appears that many of those who gained abilities did so during the last annular eclipse, but he's still hypothesizing. Suresh also reveals that the formula needs some sort of catalyst to make the proteins bond with the enzymes successfully, without an adverse reaction. Suresh remarks that the catalyst would be living inside a human host. Petrelli sees a lightbulb go off and remarks that his old colleague, Kaito Nakamura, hid the catalyst somewhere, but not well enough. The test patient is shown strapped down, grossly mutated, deformed, and in agony.
Back in the darkened room where Elle is chained, she confronts Sylar. She screams at him for killing her father, and Sylar tells her to gain revenge and give him all she's got. Elle shoots a blast of lightning at Sylar, which throws him up against the back wall.
Matt and Daphne arrive at Primatech, which they remark looks like a ghost town. Matt sees the precog Usutu and follows the direction he went to a room. In the room, Matt finds Angela Petrelli. He tries to get into her thoughts but struggles with it as the mindwaves snap him back, then tells Daphne he needs to help her. Daphne rushes off to get a nurse to help, but really speeds her way back to Arthur Petrelli who is looking over Claire's picture/file folder. Daphne informs Mr. Petrelli what Parkman is up to. Daphne asks if he did that to his wife and Arthur says she'll be fine. Daphne asks that he leave Matt out of this, but Arthur reminds her she can go back to her previous arrangement if she wants.
Claire and Peter continue to flee from Knox & Flint. Peter tells Claire she becomes his killer in the future and he doesn't want that happening. He urges Claire to leave now and stop accompanying him. Claire refuses saying it's his fault for ever saving her and being her friend. Down in the dark sewer they hear footsteps coming down the ladder. Claire tells Peter to run. Flint and Knox arrive down the steps. Claire says to get Peter they have to go through her, but they tell her it's her they came for. Knox grabs Claire, restraining her and they take off as Peter overhears it all.
Hiro continues to act like a young child, shooting spitballs at a girl at another table in the bowling alley. Ando tries to tell him of his abilities as a superhero. Hiro is amazed at hearing this. Ando tells him to try his ability. Hiro is able to momentarily slow down people in the bowling alley and a spitball slowly approaches him as he moves aside Matrix-style. Ando tells him to try again and this time Hiro freezes time and everyone around. Hiro sets up all sorts of practical jokes involving the people in the bowling alley, including Ando, then unfreezes time to watch them unfold.
Daphne loses Parkman as he goes inside Angela Petrelli's mind in what appears to be a coma.
Sylar continues to receive the full effect of Elle's anger over him killing her father. Sylar says that she tried to save him at one point, and that he never wanted to kill any of them. Sylar reveals he feels pain over this, but continues to let Elle blast him with lightning to get all her anger out. Finally, Elle blasts Sylar with all she's got and he's full of electricity. Both fall to the floor, and Elle begs Sylar to just kill her.
Nathan and Tracy arrive at Pinehearst so Nathan can confront his father. Tracy asks if he's sure he wants to do this, and Nathan says he needs to. They enter and Nathan's amazed to see his father standing there. Arthur asks for a hug but Nathan confronts him asking if he realizes what he did to the family. Tracy leaves the room. Arthur says he should have told Nathan his role in all of this sooner, the assassination, his Senate seat, all part of his destiny. Nathan remarked that Linderman fed him the same lies. Arthur urged his son to join him in "saving the world" saying he has the formula to do so.
Sylar uses his power to unlock Elle's cuffs and chains. She continues to ask that he kill her and Sylar says he wants to be a good person. Elle tells Sylar she just wanted to capture Sylar so they could use him like a lab rat. She tells Sylar he's a monster, but Sylar remarks they were both made that way. Sylar says he forgives Elle then says she needs to forgive herself. As she does, she remarks the pain is gone. Both Elle and Sylar notice something is different, and then Sylar realizes he has electricity in his hand, symbolizing he acquired Elle's power.
As Knox and Flint try to take off with Claire, Peter steps in and gets their attention. Peter notices an open gas valve hanging above. He baits Flint, saying he doesn't need his powers to take him out. Flint gets angry and shoots plasma/flames at Peter. The open valve shoots flames back at Knox and Flint and Claire & Peter take off running.
Elle and Sylar reconnect as Sylar remarks they're all at war with themselves, just need to find the winning side. Elle shows Sylar some of the secrets of using her power to direct lightning shots. Elle thanks Sylar for saving her and two share a passionate moment, as Arthur Petrelli watches on a TV monitor.
Hiro continues to toy around with his re-discovered ability and begins to teleport. Ando asks him to teleport them to Odessa, TX or Primatech where he might remember more of what he forgot. Hiro teleports them to Sam's Comic shop in Japan and exclaims "I did it!" as Ando shakes his head.
Nathan tells Tracy that Arthur wants to give half the planet super powers in order to save the world. Tracy tells Nathan to get himself together and they should tell the Justice department. Nathan tells Tracy he needs to fly back to Primatech and see what else his mother knows. He tells Tracy to go to Washington and cover for him, then propels himself up into the air, flying away.
Instead of listening to Nathan, Tracy goes back and meets with Arthur. She tells him he needs better PR, and that Nathan could be the face of his cause, since everyone thinks Arthur's dead. Tracy says since Nathan's on the fence she can get him on their side, if Arthur scratches her back.
Parkman continues on his journey to rescue Angela from her coma state. As he sits next to her, he enters her mind and sees her chained in a chair down an abandoned hallway. Angela tells Parkman he shouldn't have come because "he's too strong to stop" and there's no escape. Parkman finds double doors that are open, but just then Daphne is there. Daphne says she's there to help and goes up for a hug. As they hug, Daphne draws a knife out and stabs Parkman in the gut. Matt continues in his nightmare state saying "Daphne No". Meanwhile in Angela's room, Daphne yells for Parkman to wake up.
Daphne grabs Matt's hand and he brings her into his mindstate where Angela is. In what becomes a warped dream state, Daphne sees another version of herself holding a bloody knife, and Matt bleeding. She tells Matt it was all a trick. Arthur Petrelli appears, trying to convince Matt women can't be trusted. Daphne tells Matt she was scared of Arthur and didn't want to return to what she used to be. Finally, the two embrace as Daphne reveals she cares about Parkman. Angela remarks to Arthur that they used to be that way, and with enough of her suggestive power she convinces Arthur to free her binds. Matt and Daphne awaken back in the room. Daphne tells Matt he brought her into his mind and that all she said was true. The two hug in real life, and Angela is awake. Parkman and Daphne rush out to get a doctor.
Just then, Claire and Peter show up down the hallway as Parkman and Daphne are coming out. Peter and Parkman spot each other. Peter yells that Daphne can't be trusted. Parkman pushes Peter up against the wall saying he murdered his own brother then teleported Parkman miles away. Peter tells him it wasn't really him who shot Nathan. Parkman gets inside Peter's head to read his thoughts with Peter saying he has to trust him. Claire gets in between them to stop a fight and asks where Angela is. Parkman tells her she's awake.
Suresh records the results of his trials with the test subject, who has become deformed and in serious suffering. Suresh remarks that the patient's heart rate rose to 164 beats a minute and stayed there for 2 hours. Suresh tells the patient he's sorry. The test subject begs Suresh to just kill him. Suresh contemplates his request then takes out a syringe and injects the patient again in the neck.
Ando begs Hiro to leave the comic store, while Hiro is shocked to see Captain America died in the comic book. All of a sudden, Hiro spots a 9th Wonder comic book on the rack. Ando tells him it will prove what is going to happen in the future. Ando flips it open and it shows them at the Bowling alley. He tells Hiro it's real, despite Hiro thinking it's a trick. They flip to the back of the comic book and the last page shows an eclipse with the words "It's coming" printed below.
Peter rushes in with Claire to check on Angela. Parkman and Daphne go in with them. Angela tells Peter she's fine and that his father's alive. Peter says he knows, just as Nathan shows up and remarks how he spoke with him today. Angela talks about how Arthur is trying to assemble the formula, and it requires not 2 parts, but 3. The third is hidden away in a human host, a catalyst, that only Kaito Nakamura knew of. Claire remembers that Sylar told her she was special when he acquired her powers. It dawns on Claire that she is the catalyst.
The show ends with Suresh narrating about the upcoming eclipse, with the "good guys" and "bad guys" each assembled at their different locations. At Pinehearst are Knox, Flint, Elle, Sylar & Arthur Petrelli. At Primatech are Angela Petrelli, Matt Parkman, Daphne, Nathan & Peter Petrelli and Claire. Suresh is narrating how an eclipse starts with light, ends with light, with darkness in between. The villains are gathered around Mr. Petrelli who is using his powers to draw on a sketchpad. He reveals a sketch of an eclipse and tells everyone "It's coming".

Elle tells Gabriel he has an ability too, and she wants Gabriel to meet others like him. Trevor reveals his power to shoot things with his hand as a gun. Elle asks Gabriel "isn't that special?" and Gabriel is in disbelief. Elle leaves the room saying she has to get something. HRG is seen in the surveillance van grinning.
Angela has dinner with Arthur. As the two are talking, all of a sudden a figure is seen standing behind Arthur. It's the Haitian, and he's able to block Arthur's power of mind suggestion. Angela asks Arthur if he still knows her. He says she's his wife. Angela asks him to reveal if she's going to kiss him or kill him.
Elle plays it up that she's overly impressed by Trevor's power. Gabriel becomes upset asking why she thinks that's so special. Gabriel shows his ability, using telekinesis to throw Trevor up against the wall and pin him there. Elle pleads with Gabriel not to do anything harmful. When Gabriel refuses to let Trevor go, Elle blasts him with lightning. Gabriel asks Elle who she is, then throws her across the room. Gabriel yells for Elle to get out now, and then he begins to cut into Trevor's forehead to steal his ability. Elle rushes out to the van where HRG is. HRG is watching surveillance video with interest, saying Gabriel actually exposes their brain. We see Gabriel inside again, hands covered in blood. He rushes out the door of his apartment.
Angela continues to confront Arthur about his evil intentions. Arthur tries to justify what he's doing, but she refuses to be a party to the murder of her own son. All of a sudden, Arthur gasps, looking at the food they had been eating. Angela says she lied and it's not his mother's recipe. Arthur keels over on the floor. Angela instructs the Haitian to bring Arthur to Level 3 and say he's a "casualty of a field op". Just then, Nathan arrives home, and finds Arthur laying on the floor. He yells out and goes to check on him. Angela rushes in pretending to think he had a heart attack. Nathan says he's still breathing and phones 911.
Elle confronts HRG about how they could have saved Gabriel's soul. HRG tells her they follow orders since they're agents. HRG leaves in a taxi cab. Peter Petrelli exits the cab, being driven by Mohinder Suresh. HRG gets in and tells him to head to JFK.
Angela prepares to talk to Nathan about what happened. A doctor comes out and informs Nathan and Angela that Arthur died of a heart attack. Angela requests an immediate cremation. The doctor goes back into Arthur's hospital room and informs him "it's been done". Arthur continues using auto-mind suggestion and the doctor agrees to find another body for the cremation. The doctor tells Arthur he likely has permanent paralysis. At Arthur's funeral, Peter and Nathan discuss how great a man their father was. Angela tells them not to idolize him like a God, he was just a man. She mutters under her breath "a man who did things they'll never understand".
We finally flash back to Hiro in Africa. Hiro awakens from his dream state, and tells Ando "he's alive" and talks of warning Mrs. Petrelli, Meredith and the others. Ando tells Hiro to slow down. Just then a scream is heard in the distance. Hiro and Ando rush out to see the precog, Usutu, lying in a pool of blood, beheaded. The find his head around a bush, and just then Arthur Petrelli appears behind Hiro. Arthur remarks he knows Hiro's been dreaming about him. Arthur puts his hands on Hiro's head and Hiro begins to scream...To be continued.

Elle Bishop Character on Heroes
In Season 2 of Heroes, the audience was introduced to a sexy new blond heroine named Elle Bishop. Her twisted ability was to generate electricity and direct it from her hands towards various targets, usually those she wanted to inflict pain on. Elle was a conflicted "daddy's girl" working for her father (Bob) at The Company, but also struggling to find herself and find real love. She tried to "ignite sparks" between herself and Peter Petrelli as he was held captive by the Company, but Peter used it to his advantage to escape. She was also partnered up with Mohinder Suresh for The Company, and was highly flirtatious with him. She was involved in a feud with the sexy cheerleader Claire Bennet as well. Elle was constantly trying to make her daddy proud by doing right and catching the right individuals, however she was also suffering failures. In Season 3 of Heroes, came Elle's greatest romantic revelation; she was attracted to Gabriel Gray, another person with strange abilities like hers. It was revealed in the past, that Elle was working with Noah Bennet (HRG) for The Company and her role was to seduce Sylar so HRG and the Company could take Gabriel Gray down. Elle began to identify with Gabriel and saw the good in him, but still went through with the job. Things backfired, Sylar got away and Elle was upset that they were still hunting him down. Sylar and Elle reunited at Pinehearst under the direction of the villainous mastermind, Arthur Petrelli. Sylar gained Elle's power through his heart's compassion, and the two began a brief romance together. The romance was killed off literally when Sylar realized he was still the same serial killer monster as before, and put Elle out of her misery.

Season 3: Episode 2: "The Butterfly Effect"
Heroes Episode 302: The Butterfly Effect
A recap of the second episode of Heroes Season 3 "Villains". In this episode we see the "butterfly" effect of Peter's actions as he tried to change the course of history but instead set off chaos. We learn that everyone is not who or what they seem to be.Mrs. Bennett tends to Claire after learning Sylar broke in and attacked. Claire is picking up pieces of glass and a shard sticks into her hand. Claire then realizes she can't feel any pain, and it's different than her usual ability. Normally Claire says she can feel pain while she heals, and it reminds her she's still human.
Peter & Nathan's mother, Angela Petrelli, has a dream about the future where villains are dominating the scene. She finds a ripped apart place where Matt Parkman and Hiro Nakamura have been killed. She sees Claire and Peter also being killed, then all of a sudden sees Nikki/Jessica along with Matt Parkman's father, and 2 other unidentified villains. Sylar comes up behind her and the dream ends. Angela visits Peter at his apartment in NY, where he's constructing a time line and using a world map. Peter tells his mother he knows things about the future that she can't see. Angela informs him that he's altered time and it made for a bad day for
Claire, then suggests Peter go see for himself.
Maya enters Suresh' apartment/lab to find him hanging up in the ceiling. Suresh jumps down and explains that he injected himself with instant powers. Suresh displays the ability to scale up a wall like Spiderman, and says his senses are heightened. Suresh tells Maya it's only a matter of time before he can reverse the effect and help Maya get better. Animal instinct takes over, Suresh kisses Maya, and Maya reciprocates. The two lay down kissing passionately with Maya saying "you are different".
Matt Parkman is shown wandering in the dessert "Location Unknown" and eventually collapses from exhaustion or heat. The scene shifts to "Part Two", a residential neighborhood where Sylar is walking with the "Level 5" file folder. A car descends on Sylar with two agents pointing guns at Sylar and shooting. Sylar removes the bullet from his chest then uses telekinesis to throw both officers away.
Next we see Elle & Bob at Primatech Facility watching a tape from the car of the incident. Bob chastises Elle for allowing Sylar to escape in the first place. She pleads to let him do better, but Bob says he doesn't want her in that position again.Hiro tells Ando about the various private detectives scouring their offices. Hiro says he hired them to figure out who the girl was that stole the paper, but didn't tell them about her power or the paper. A detective walks up to them and hands Hiro a folder on the girl, named Daphne Millbrook from Paris, France. Hiro and Ando teleport off in search of the girl who stole 1/2 of the formula which can save the world. The two arrive in Paris, France inside Daphne's apartment and find all sorts of stolen artifacts and treasures, including the Mona Lisa hanging on the wall.
Next scene is Governor Maulden and Tracy Strauss (Jessica/Nikki) discussing bringing Nathan Petrelli to a position in Washington, DC. The governor seems to be against Nathan, but Tracy continues to suggest they go for it with Nathan as some sort of media or publicity stunt. The Governor finally approves it and tells Tracy to go visit and "reach out to" Nathan. A reporter approaches Tracy out in the parking
garage and shows her an advertisement flier of her as a Vegas stripper. The man asks for a comment on the story he's going to run about how she left the stripper life behind. Tracy tells him if he runs the story, she'll hunt him down and destroy him.
Claire is filming herself on a camcorder at the train tracks, stating she's making attempt #7 on her life to see if she's even still human anymore. As the train starts speeding down the track, Claire stands in front of it. Suddenly, Peter Petrelli swoops in and pushes Claire out of the way. Peter asks Claire what happened and she explains the ordeal with Sylar taking her power to heal. Peter says that wasn't supposed to happen. Claire begs Peter to train her to use her power so she can fight Sylar rather than being a victim. Peter says he can't be the one because that could change everything. Peter teleports off leaving Claire alone.
Tracy Strauss (Jessica/Nikki) shows up at Nathan's hospital room to invite him to take over a vacated position. Nathan chuckles and tells her to "cut the crap", thinking it's Nikki who he had an affair with in Vegas. She insists her name is Tracy Strauss and she is an adviser for Governor Malden, telling Nathan to check it out. Tracy leaves and Linderman is in the room, telling Nathan that the woman is not Nikki Sanders. Nathan still can't believe this, and Linderman tells him she was giving him a legitimate offer, part of "God's plan". Nathan tells Linderman to leave.
Elle goes back into her father's office and starts explaining how she thinks Sylar will go after Level 5 because it's like a meat buffet for him. Elle doesn't hear a response from her father than realizes he's in his chair, murdered with the top of his head removed.
Elle goes up to Level 5 with a gun and allows HRG to be free, informing him of what's happened. As Elle leaves HRG's cell and turns the corner, HRG sees her body thrown against his cell window. HRG goes out with gun in hand and comes face to face with Sylar. HRG fires several shots into Sylar and he falls against the wall bleeding. Suddenly, Sylar shows off his new ability to heal and tells HRG he got it from Claire. Sylar flings HRG against a wall, then goes after Elle. Sylar displays his new power and turns a gun he picked up into gold, then goes to steal Elle's power. As he's sawing into her forehead all of a sudden Elle screams and a huge blast of energy/lighting is shown flinging Sylar back. When Elle awakes she is being stared at by the overweight, bald inmate who keeps claiming he is Peter. He asks if she's ok just as another inmate rushes over and says "Jesse we gotta go!" Inmates being fleeing the scene, and Elle sees HRG dragging Sylar's body across the hall.
Hiro and Ando continue searching Daphne's apartment to find the missing formula paper. Hiro reveals to Ando what he saw in the future, where Ando was a villain who killed him. Ando suggests maybe it was a robot or someone changed themself to look like him. Hiro decides to set a trap or offer a ransom to lure Daphne to them. He finds a gold medal for 1st place in a race she was in during 12th grade and settles on that.
Peter drops by to see Nathan and learns of Nathan's offer to take over a junior Senate position. Peter changes into his future self, revealing his scar on his face to Nathan. Peter explains he came back from the future to shoot Nathan and prevent a bad world from occurring. Peter says in the process he changed the course of time and now some bad things are happening he needs to set straight. Peter asks for Nathan's forgiveness before going, and Nathan asks if he's supposed to take the position. Peter tells him to be the brother he's always looked up to. Nathan phones Tracy Strauss and accepts the offer on the condition that she will be on his staff. The same reporter who
previously hounded Tracy about being a Vegas stripper comes up to her again in a parking garage, this time with a small portable video player displaying her romp with Nathan Petrelli in Vegas. Tracy becomes enraged and yanks the video player out of his hand. The man grabs her, but Tracy grabs his arm and freezes him until he breaks into pieces of ice.
Elle is at Primatech when Mrs. Petrelli shows up saying the chain of command has changed now that Bob is dead. Elle informs her that they caught Sylar. Mrs. Petrelli tells her that in the process of Elle's outburst, she shutdown the power grid allowing 12 other dangerous people to escape into the population. Mrs. Petrelli then tells Elle they won't be needing her serves at the Company anymore and suggests she find a new life.
Hiro and Ando discuss their plan for Daphne, when she shows up. Hiro offers a trade of her medal for the 1/2 of the formula. Daphne mentions her boss won't be happy and she was about to look for the other 1/2 of the formula. Hiro uses his power to teleport away as Daphne tries to take the medal from him. Finally, Daphne gives in. Hiro gives the medal to Ando to go exchange with her, saying they are both "honorable people". Daphne says "wrong" and uses her speed to charge at Ando to grab the medal away. Hiro freezes time, and Daphne puts a knife to Ando's throat. She asks Hiro if the formula is worth sacrificing his friend. Hiro lets her go, preventing Ando's death, but Ando receives a cut to his neck. As time is unfrozen, Ando begins questioning if Hiro cut him on the neck. Hiro reveals their plan is in effect as he put a tracking device on the medal/ribbon. He tells Ando he couldn't tell him the whole plan since he didn't trust him. The tracking device shows Daphne is in Berlin, Germany, so Hiro and Ando teleport out.
Suresh awakens in his apartment with Maya laying next to him asleep in bed. Suresh gets up and goes to his bathroom mirror to get some water. All of a sudden, Suresh realizes something is happening to skin on his back and he peels a piece off of himself.
Matt Parkman wakes up in the dessert and sees a turtle that he believes is talking to him. The voice says a plant nearby can give him water. Matt grabs the tree/plant and drinks a few drops from it than thanks the turtle. All of a sudden, a man comes up to Parkman and asks why he's talking to a turtle. The man reveals Parkman is in Africa now. Parkman asks for help getting back home, but the man says he must stay, because the future is "not as he painted it".
Nathan is in his hospital room playing chess against Linderman. Linderman says he made the right move taking the Senate position. A nurse enters and tells Nathan it's late and he needs sleep. She asks why he's playing against himself, and Linderman then tells Nathan only he can see him.
HRG is back home and Claire goes into the office/study. She says she's better now with him back. HRG tells her about level 5 and the various villains who got out:
Knox - can absorb people's fears and make them into super-strength for himself.
Jesse - HRG claims not to know what he can do. This is the guy who was claiming he was Peter Petrelli.
HRG tells Claire he needs to go stop these people from doing harm. Claire begs to go and help him, but he says she must stay. She asks what about if someone comes after the family. HRG says he brought in someone to help. Claire's real mother, Sarah, walks into the room and stretches out her palm which creates fire.
Peter Petrelli (future badass version with scar on face) teleports into Level 5. He seems Sylar strapped down on a gurney/bed, then sees that the other cells have been vacated. His mother walks up behind him. He tells her that the inmate Jesse was Peter and he put him there to keep him safe. Angela screams at him to go find her son and then go back wherever the hell he came from.
The scene shifts to a phone booth where Peter is shown making a phone call. He tells Nathan if he gets this message he needs to watch out for someone with a scar on his face who looks just like him. Another villain comes up and says they need to go. Peter looks at his reflection and sees that he is Jesse, the inmate. He hangs up the phone. Meanwhile several of the villains are destroying a gas station and tell "Jesse/Peter" they have to go now.
Heroes ends with Mrs. Petrelli going into Sylar's holding cell. She holds onto Sylar's hand and says she can give him what he's always wanted. She says her son has been a big disappointment. Sylar tells her she isn't his mother, and Angela says "but I am dear", possibly planting ideas into Sylar's memory.

Heroes Season 3 Primer
With Heroes Season 3 approaching us full speed next Monday, it's a great idea to reflect back on the Season that was. We can have a moment of silence similar to the one Hiro had for his father, or similar to the one Adam Monroe had after being buried six feet deep. It all depends on your perspective. Some consider the past Season to have been a huge flop, while others still saw the glimmer of hope for more great Heroes action and stories to come. Let's hope for a bright season 3 full of drama, action and surprises..
Now here's a look back at things to remember from last Season as we head into Season 3: Villains!
- Nathan Petrelli was about to reveal his hero status at a press conference until a mystery man in a hat fired a shot or two into his chest. He was laying motionless in Peter's arms and appeared dead as the season came to a close. Officer Matt Parkman was also on the scene but didn't hear anybody thinking about it.
- Prior to Nathan being shot, his mother Angela was on the phone with an unidentified person. It's unclear if she ordered a hit on her own son, but it was hinted at.
- Nikki/Jessica went into a burning building and rescued Monica who had been kidnapped. The building was shown engulfed in flames as Micah and Monica dove for cover. Nikki wasn't shown afterwards and it was possible she died.
- Claire fell in love with West, a young male with the power of flight just like Nathan's. Their relationship was rocky towards the end, with West flying away. It's unclear if they will be back together or broken apart in Season 3.
- We met Elle (Kristen Bell) last season, a trouble female who could electrocute people. She ended up helping the heroes towards the end, aiding Suresh and Maya, and went looking for Sylar.
- Peter Petrelli had the most "action" during Season 2, as he came back from amnesia, fell in love in Ireland, helped thugs in Ireland, was captured by The Company, escaped the Company, went back to the future, met Adam Monroe (Takezo Kenzei), had a brief battle with Hiro, and in effect, "Saved the World" from a deadly virus being unleashed. Whew!
- Hiro went back in time during Season 2 to meet Takezo Kenzei, whom he thought was his hero. Hiro ended up taking on the role of Kenzei, learning swordplay, saving a princess and fighting Kenzei in a burning fire. They seemed buddy-buddy, up until a feud over the princess. Takezo went on to become a villain and had the power to live through terrible injuries, similar to Claire Bennet. He took revenge on Hiro, murdering his father, and enlisted the help of others to track down and kill founding members of the company. At the end of Season 2, Hiro confronted Adam and eventually teleported him down into a deep grave, where he rests, still alive.
- Dr. Suresh joined "The Company" where he tried to help cure the heroes of genetic diseases. Suresh ultimately had to shoot HRG who had betrayed the Company in order to save his daughter Claire. Later, it was shown that Suresh rescued and possibly revived HRG from the seemingly fatal gunshot to his eye.
- Let's not forgot Maya, Alejandro, Monica and Micah, although they may be forgotten as Season 3 rolls through. Maya is the girl who unleashes her own deadly plague that kills people when she gets upset. Her brother was her calming force, with the ability to bring back those victims to life. However, they met up with and "befriended" Sylar, who ended up killing Alejandro and seducing Maya to bring him to see Suresh.
- Micah went to stay with his grandmother and cousin, Monica. We didn't see any power used by the grandmother, but it's possible she has one. Monica was learning her power to mimic actions she saw, mostly on TV's or iPods. She met with Dr. Suresh and Bob of The Company who tried to work with her to cure her. She ended up trying to use her heroic abilities to save a comic book that some thugs stole from Micah. Monica was rescued from her kidnappers and a burning building by super-strong Jessica.
- Most importantly, the ultimate in anti-heros, the main villain Gabriel Gray aka "Sylar" seems to have regained his powers after an injection from Dr. Suresh. Recall that Sylar ate a brain last season, the brain of Candice who was able to morph herself into various people, and change scenery. This could be really bad for the heroes, but it's unclear if Sylar truly acquired the power...yet.
That's a lot to digest, but hopefully brings people up to speed. I may have forgotten a few important tidibits, so feel free to leave those in the comments for other fans.. Also, feel free to browse past the Season 2 episode recaps here at the Heroes Among Us blog! And now the countdown continues, we have just 5 days Heroes fans!
Heroes Season 3 debuts on NBC Monday 9.22.08, check local listings for times...There will be a special recap episode prior to the new debut episode.

Is Bell Gone from Heroes?
According to the TV Squad, NBC's Heroes will begin filming again this coming June, possibly even May. However, TV Guide's Michael Ausiello is reporting that sexy Heroes star Kristen Bell isn't signed for the new season yet.
A TV Squad author discusses Bell's character's importance:
I see her either coming over to the side of the good guys (if she signs a long-term contract) or completely going crazy because of the way her father has been treating her and trying to destroy everyone and eventually dying in a really dramatic way.
Bell turned down the role of Charlotte on Lost to take the Heroes gig.
I would be surprised if Bell doesn't return because she was shown in an early preview for Season 3 Villains, and it appeared she was caught by Sylar. Of course, it wouldn't be out of possibility for the show to find a way to write her off if a contract isn't worked out.

Questions for Heroes Season 3
Season 3, "Villains" will be a much anticipated next season for the Heroes franchise. Many feel that this past season was a let down, and the writers' strike certainly didn't help as it ended the show earlier than expected. That leaves promise and hope for the upcoming season. The last image we were left with was Sylar regaining his powers by using telekinesis to retrieve a metal can from a cross an alleyway. Here's some questions we'll be looking to answer in Season 3.
- - Are Niki Sanders and Nathan Petrelli dead? Can they be cured via Claire's blood as Maya and HRG were?
- Who was the person who shot Nathan? Also, was this the same person that Angela Petrelli was speaking to on the phone?
- Was Candice working for Bob and The Company when she had Sylar in her custody?
- What will HRG's role be with the Company? Will HRG and Suresh continue to have a conflict?
- Will Elle become a hero on the good side or bad side? Will Sylar go after her?
- Who will Sylar's first victim be in Season 3? Will Peter and Sylar have yet another showdown?
- Will Claire and West still be a couple?
- Will we see any returning characters from the past?
- Since the season is called "Villains", what new villains will we be introduced to? What will their unique powers be?
If you're anxious and want to see some potential tidbits and spoilers on the upcoming Season, check out this article at Taylor's Entertainment News.

Thoughts on Upcoming Finale
Wow, the season finale should offer up quite a bit. According to the preview for next week, "2 will fall", which may mean 2 heroes are gonna bite the bullet. It would seem like someone in the whole Niki/Monica situation is one of them. You'd have to guess Micah is going to ask his mom to go save the day and rescue Monica. You have a gang heavily armed with guns and neither Monica nor Niki can regenerate, so possibly someone there is being slain.
The other death is tough to figure out. Didn't see Hiro in the preview really or Maya. Does Sylar get cured and kill Maya? Does he kill Suresh? The preview showed Sylar against a wall with blood on him. That usually indicates a murder but you never know. The preview indicated a "villain will rise". For villains we have Adam Monroe, Sylar, Elle, and Matt Parkman's dad. Smart money is on Sylar, because I'm going to guess Hiro avenges his dad's death.
It'd be tough to see Claire, Hiro or Peter being one of the deaths. HRG too for that matter, as those are probably some of the more popular characters. In the preview, HRG is shown with his family and says he made a deal to protect them. Does he return to The Company? West could be killed by Elle setting up some sort of major feud for the next go round between Claire and herself.
It seems this season blew right by and lacked that same dramatic intensity of Season 1 (due to its shorter run time). A good example is HRG being shot and supposedly killed, then waking up alive and healed all within 10 minutes. In a longer season we may have been lead to believe he was dead for at least an episode. Also, Sylar was way underused on the show, making it as if there was no real villain this season.
In terms of Maya it would seem she was just a vehicle for Sylar to get his powers back, but maybe she is part of the whole Shanti virus situation. Don't know why, but this seems like it's connected since she unleashes some sort of plague that kills people. Maybe she has the Shanti virus in her, in a different strain. This is just a thought and cold be way off base, but it's a way to connect her to the whole plot.
Hopefully the battle between Peter and Hiro will not let us down and displays some cool swordplay and powers being used. The Heroes finale arrives next Monday at 9PM EST on NBC.

Heroes Episode 10 Trailers
Heroes Episode 10 "Truth & Consequences" looks to feature some great Hero vs Hero battles, including Hiro vs. Peter, Elle vs. Claire, Alejandro vs. Sylar and Micah vs. his cousin. Ok the last one isn't so much of a hero battle, but you'll catch a glimpse of it in the Canadian trailer below.
The Hiro vs. Peter battle should prove interesting, but does anyone besides Sylar really stand a chance against Peter? Yes Hiro can use a sword, teleport and stop time, but so can Peter. We already saw Sylar come out of Hiro's frozen time trap, but that may have been due to Hiro's inability to control his power then.

Episode 8 = Answers & Questions?
Heroes Season 2, Episode 8 had some great scenes with superpowers and special effects and gave us insight into how we got to Season 2's events. Kirsten Bell's character became extremely villainous yet sexy, and we got a cool trip down memory lane to show what happened when Peter went nuclear. As usual it's time to poke a few holes in the show. Again, I'm a fan of this show, but even creator Tim Kring has admitted it has flaws. Here's some things to mull over:
- How did Takezo get to the present day? Teleportation or immortal life? No aging is really shown on him, especially if he was alive back in the time of Samurai Warriors. It is possible that Claire, Peter and Adam don't show signs of aging due to their regenerative powers.
- How does Adam/Takezo know of Peter's powers? They were in captivity together but did he really get the full list? Or did he overhear someone say "Peter is an empath and can take on powers"?
- Does the Haitian's memory block work to block out powers of people nearby that he focuses on? That's my guess because Elle was able to shoot lightning at Peter while Peter was "powerless" it seemed. Recall last season when he was in the same police precinct or station as Matt Parkman and Parkman couldn't listen to mind thoughts from Claire or HRG in the interrogation room.
- Sylar's disappearance from the "fight scene" at the end of Season 1 was not shown, although it was a "teaser" in the preview last week. Best guess is Candice was able to work some magic and pull him down into the sewers, but it would have been nice to see the background of who saved Sylar. Candice seemed to be working for someone due to the cell phone call she made.
- The second shooting of DL was a bit "thrown into the mix" just to kill him off. A little more creativity might have been used here. For example, why not one of Linderman's ex-workers extracting some revenge for the murder of his boss? The firefighting use of his powers was a good inclusion.
- Despite the continued talk of the Petrelli father committing suicide because he was delusional, it's hard to buy on a show like this. Biggest question would be what are/were his powers?
- Also, it's understandable about the need to show how clever and covert "Company" agents are, but having them instantly appear in the very hospital that Peter rushed Nathan to, was just a bit much. The locating device to find heroes is Molly Walker, who they most likely didn't have access to at that time. The question would be how did they locate Peter and Nathan so fast, as they indicated they were tracking both. And how did they manage to be in the very hall that Peter was sneaking down?
- Finally, while I'm far from a science major, it seems tough to explain how Elle's lightning blasts are enough to knock Peter Petrelli out, but his own self-charged radioactive blast wasn't. Very intriguing, maybe Elle is one of the most powerful superheroes in all of the land.
There's probably going to be a few showdowns. Possibly Peter vs Sylar part 4, Hiro vs Adam and maybe Elle vs one of the female heroes. Peter is by far the coolest of the heroes, but how cool would it be if there was a female version? Looking forward to next week, as we have just 3 or 4 episodes left in this season.
